“Host was not customer service oriented. We were told 2 days before arrival about a boarded up glass door in the master and were offered minimal compensation, only after repeated requests. Space was comfortable for our group of 4 with one person using pull out sofa. The high ceilings made for a spacious environment and AC was excellent. Only light in bedrooms was overhead light and bedside lamps were not provided upon request. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. River access was tricky due to steep stairs. House is surrounded by large rental properties that accommodate big groups and at times we could hear their music from inside. We weren’t able to enjoy river views during the day due to lack of shade. For over $800 per night, we expected better customer service. Overall we had a wonderful experience.”

“Lovely location on the river. We enjoyed our mornings sitting on the patio watching the river and the wildlife. The house itself wasn’t to our taste, though the description of the amenities and features was technically accurate. The biggest issue is that air conditioning is provided by window units. The unit in the main bedroom was so loud that it was very difficult to sleep. I would have also liked the house to be a bit cleaner. There were spiders and webs everywhere, among a few other concerns that I’ll address privately with the company as they are easily remedied. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and dining implements though there weren’t any cooking staples like spices, oil, etc, so don’t forget to bring your own.”

“We had a very nice time and it was great to be right on the water, but in a quiet area so we could really enjoy it. The house was very clean, and while smaller inside than we expected, it had plenty of outdoor space for all of us. It was also very clean. The bathtub is wonderful for adults (can’t remember if it says in the listing but this one only had a handheld shower wand, so there’s functionally only one shower and one bathtub in the home). Be aware you are renting from a company, not an individual…so there’s charges for things like arriving early (the locks are timed so you can’t get in even a second before checkin time) and bare minimum of amenities (ex. had to buy paper towels and dish towels cause there was only two for a house that sleeps 6+).”

“The place, view and accommodations were as described. The walk around the house to pool was quite steep so carrying stuff to and from and going back and forth to the restroom was a chore. On the last night there we ran into septic issues. Half our party left because we all needed to take showers and some needed to use the restroom and we’re unable due to the issues going on. The rest of us made do because the travel we had the next day. I realize it was close to 11ish and later when conversations were going on, but it made for an uncomfortable last night at the house with no real answers other than it was the weekend and a holiday so limit usage. Just a very disappointing end to good weekend.”

“The location was amazing and had a beautiful spot on the water. When we arrived, most of the kitchen cabinets were labeled “open gently” because they were barely hanging on and close to breaking. A lot of the lights did not work and the house was not well maintained. When we got into rooms, one bed had crumbs all over it. Another bed had an earring in it like the sheets have not been washed and the downs stairs had multiple chip/snack bags under the beds. In the upstairs bathroom, there was few clean towels and most of them were in the dirty clothes basket and forgot to wash. Also, the trash was not taken to the road, so all you could smell was old trash at the house. Overall, the house was poorly maintained and cleaned.”

“The house was absolute beautiful! here are the things that we were very upset with: nearly impossible to unlock/open front door(sometimes took over 5 min to get in), bedroom door would shut all the way, toilet seat in master bathroom needed to be replaced, 1 partial roll of paper towels for 12 guest for 4 days, no Kleenex, hard to get hot water, coffee maker does not work well:takes 45 min to brew 1 pot of coffee, 3 coffee pouches, again, for 12 people for 4 days, could not find extra sheets, only 2 kitchen towels found-had to use bathroom towels and washcloths for kitchen, pool table was so close to walls that cue sticks would hit the wall when trying to hit the ball, crust corrosion on master bathroom showerhead.Also there were no instructions on what to do before checking out, and light switches were not marked well...there are many, many light switches! not at all what we have experienced before! SORRY! But like I said, the house and lot were beautiful!”

“House was cute and clean inside. Disappointed pool was not clean until I called. Grass was high. Yard was never cut until evening before checkout. Never used outdoor amenities. No air in game area which was located in detached garage. Air condition was really loud in the house.”

“Pictures of the lake are very outdated. I asked the host if the lake is accessible from the property and was given an evasive answer. To our dismay, the waterline was half a mile from the house and required a hike through tall brush so to me and my small children the water was not accessible by foot. Also the nearest boat ramp in the picture is dry. If you plan to visit the lake from this house then you have to go to the park and pay, or find an open boat ramp. The pool was murky so we didn’t get swim until the second day. On day 2 we had to throw out food on the counter because it was crawling with ants. The house was nice with a beautiful view but the pictures and host could have been more honest. I was looking forward to more water access and this experience fell short for the price we paid.”

“In the house everything was good, just only found one old pan for cook, the outdoors deck it’s old and the stairs need maintenance also the outdoor gas grill it’s very old and only one side is working and recommend pest control there’s a lot of spiders”

“House is good , location is good, but the company managing is really the one that needs to be replaced. Our first night was very bad as non of the heaters worked and it was terribly cold outside. Kids slept with their sweaters on and we were not comfortable. When we tried to use the restrooms, firstly the faucet smelled like poop and the water was black in color, then the toilet in the downstairs room which they never mentioned is like outside and secluded from the rest of the house. It was stinky and black in color. If the company can maintain this house could be an amazing stay. All Kitchen cups, mugs utensils were dirty and we had to wash them. Its only the management which is not doing the job. I am not sure if the owner knows about all this mess. Well overall a good house but not maintained at all. book on your risk.”
