Manager Review

The Proper Group

The Proper Group's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The house is beautiful, large and in a great location. The second floor hallway bathroom was not cleaned between us and the last guests. The shower curtain was pink with mold and smelled very musty. There was hair all over the bathroom. The floors throughout the house were sandy and dirty. We cleaned most of them and the house cleaning staff did clean one of the bathroom floors when they brought linens. There were only 8 forks, two beds lacked sheets and there were nine towels. They did eventually bring the bed clothes and towels and we bought silverware and left it so this shouldn’t be an issue for the next guests. The property manager didn’t respond at all on Saturday so that was frustrating. Overall our stay was nice. We had no complaints with the house itself. It was in decent shape and comfortable. There was a lot of beach chair. We brought our own, but we were very surprised at the amount of chairs they have on hand. We had NO ACCESS to the garage, they’re adding living space.

While I enjoyed my stay, I was not a fan of the lengthy check out procedure that was only advised after I booked. For the price, the cleaning fee, and the non refundable pet deposit, the lengthy list of check out requests didn't seem appropriate. That's in addition to the 'no shoes inside' rule when the entire home is tiled flooring. Finally, the back yard cameras felt like I was being watched. They'd activate and record every couple minutes making it seem like we were actively being monitored every step of the way. Beyond my concerns, the property has a lovely view and is located conveniently.

Finding a portalet and construction dumpster in the yard was a big surprise. It was from the next door addition. The floor plan downstairs is strange. There are bedrooms on each side of the foyer but you have to use the foyer to get to bathroom. The primary suite is also strange. You go through a walk in closet to get to the bathroom. The kitchen floor was dirty, the grass needed cutting and there was a big plant blocking the walk to the fenced in area.

The house is huge. The housekeeping was my only problem. Upon arrival Lots of trash bins overflowing in front of the home. Several beds were not changed, sheets dirty. Floors not vacuumed. No hands towels in the home. Hairs in the showers. Dirty bandaids in game room. We immediately contacted the property management. We were told me would get a refund. After checked out we contacted the property management but no one will answer my questions regarding the refund.

The view is amazing. If you plan to use the dock, warning. The tide shifts the water level 7-8 feet. The dock has no protection on it at all. One useable cleat. The other one is rusted and could break off at any moment. If we stay here again, I’d pay to dock the boat at marker 8. The house is ok. Beds are average. Linens are a little worn. Kitchen was has the essentials. Nothing extra. The garbage disposal didn’t work so it kept filling with water. Location was perfect. It’s a quick walk over the bridge to old town. Went to Saint for dinner and loved it. You can see turtles and dolphins from the dock. Loved that.

The unit was exactly as described — very clean, well-stocked, and in a great location. We enjoyed an unobstructed sunrise view every morning right from the unit, and it was just a short drive to area attractions, restaurants, and shops. The beach was beautiful. We found plenty of unusual shells and starfish, and were thrilled to spot two sea turtle nests right next to our building! One area for improvement: Check-in instructions directed us to the office for a parking pass, but the office is only open Monday–Friday, 9–4. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to find it closed, with tow-away signs posted for cars without passes — a stressful welcome! We lucked out when a kind resident gave us an extra pass, but guests should be aware and plan accordingly. Instructions for pool and beach access would also be helpful for weekend arrivals. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return and recommend to others.

This house has so much room an everything you need. The play room and pool were a hit! And it’s conveniently located to every store you’ll need, the beach and i95. I will say the cleanliness of the kitchens could have been better. Both fridges had spilled liquid still inside and hair in the fridge. Also notice hair in the showers.

House well appointed. Did an ingenious job of designing place for large groups We were charged by host for something that was damaged prior to our arrival. Hosts were threatening and what should have been a simple situation became a ridiculous power struggle. I have loved my experiences with Air B n B. Not this time but the house was great.

Pictures made the house seem bigger and better then it was. It was also chopped up like a maze for some rooms like the room off the pool. The kitchen, main living room and dining room were very nice. A lot of things could have been better. There's no chalk for the pool table, heat for the pool turned off at 8pm. Along with poor lighting in the pool it's self.. We still had a good time because of good company. But there will need to be a lot of changes before I rent this one again. Just being honest!

The place is great for big groups! Clean house with everything you will need to accommodate a big group with meals. Fun stuff to do like billiards, old school arcade games and “pop a shot”. Lots of room for fun or privacy. Only issue we encountered was a hot tub without water and a pool that was not heated after multiple requests. I was told that both would be heated 48 hours prior to arrival. The management team did not know the hot tub didn’t have water or the pool wasn’t heated. They did get a technician out on day three of our 5 day stay to get water in the hot tub. Neither the hot tub or pool was heated enough to use before the end of our stay. Very dissatisfied with that but overall is a great place to stay.
