“Better than expected!”

“Walking into the property and seeing the setting sun over the water was jaw dropping. Kona Reef is a real quiet and peaceful oasis right off of the busy Ali’i drive. All of the amenities of the unit really ensure you can make the most of your time, rain or shine. Huge bonus having a variety of scuba gear and beach gear to take on your adventures. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting a wonderful spot on the water in Kona!”

“We were unable to complete our stay due to severe weather advisories and official local emergency declarations. When we reached out to discuss necessary adjustments, the host was unwilling to work with us on a cancellation, rebooking, or partial resolution. Communication was rigid and unaccommodating during a serious situation. While we did not physically check into the property, the lack of support and flexibility from this host prior to arrival was extremely disappointing.”

“The property was clean & a very convenient to walk into town. It is exactly as described. The bed matress is perfect for those who like a very soft feel. The rooms are spacious & the kitchen had great amenities. We appreciated the bag of coffee that was waiting for us when we arrived. The view from the lanai was amazing! You can hear the waves crashing throughout the day. We enjoyed the small beach that is right next to the condo, along with the provided beach chairs & gear. The pool was amazing! It was always clean and the perfect temperature. During our stay, at every sunset there were 2 gentlemen who blew in conch shells enhancing the island vibe of the sunsets. The reason for only 4 stars is because during our last 2 days of vacation, we were not advised that there would be concrete brick demolition on the garage parking structure which made it impossible to sleep in and enjoy any serenity while out on the lanai. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. I definitely recommend this condo!”
