Stars Vacation Homes
4.61Visit website
Stars Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“It is a good fun beautiful place. Only downside was lots of cabinets feel like they are about to break. In fact one did break on us when we open it. The Rapunzel closet had left over food inside it in the drawer that my toddler almost ate. The blue kid couch had… white stains on it that weren’t clean. And we had a chair break on us due to a missing screw. The Toy Story room was missing a climbing wall piece. It was nice the pool was great but would love to have had a skimmer to clean it a bit. The beds and pillows are super hard so definitely recommend brining your own pillow. Over all wasn’t bad but I feel like some things could have been taken better care of. I also feel that when door code was changed it should be communicated, we had no idea of the change and couldn’t get in for 30-45 minutes.”airbnb

“DO NOT BOOK - the house was infested with bedbugs. Left me & my family of 18 stranded looking for a new place stay for the week. The host was extremely rude on the phone when we told them about the bedbugs and a few of the kids were bitten. After reaching out to Airbnb support, they cancelled the reservation. Instead of being helpful in this situation, called the police and lied saying we were never to enter. Even though this is a gated community and you cannot enter without a confirmed reservation. We later found out this company(Stars Vacation Homes) has endless bad reviews on google and their website, along with social media, all mentioning bug infestations roaches and bedbugs. To me this means they were aware of this situation and still allowed us to book and come stay here. Even though this was booked a month in advance, we still entered a horrible situation and the host absolutely did not handle us properly. DO NOT BOOK STARS VACATION HOMES THEY HAVE BEDBUGS!!!”airbnb

“1. Parking entrance was over secured, nobody was helping other than discussing with each other, sent us to the office and they said we have oversized vehicle and will cost ~$260, upon requesting the manager review, they found out the vehicle is a van and doesn’t require special parking permit, so luckily I didn’t have to pay (Should have been recognized at the entrance). Always a long queue to enter because of slow barcode readerwhich will take at least 15 minutes to enter back to the place. 2. 1st day we had a snake in pool, probably very common in there but not common for guests, laundry door was broken, sent pictures but no action taken for fixing it. It was about to fall on TV when we entered and were checking everything is in good shape. 3. Darker in pool area which should be nicely decorated with lights and all which didn’t let us to use pool in night time. 4. You can buy food & eat in the common pool area, but you can’t take homemade food with you regardless of religious reason.”airbnb

“DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THERE WAS BEDBUGS IN THE AIRBNB AND WHEN I REPORTED IT TO THE OWNERS, THEY SENT OUT ONE SINGLE PERSON WHO DIDN’T SPEAK ENGLISH! THEY THEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND BECAUSE OF THE INCONVENIENCE THEN AFTER I SAID I WAS GOING TO RELOCATE, THEY RUSHED ME OUT OF THE BNB. OVERALL I HAD TO SPEND MORE MONEY! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE!”airbnb

“Most frustrating Airbnb experience. Gate access was an issue everyday and I was given incorrect instructions and everyone I talked to assured me daily it had been corrected. It had not. I spent more time on this ridiculous problem than you can imagine. Ruined the experience.”airbnb

“All of the toilets had a black ring around the rim, there was black mold around the tub overflow valve and shower door. The carpet was stained and visibly soiled along with all of the throw rugs. There were hand prints all over the walls and the walls needed to be painted. The glasses on the bathroom sink were dirty in every bathroom and the fake plants were dusty and one bed had hair on the sheets. I do not understand why there’s a cleaning fee and obviously the company or person they use does the bare minimum. The ice and water dispenser had slime on it.”airbnb

“They needed to provide more equipment like pots and stuff. One of the stair steps was coming off. They didn’t provide rags for washing. Just little things that could of been better”airbnb

“Our stay was disappointing due to several unresolved issues. The toilets were not functioning properly, with water continuously running. The pool pump operated 24/7 and produced loud noise throughout the night. All liquid soaps, including dish soap, were watered down. Basic necessities such as salt and pepper were not provided, and when we requested them, we were told they could not accommodate the request. Dishwasher and laundry detergent tablets were also strictly limited to 1 tablet per appliance. We traveled to Orlando for work, not vacation, and did not expect to spend additional time and money sourcing basic household items that are typically standard in an Airbnb. It is concerning that a “hospitality group” would overlook such fundamentals of guest experience. The property combined the inconveniences of a hotel with none of the benefits of a standard Airbnb. Due to our work schedule, we were unable to relocate, but for the price paid, this stay was definitely not worth it.”airbnb

“I told host I would like to pay for heated pool but was still denied the opportunity to have heated pool. The wifi didn’t work until the last night before my check out which caused me to miss important meetings. The furniture was old and outdated. Some of the furniture was broken I guess from previous renters but they should have checked to make sure before they allowed you to check in. Beautiful property and location they just need to grade up something’s.”airbnb
