Blue Swell's guest rating of 4.67 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Location, beds and provided beach gear was great. Space was smaller and more dated than we expected. We noticed repairs with zip ties, and the fridge door clicked an popped when opening. The front door was heavy and closed fast, in an attempt to keep it from slamming (as requested) in squished my fingers pretty bad. Complex is quiet and tricky with smaller children.”airbnb

“Only issue: check-in communication. We messaged earlier asking if we could arrive 1–2 hours early; after almost 24 hours we called and were told we could check in at 2:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM. When we arrived at 2:00 the lock wouldn’t open — after calling back we were told the property wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be available until 4:00. That miscommunication was inconvenient because we had planned around the earlier time, but it was a minor hiccup overall. The property itself was great: the listing photos are accurate, it was very clean, and the beds and showers were comfortable. Towels and toiletries were high quality, the house is cute and roomy, and the location is excellent — about a 15-minute drive to Pier Park and under a 5-minute walk to the public beach access. There was plenty of parking for our cars, it was quiet, and we had a lovely stay. We would definitely book this place again.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, I experienced a safety issue during my stay here. The balcony lock engaged behind me when I closed the door, trapping me on the balcony. I was lucky enough to have my phone on me, so I called for help. Building staff could not gain access to the unit because the deadbolt on the front door was broken, so an emergency locksmith had to be called. He still did not fix the balcony lock. I later learned the balcony lock unintentionally engaging was a known issue. I was stuck for about 90 minutes on the balcony, and then had to stay an extra 30 min while the locksmith replaced the front door deadbolt. As a result of the 2 hour incident, I missed a prepaid snorkel excursion that cost $190. Despite the severity of the situation and the known lock issue, the host only offered $30 in compensation. I would strongly encourage the host to resolve these safety and access issues, and for guests to reconsider before staying here.”airbnb

“the location of this place is GREAT! going through this PM company, not the best. cockroaches, dirty walls, dirty beds. it’s hard to get ahold of them. but if you won’t be spending much time there, it’s a good place”airbnb

“They took forever to call us back , sent someone out once & never came back to fix the problem . We had to boil water on the stove & was our kids , plus ourselves in the sink . We were very upset with the matter they treated us , it was very inconsiderate , & we deserve a partial refund .”airbnb

“Make sure to check Airbnb messages in advance of check-in date. Check-in process is difficult when booking via Airbnb and you have to fill out separate rental agreement, etc, etc. Also, make sure to call day of check-in to confirm they have your email address so they will send you WiFi password, beach access etc. we did not receive ours until the next day. But very clean, as advertised. Easy beach access”airbnb

“The place wasn’t bad. The kitchen needed a few more things like a cheese, grater cupcake pan a cookie sheet a broiler pan definitely would’ve been nice, but it was the real estate company. They were right across the street and nobody ever came over to check out the leak even though I complained three times and we had to leave early because the leak was so bad”airbnb
