Blue Swell in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

“My family lives in Hawaii, and this was the first time I decided to stay in an Airbnb here. I can’t even explain how amazing our stay was. The house and amenities were incredible. The home was so comfortable and cozy, and we absolutely loved the view of the golf course. We kept joking that it felt like we were watching the Golf Channel from the lanai. The pools were amazing as well, and we ended up eating at Sunset Terrace every day during our stay. The food was always spot on, and the service was excellent. I also really appreciated how welcoming, communicative, and accommodating the host was throughout our trip. We had such a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again!”

“Overall I would rate this place 3/5 stars just because the view Is spectacular. Upon arriving to our unit there were dead bugs covering the entire floor of the hallway to the bathroom all the way into the shower in the main suite. Cleaning is not the way you want to start your vacation. While booking this place keep in mind that there will be lizards everywhere you turn. The a/c is only in the bedroom and does not cool you off at night. The bedroom ended up being our main living space for the time we were there. We luckily booked 2 different places during our trip. If you enjoy the heat and critters this is to place for you.”

“The swimming pool was great and check in was mostly smooth but was hard to find late at night with Google Maps directions. It took us to the neighboring hotel. There are also other things that could be fixed to improve this stay. There is a short window for changing reservations and you must stay for a minimum of 2 nights. The room was also clean otherwise but there were also several bugs we saw inside the unit. There is also limited parking so you will likely need to park on the street.”

“I stayed here for ~2 weeks and had a great stay. The location walk walkable to the Kona shops and water which was super convenient! The host also had many great recommendations on things to do + gear like snorkels, umbrellas, beach chairs were readily available which was a huge life saver! Would definitely come back or recommend this place to anyone visiting the big island.”
