“We had an overall good stay and really enjoyed many aspects of this property. Pros: • Prime location that made getting around easy. • The backyard is cozy, charming, and a great place to relax. • The outdoor fish fountain was such a fun touch—our kids loved checking on the fish every day. 🐠 • The house was generally clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Cons: • We had pool maintenance workers show up around 7:30 PM one evening and again the following afternoon without any prior notice. It felt a bit uncomfortable having people enter the backyard unexpectedly while we were using the space. • The fence gate doesn’t lock, so there were people coming and going throughout our stay, which affected our sense of privacy. • Several sinks were clogged or drained very slowly, including the kitchen sink. The garbage disposal also appeared not to be working. • The kitchen was missing some basic essentials such as paper towels, dish soap, and a sponge, making it difficult to clean pots a”airbnb

“Home was in terrible condition. Dark stains/colored stains all over the carpet. Scuffs and holes all throughout walls. Ethernet cord from upstairs is running down wall, under carpet and taped to floor. Multiple light fixtures in the home did not work. Upstairs bathroom has a leaking tub faucet. Icemaker did not work, refrigerator is dented. Several wasp nest in front and back yard. They did not allow us to use garage which made it very difficult to unload during rain, which it rained several days there. Property managers left the back yard gate open several occasions. Also it appears they have access while you are staying there. They know when you leave and arrive by the doorbell camera. We tried to move the same day we arrived and they would not allow it. We even asked for a refund and they would not honor it or give any type of credit.”airbnb

“I enjoyed my stay at Vello Properties. I had to stay in Tempe for 4 days to take an accelerated chemistry course at ASU, so this was perfect and within walking distance. I wanted a place with a small kitchen so I could cook my own food and that was also what made me choose this property. The communication for the most part between the property manager and I was simple at first until I requested a late check out the day before. I was told I could check out at 2pm due to the time my lab ended, only to return to the airbnb to find cleaners in there. It made it awkward for me to get changed and head to the airport after so I was rushed out of there. The only advice I have for the property managers is to please get rid of the Teflon pots and pans they have for cooking. Those types of pots and pans are toxic and the materials they are made with end up directly in your food and cause cancer. As a cancer survivor, I refuse to eat from pots like that. And I wasn’t able to cook food properly.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, my experience at this property was disappointing. There were a significant number of spiders around the house, and while I initially tried to overlook it, I later found an insect on my pillow, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and pest control of the property. The exterior of the home also appeared to need maintenance and upkeep before hosting guests. Additionally, the shower curtain had noticeable yellow staining along the bottom. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. The host was not responsive when concerns were raised, and there was also limited communication during attempts to address the issues through Airbnb support. I hope this feedback helps the host improve the property and guest experience in the future.”airbnb

“We stayed at this home in Jan. 2026 and was very pleased. The location is great and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. It is near the Dart Rail station . The house is roomy and quiet. After our last stay we made suggestions to the managing company about some updates that needed to be done to give the home a fresher look, such as new welcome doormat on porch,( first impressions), new living room rug, etc. When we arrived this time no changes had been made and the items looked more "tired" than before. Overall I would recommend this home if you need to be staying in the area.”airbnb

“Where to start. The house is fun. The idea is fun. The execution is another story. The safety issues surrounding this Airbnb are many. Absolutely do not rent this property if you have small kids. Almost no railing around the decks/pool. There are three 4x4 hot metal flooring pieces they added by the pool that will literally burn your skin off if you accidentally step on them. The bunk beds are one sleep away from falling completely apart. We had to take the mattresses off and sleep on the floor. Sewage was coming from the ground by the pool. We had three contractors show up during our stay and literally just walk around with zero care we were there. (We had a teenage daughter with us! Would be nice to know that men we didn’t know were showing up with her by the pool in a swimsuit) They put chemicals all over everything and then put wet chalk all around the pool. You can’t flush toilet paper.”airbnb

“The property itself is very beautiful but between both houses they were not stocked enough with towels, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Both bathroom showers in the main house do not get warm enough for the open concept shower they have and the one in the pool house does but only has enough room to stand straight up in. There were flies everywhere alive and dead under bathroom sinks and behind chairs/ couches. There is only one actual bedroom, the others are beds in shared spaces. The main bedrooms ac vent was so loud when it would turn on, sounds like something could be loose. They did not have a few basic things like foil and oil. There was a propane grill with 7 tanks, all empty. The swimming pool was dirty with duck/geese poop inside and out as well as almost too cold to even enjoy. My son also found 2 nails in their pool on the first day and their response was “thanks for letting us know”! Unacceptable response in hospitality.”airbnb

“The location, house and neighbors were very nice. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean. The concerns we had: yard was not maintained / mowed, the pool was not clean so the kids cleaned before using, the propane grill was not working which was inconvenient as we planned to grill our meals, they did however have a charcoal grill which was full of burnt coals / unkept. Outdoor furniture has seen better days and should be replaced. The air-conditioning when set at 68, was monitored so it was always being reset to 71+ so we would wake up or find house was very warm at times. Lastly, we were charge $206 extra for 3 additional guest that stayed for 2 nights out of the 3. This was an unexpected charge as the house allotted up to 10 guest and we were not at capacity. Vello Properties should take time to maintain / improve the yard and outdoor area; this would definitely be a benefit the rental.”airbnb

“Do not stay here until they fix the AC and the construction across the street stops Also they gave my personal phone number to a property manager who texted and called, then yelled at me when I called back”airbnb

“If you want an Air Bnb that is peaceful and quiet dont stay here. The first morning here we were woken up by multiple landscapers with extremely loud leaf blowers and were never informed these people would be showing up. Then the next day we had an unexpected surprise from the pool cleaner who randomly popped up in the back yard this was the second time that we were uninformed that people were going to be showing up. The lack of just basic communication from these owners is completely unacceptable and I urge you to look elsewhere for an Air Bnb. Besides the service the home is outdated and when you're here you can really tell how little effort the owners put into maintaining the home. It is also on the market I wouldn't put it past the owners to show the house while their are guests in it.”airbnb
