“We had a great time staying here for the weekend. The kitchen is fully stocked, the living area comfortably fit all 7 of us, and the three bathrooms were really nice to have for a group of our size. Absolutely stunning views and the location is super easy to get to. Parking here is easy in the large driveway. Unfortunately the bed in the primary bedroom was broken upon our arrival (it looks like there was a previous attempt to fix it, but it should have just been replaced) and all of the mattresses were hard and not comfortable.”

“The house was not clean, dust on wooden frames, spider web from the sealing/roof. The Barbeque machine wasn’t cleaned. The bathroom door was not working. The chair in patio was full of dust.”

“Great stay for our group and over all clean. wish check in and check out times were better if the house is available you shouldn’t have to pay to check in an hour early.”

“Beautiful home, comfortable beds, great amenities nearby! We took advantage of the hot tub, private beach & pickleball courts! Unfortunately the pool which we were excited for was drained and we were not informed before hand but that did not change how much we loved this place!”

“The house was fine, but Tahoe Getaways was not a good host. We were there under difficult circumstances (power outage) and would have appreciated some understanding & assistance from Tahoe Getaways, but didn't get much. The whole town of Homewood had been without power for more than 10 hours before our arrival time, but we had no forewarning from our host. (We could've postponed our arrival.) When we arrived at the house at 4pm, the temperature inside the house was 51 degrees and falling, with a night-time forecast in the 20s. When we called the host, they said the power was expected back on by 9pm. We asked what their refund policy was if the power was still out at 9pm. All they would say was "You can apply for a refund after the end of your stay; there are no guidelines regarding power outages, all requests are considered on a case-by-case basis." The town’s power came back on around 3am. The host did not bother to notify us that the power was back on. Not a good experience.”

“Clean and well-appointed. The cost of using the TD amenities was quite high, so we don’t use them, but there is plenty to do in the area. It was a bit odd that such a nice/expensive/high-end place would scrimp stocking toilet paper that was below porta-potty grade, but other than that, everything was very nice.”

“If family leaves because phone representative gave misinformation- a partial refund should definitely be given. This house is NOT near hot tub/ game room. We would’ve rented a totally different house if they had told us the truth as we brought 4 kids with us.”

“Everything about the place was great. It’s just that they advertised a hot tub which broke during their pre-check-in walk through. They promised someone will come to fix it the next day, but no one came. When we confronted them about it, we got ghosted.”

“We booked at 10 am day of checkin. the host called to confirm and assured us roads would be clear by noon. weather got worse and every highway in was closed we tried for 6 hours to reach the rental. I notified the host when we gave up and got a hotel as close as possible. I asked for a refund since we had only booked 8 hours prior. they said they had prepared the rental and cleared snow so NO. I offered to cover cost of preparation and snow plowing. they said NO. I explained there was no safe way for us to get there, I asked if they would be willing to offer an extra day at the end of our stat, they said yes they would give us 100 off an extra night( at 850 a night). I will never book with Tahoe Getaways again, even though they offered a discount on a future stay. Despite my many attempts at a reasonable resolution I had to pay $850 for a cabin no one could get to. But hey they cleared the driveway so I guess they think that is worth it. Also trash from previous guest was still there.”

“pros: Decent location, comfortable home, nice amenities, hot tub was clean. cons: communication was a bit slow. was told several times that they texted me the code to the lock box, but nothing ever came through. we killed lots of termites.”
