Sweetgrass Properties

Sweetgrass Properties's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The condo itself was great, but this was our first time renting through sweetgrass and we were a bit underwhelmed. There was a $75 early check-in fee (2pm vs 4pm) and the unit was sparse in terms of kitchen items, toiletries and paper products.

Stay was excellent. Great location with beautiful surroundings. Very clean . Only minor cons were supply of daily disposables, such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags , and dishwasher tablets . Feel that for the cost of this air b n b , sufficient toilet paper , garbage bags and dishwasher tablets etc should be available. Also don’t feel stripping the beds and emptying every spec of garbage out in to the trash cans should be a mandatory part of guest checkout.

Beautiful house and great location. Cleanliness and bugs were an issue. Discussed with the host but was disappointed in their responses.

The spaces were nice and adequate bedrooms and baths. This home needs a lot of maintenance. The powder room toilet runs. The wall in that room has been repaired but not painted. Light bulbs were out, towel hooks in bathroom falling off wall. Big urine stain in bunk room. Kitchen cabs paint chipped everywhere. Ice/water in frig door only works sometimes. Rug corners have visible tape on corners. Screen porch furniture covered with pollen. Deck and pool filthy. Poop on deck. Pool person came the day before we left. Cushions outside molded. Garage door on left needs maintenance. Overall very disappointing and embarrassed to have company over . Would not recommend this home.

First things first, this Airbnb is at the top of three flights of stairs with a fourth staircase to get to the master bedroom. The listing says it’s 30 steps but it does not clearly say how many stairs there are. The beds were comfy and the furniture was nice and the location is great. It is located on the Wild Dunes resort which was a shock, not bad but unexpected. It is a nice condo and very pretty to stay at but it is starting to become run down. The bathrooms have not been remodeled since the 90’s so some tiles are broken and coming off and grouting are not up to par. There is no lighting to speak of in the living room. Lamps were broken and wouldn’t turn on. The remote was broken and would only turn on the tv and nothing else. There was no hand soap anywhere in the property which should be included no matter how “minimal” you are trying to be. And telling people minimal supplies are provided is just unprofessional especially for being located on a resort.

The location of the house was great. Plenty of room in the home, separate bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a group of 8 worked out well. Problem was those bathrooms did not have hot water for all 4 days. We realized there was a problem with the hot water the night we checked in when we couldn’t wash dishes. We let management know the next morning, they sent someone out, he “reset” the water heater, didn’t fix it. We let them know again the next morning, the same maintenance man came, said we were right and he needed approval to get a plumber out, that never happened. Management blamed us for showing too much, we weren’t able to take even 1. The pool was filthy, stains on a lot of furniture, missing smoke detectors, you can’t open the accordion doors in the pictures. The house is not well maintained. I can understand and overlook a lot, but the no hot water for 4 days out our whole group on edge.

Great house. Great location. Loved all the sitting areas and it was so close to the beach. Beds were comfy. And was decorated nicely. Big table and the patio was nice too. The Pimary suite shower area was a little odd with a humongous window right next to you with no way to cover it. Guess we gave the neighbors a show??? Also, I am aware that you can rent beach gear however there were no beach towels either. So to rent beach chairs and towels you might as well go buy them at the grocery store, it’s the same price but unfortunately you can’t take them back on a plane. So that was definitely a disappointment. It was very expensive. Also hot tub looked a little like you might get a rash with algae stringing from the filters. So we were unable to use it. That was one of the selling points for us. I would still recommend this house overall, it would have been so much better with chairs and towels T the beach!

We enjoyed our time here at 181 Marsh Hawk Ln! The house is lovely and updated and on a quiet street. The views are awesome looking out at the marsh. The neighborhood is great for walking/biking and the kids liked the nearby ponds to spot alligators in. A few things to note though- 1) The driveway is tight! There are retaining walls on either side making it really hard to pull in and back out. We had vans- Sienna and Pacifica but I wouldn’t want to bring anything larger. They will ticket you if parked on the street. 2) If you will be bringing a pet be aware that while a $300 pet fee is listed, it is not included in the total at booking and is requested separately after confirmation. So no, prices do not include all fees. 3) There was a glass cabinet showcasing several bottles of alcohol that was “locked” with a zip-tie. This felt like an odd setup for a guest space.

It was an extremely unpleasant experience. The televisions were broken for the first 72 hours. On our third day, a realtor and several individuals arrived for an open house, knocking on our door at least 15 times with balloons without any prior notice. Subsequently, a man knocked on our door, identifying himself as the new owner of the villa. He requested that we leave and proceed to the pool so that he could conduct an inspection of the villa, which was necessary for the completion of the sale. The realtor failed to communicate with us, leaving us unaware of the extent of the invasion of our privacy. Seabrook is a wonderful destination, but this particular villa should not have been listed on Airbnb. The constant presence of strangers entering and exiting the villa throughout our stay was a significant concern, as it was due to the lack of communication between the realtor and Sweetgrass. In light of these circumstances, I believe we should have received a substantial refund.

Worn out beds, half rolls of toilet paper and paper towels, 3 trash bags, pans that have the Teflon worn off, things just thrown in cupboards, fingernails laying on the floor
