Tahoe Vacation Rentals
4.71Visit website
Tahoe Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We had mixed feelings about this property. The location was great, and we enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was relatively clean, and the bathrooms appeared to have updated finishes. However, several maintenance issues affected our stay. Some of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets were sticky and falling apart, with loose parts left inside. The second bathroom had no window covering, despite looking directly into a neighbor’s room. The damaged screen door slammed shut quickly and injured one of our guests. Toiletries were not provided—which was mentioned in the listing but also surprising given the price we paid—and some carpets and rugs were visibly stained and dirty. The walls throughout the property had scratches, dents, stains, chips. Overall, the property seems to have undergone renovations, but the work felt incomplete or poorly finished. With more attention to maintenance, privacy, and general upkeep, it could be a much better experience.”airbnb

“NO AIR CONDITIONING - It was 82*F when we got into the condo. The traffic at the busy street was louder than the river. The condo hasn’t been updated since the 1990s and it shows. It was weird that the loft was blocked off with a closed chain sign.”airbnb

“The area this stay was at was pretty good , we are around many places and not too far from the town to the stores . However house was not the cleanest when getting there and No air conditioning so I do not recommend this house for summer stays. Fans were accessible but they were not much help especially in the higher level rooms”airbnb

“We booked this property for our vacation, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The property did not fully meet our expectations. It was very hot with no air conditioning, the fan was dusty, the balcony screen was damaged, and essential toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and other basic amenities were missing.”airbnb

“When I arrived at the property, it was late at night so I didn’t have time to really look around. I just got myself and my family ready for bed. The house smelled strongly of cleaning products which I thought seemed strange. It was a very powerful smell. By the morning time, the cleaning product smell had worn off and instead it smelled strongly of dog urine. When I looked at the living room furniture I saw that it was covered in stains. I had no cell service so I was unable to report the problem to the management company. I kept the windows open to try to deal with the smell, but it was quite unpleasant. I would not recommend staying at this property until the host replaces the carpet and the furniture. I am quite upset that I paid $400 per night to stay in a home that smelled of urine.”airbnb

“The pillows are too smelly and the blankets are too old to use them comfortably. With a nice setting with elegant decorations inside the bed rooms but the owner didn't supply some vital daily supplies in the bathroom like shampoos and conditioners which are not costly. We meaasaged the owner who replied not in a courtesy way. When we told the owner that we had all the basic needs in other rentals and supplisingly, the owner said that the supplies we used were the products left by the previous tenants. We are super upset with the poor customer service and unpleasant manners. A negayive feedback was given instead of a positive comfording words. Because of this, it's not worthy for our recommendations and/or referrals to our friends and relatives. Q”airbnb

“Good place for a ski base. Too far to walk in ski boots to the chairs, but there's plenty of options. No shampoo / shower gel, must get it yourself.”airbnb

“1. Parking: The original listing does mention this property is allocated 2 street parking spots BUT once booked it was not on the “my trips” page or in any of the messaging from property management about this limit. Our group had people traveling from all over the country - we had 4 cars. After the first night, we were threatened with a $1,500 fine if we didn’t move the cars. One afternoon, we were just transferring gear so we could comply with the 2-car rule and we got a message within 5 mins threatening eviction. This rule needs to be made much more clear. 2. The property states that it can sleep up to 8 people, but that feels generous as beds are shoved into every corner; very limited privacy 3. Locks on the bathroom/bedroom doors were not functional 4. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher and all appliances appear to be very old 5. The listing does mention this, but no shampoo, body wash, or conditioner are provided. For the price ($5,000 for 4 nights) this should be provided”airbnb

“This 2BR, 2BA condo is located literally across the street from Palisades ski resort, so the location for a ski weekend couldn't be better. The place was clean and reasonably well equipped. I'll admit that for this kind of money, I was disappointed to be told that bath products wouldn't be provided, and there was no coffee. Really?”airbnb

“Does not look like the pictures from the listing. Everything is very old and run down - stained/dirty carpets, door is hard to open and close, uncomfortable chairs, sunken in sofa. There were some bug droppings on the inside of the cabinets. The only good thing was proximity to the mountain. They claim discounted lift tickets (not true - it’s cheaper to get a 2 day pass directly from the resort). On top of all of that, there was a whole checklist of chores to do before check out”airbnb
