“this place was the most magical property I have ever stayed at. They so graciously allowed us to host our wedding here and it was the most perfect stay & venue. all of our loved ones were able to spend the night and had plenty of space. (25 guests) Penny the host was so kind and helpful. I recommend this place highly for any big events / gatherings / weddings etc. they have a beautiful walkway over the lake with plentiful seating & and archway at the end. Perfect for a wedding . We couldn’t have asked for a better experience at the timberframe lodge . We are hoping this place stays open for many many years to come, then we can bring our children , family reunions , etc and tell the kids “this is where we had our wedding! “ thank you book hocking and penny for the great experience.”

“I cannot recommend this place enough. The pictures don’t do the cabin justice. The evenings in the hot tub and at the fire pit were magical after a long day of hiking. The Book Hocking team was the icing on the cake by being super responsive and giving on point recommendations for the area. Their knowledge of the area and friendliness made the stay that much better. We were first time visitors to the area and thanks to our experience at Thompson Retreat we will be returning again and making sure to book our stay through Book Hocking.”

“We had a very wonderful time at this cute cottage. It was squeaky clean, private and very peaceful. We enjoyed late nights in the backyard sitting around the fire pit chatting for hours. The hot tub adds a very nice touch too. Thank you for opening up your beautiful cottage so our family could enjoy a very memorable vacation. Everyone in our family agreed that simply staying at the cottage all weekend would have been enough. Hocking hills state park is beautiful too and we will be back to see more of it. I give this host 1000 stars!!”

“Beautiful house over looking the mountains, inside was tastefully decorated and perfectly matched the name “Bearadise Ridge”. House was clean and had all the cooking amenities, there is a fun spiral staircase leading to the basement where you find some fun games for kids and adults, be careful tho going down the stairs my daughter did twist her ankle because the staircase is a bit of a tight squeeze. The hot tub was clean and definitely paired well if you plan on doing any hiking. Host was very responsive and if any problems arise they take care of it in a timely manner. Definitely recommend.”

“My friends and I went on a girls trip here. Beautiful cabin. It was decorated really cute - it was cozy and comfortable and lots of amenities. Cabin and outdoor spaces were clean and private. The hot tub could have been cleaner but we still enjoyed using it. Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking equipment. Also located just 15 minutes from a delish coffee shop with tons of fun shopping called Oasis. You have to check it out!!! Please note that well water was very strong smelling and to bring bottled water to drink!!! This is common for hocking hills and nothing against the hosts. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for having us.”
