Wavecrest Beach Vacations

Wavecrest Beach Vacations's guest rating of 4.39 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We had to pay $30 a day for parking and trash.

The location was good and right on the beach. The room itself was dirty and stains throughout(furniture and mattress). The place needs a deep clean! The host did offer the cleaning crew to come and re-clean but we decided to clean ourselves as all of our personal belongings were inside. The check in instructions were completely inaccurate, no keyless check in as stated. We received a text stating a code would be provided once the room was ready, and instead we had to wait in a very long line at the hotel lobby to get key cards. Ocean Annie’s is a fun atmosphere but next time, we will stay elsewhere and walk or drive to visit that location.

The hot water exploded without repair for 2 days. Water was coming up from floor, no water pressure, staff coming in unannounced and security camera speaker was going offthe entire stay.

Pillows u will have to fold multiple times. U get directions to fitness room not the actual room. My sons eyes swelled up from opening them in pool, I’m assuming to much pee in pool. Other than that the room was good & clean.

Unfortunately, this stay did not match the listing or basic cleanliness expectations. Upon arrival, we found multiple water bugs and roaches inside the unit. I immediately notified the host, but the only response was that they would notify the cleaning team, and the issues were never resolved during our stay. The comforters were very dingy, and one had a noticeable brown stain that appeared unsanitary, so I purchased my own blankets rather than use the bedding provided. The carpets throughout the unit were also visibly filthy. In addition, the hallway outside the unit had a constant wet, musty odor. The listing also advertised “beach access,” which was misleading, as there was no direct beach access as we expected based on the description. I hope these issues are addressed because the property has potential, but future guests should be aware of the cleanliness concerns and ensure the listing accurately reflects what is being offered.

Upon arrival the front desk was a little rude. Had trouble with door key pad. Room was very dusty, hair on the floor in common areas, and bathroom. Bathtub in master area clogged with standing water with every shower. No linens for pull out couch. Asked for 3 days for towels and they finally brought some after days worth of messages. Memorial Day weekend(bike week) we heard gunshots in our bedroom at 10pm. People screaming and partying all around. Breakfast is NOT included when you book through AirBnb. Some of the security allowed blasting inappropriate music while me and my children were in the hot tub. The people with blasting music also dancing all over and not being appropriate. Blinds in master bedroom are not the accurate size. Weed smells throughout the hallways. Not very child friendly.

The host was amazing! However, if you are scared of bugs or have children DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT!! This unit is infested with 2 1/2 inch cockroaches that packed our bags up and put us out!! The property manager will give you a hard time getting your refund back! PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE!

I arrived after a 9 hour drive yo a lock that wouldn't open with the code provided. Called customer service number and was on the phone with them for 30 minutes while they insisted the code was correct and had me repeat the same procedure 11 times attempting to unlock the door with no resolution and no additional offer of assistance. The representative ultimately hung up on me in lieu of providing assistance. By the time I was contacted again, we secured alternate accommodations got the night. As a cancer patient with extended travel, I needed to lay down somewhere other than the hallway outside the unit.

One bathroom had hair in shower and on walls. 2 of 3 beds had hair in it. Main bed appeared to have just been made up after being slept in. It had hair in every layer. Towels even had hair on them. They did respond and reclean next day but shower and towels still contained hair after. We were left with 1 twin to fit 3 people. I appreciated the reclean but we still lost a night of sleep and paid way too much for a dirty used condo. No other compensation offered and just given the run around. Wavecrest keeps saying they will contact me by so and so date and it just passes. I then reach out again and another date is then passed. Horrible experience because of this. Recommend to use someone else.

bad experience end to end. i booked several months in advance, no problem. a week out i was sent a contract to sign that was not previously disclosed with terms conflicting the listing. i flagged to the owner and airbnb, after which the owner changed the listing and tried to gaslight me. after multiple requests to just cancel for a full refund, they refused, but did waive the additional contract. upon arrival to the unit, which is part of a duplex, there is already another group in our unit, fully moved in. their door code worked both doors, ours didn't work theirs. call the host and waited 3 hours for them to inform us to switch to the other unit. in the unit, all the beds listed as queens were actually doubles. very cramped for our group. i talked to the neighbors and checked what was supposed to be our unit and it was the same set up. other than all that, it was generally fine. apportioned well enough for a beach house and it is located on the beach.
