“Overall, I would say our stay was not good. The biggest downfall was how dirty the place was when we checked in - there was old food on the kitchen counters and the bathroom was disgusting! There was crusty diarrhea on the toilet, hair in the shower, dirt on the shower bench and in the sink, and dirty toilet paper holder. The shower had both yellow and black mold in the grout! Clearly it had not been bleached in a long time! We took pictures of everything and notified book hocking who apologized and assured us a cleaner would come out the following morning to reclean the place. When we got back from hiking, nobody had come and the place was just as dirty. After notifying book hocking yet again, they sent out an area manager that afternoon and, yes, they finally did reclean the bathroom. So we took our first shower that night and noticed there was no body wash and the shampoo was low. How frustrating! Because our trip was just a 2 night stay, we left the next morning. So disappointing.”

“The house was great. The beds comfortable and the location was great. Convenient to lots of different trails, including one on the property, that is very beautiful. There were only 3 wine glasses, but the host remedied it quickly by bringing an entire box of new glasses. We were disappointed because the pool was closed, and when we booked it said it would be open until 10/1, the host was very apologetic and offered a partial refund for the confusion and unavailability of the amenities. The house space is great for hanging out in the main room and the lovely full wrap around porch. There was also a cat hanging around that we decided to name Berry. Overall, it was a great stay, and the host was very responsive to any issues.”

“Before we even left, we were planning our return! This home and the grounds are true tranquility ! You must experience its peace and beauty in person. Every detail is thought of, and the communications are wonderful. Such prompt answers to all my questions and immediate assistance throughout our stay. WONDERFUL does not say enough!”
