4.60Visit website
Stars Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.60 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The stay was okay overall but unfortunately there were a few maintenance issues that affected our experience. The hot water did not work in one of the bedrooms which was disappointing, especially because I noticed a previous guest had mentioned experiencing the same issue. It was concerning to see that the problem apparently had not been resolved. There was also an issue with one of the upstairs toilets. It appeared to be clogged, and there was no plunger available in the home so we had to use a different bathroom instead. I chose not to report this issue during the stay because the previous hot water issue had apparently already been ongoing without being corrected. Overall, the home was okay, but these maintenance concerns made the stay less comfortable than expected. I hope the host is able to address these problems for future guests.”airbnb

“The house was nice of course, the ads sure did show what to expect and we came in with high hopes for a birthday trip. Unfortunately, the ads didn’t exactly live up to expectations. For starters, when we walked in, the AC was busted, so it was hot upon walking in. One of the rooms showed two bunk beds and a TV, the room had one bunk and one big bed leaving small space in said room, and the TV wasn’t even there. The lock on the bathroom door between a bedroom and the dining area was broken, so with 10 people it was an awkward and risky situation. The master bedroom was fine, the bathroom in it of course beautiful but the toilet and the space where it was was too small, the roll of paper was dang near touching the knees. And finally, the excessive rules in the place. Of course nothing wrong with keeping the place clean and orderly but some of the rules were just plain silly. Being a gated community is an important detail to mention in the ads. Wouldn’t be our first option to stay again.”airbnb

“We stayed here while coaching at AAU Volleyball Nationals and rented a 5-bedroom townhome for out 5 coaches. The listing looked clean and well maintained, but that wasn't our experience. We found bedbugs in 2 of the 5 bedrooms and immediately notified the owners. They sent a pest control technician, who confirmed the bedbugs, and we had to move. The first replacement was a 12-bedroom home (for our 5 people) over 45 minutes away, which wasn't practical without a rental car. They then moved us to another 12-bedroom home (again unnecessary) in the same complex we were in. Unfortunately, it also had issues. We found ants in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and even in clean towels. There was also snack food left on the upstairs carpet when we arrived. While the owners responded quickly, both properties had significant pest and cleanliness problems. I cannot recommend staying here. Their cleaning services are not good and I would not consider this company for rentals.”airbnb

“Communication was responsive and the place appeared clean. Issues arrised when there was a severe water leak from the spare bathroom upstairs into the kitchen below. This was a known issues in the unit which we found out later on by reading previous reviews. Wish we read more of the reviews before renting. We had to find another AirBNB last minute which put a wrench in our trip. We had to escalate with AirBNB to get refunded as the host was unwilling to refund our money. The unit was hot and there were no fans in the bedrooms. Bare minimum supplies compared to other AirBNB so be prepared to buy most everything you need. No spices, extra towels, dishwashing detergent/soap, etc. Beds were uncomfortable. The development was a decent way back off of main roads. There are definitely better choices if visting the Orlando area. Keep looking.”airbnb

“It is a good fun beautiful place. Only downside was lots of cabinets feel like they are about to break. In fact one did break on us when we open it. The Rapunzel closet had left over food inside it in the drawer that my toddler almost ate. The blue kid couch had… white stains on it that weren’t clean. And we had a chair break on us due to a missing screw. The Toy Story room was missing a climbing wall piece. It was nice the pool was great but would love to have had a skimmer to clean it a bit. The beds and pillows are super hard so definitely recommend brining your own pillow. Over all wasn’t bad but I feel like some things could have been taken better care of. I also feel that when door code was changed it should be communicated, we had no idea of the change and couldn’t get in for 30-45 minutes.”airbnb

“DO NOT BOOK - the house was infested with bedbugs. Left me & my family of 18 stranded looking for a new place stay for the week. The host was extremely rude on the phone when we told them about the bedbugs and a few of the kids were bitten. After reaching out to Airbnb support, they cancelled the reservation. Instead of being helpful in this situation, called the police and lied saying we were never to enter. Even though this is a gated community and you cannot enter without a confirmed reservation. We later found out this company(Stars Vacation Homes) has endless bad reviews on google and their website, along with social media, all mentioning bug infestations roaches and bedbugs. To me this means they were aware of this situation and still allowed us to book and come stay here. Even though this was booked a month in advance, we still entered a horrible situation and the host absolutely did not handle us properly. DO NOT BOOK STARS VACATION HOMES THEY HAVE BEDBUGS!!!”airbnb

“1. Parking entrance was over secured, nobody was helping other than discussing with each other, sent us to the office and they said we have oversized vehicle and will cost ~$260, upon requesting the manager review, they found out the vehicle is a van and doesn’t require special parking permit, so luckily I didn’t have to pay (Should have been recognized at the entrance). Always a long queue to enter because of slow barcode readerwhich will take at least 15 minutes to enter back to the place. 2. 1st day we had a snake in pool, probably very common in there but not common for guests, laundry door was broken, sent pictures but no action taken for fixing it. It was about to fall on TV when we entered and were checking everything is in good shape. 3. Darker in pool area which should be nicely decorated with lights and all which didn’t let us to use pool in night time. 4. You can buy food & eat in the common pool area, but you can’t take homemade food with you regardless of religious reason.”airbnb

“DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THERE WAS BEDBUGS IN THE AIRBNB AND WHEN I REPORTED IT TO THE OWNERS, THEY SENT OUT ONE SINGLE PERSON WHO DIDN’T SPEAK ENGLISH! THEY THEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND BECAUSE OF THE INCONVENIENCE THEN AFTER I SAID I WAS GOING TO RELOCATE, THEY RUSHED ME OUT OF THE BNB. OVERALL I HAD TO SPEND MORE MONEY! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE!”airbnb

“Most frustrating Airbnb experience. Gate access was an issue everyday and I was given incorrect instructions and everyone I talked to assured me daily it had been corrected. It had not. I spent more time on this ridiculous problem than you can imagine. Ruined the experience.”airbnb

“All of the toilets had a black ring around the rim, there was black mold around the tub overflow valve and shower door. The carpet was stained and visibly soiled along with all of the throw rugs. There were hand prints all over the walls and the walls needed to be painted. The glasses on the bathroom sink were dirty in every bathroom and the fake plants were dusty and one bed had hair on the sheets. I do not understand why there’s a cleaning fee and obviously the company or person they use does the bare minimum. The ice and water dispenser had slime on it.”airbnb
