Smith Lake Rentals
4.65Visit website
Smith Lake Rentals's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Problems with pest, live and dead bugs in pots, pans and dishes. The landscape has over taken the paths and home. The paths have mold and mildew that are dangerous to navigate after rain. Two guest slipped and fell before they got to the ramp for the deck. The stater amenities for bathroom toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags is too limited for the size of the home and the amount of people it sleeps. I do not recommend this property in its current condition.”airbnb

“Amazing location and gorgeous views of the lake! Spacious home with perfect layout for large groups/families to spread out! Great deck with seating for games/dinner! Kitchen island is updated and has ample space! A/C works very well! Wonderful having access to private dock and jet ski ramps. Home could use some TLC. Everything is worn-sofa cover and pillows with several holes. Cob webs all over, could use fresh paint, better labeling for light/fan usage, maintenance of landscaping-which was taking over walkways in some areas. Kitchen not well organized- for example, one cabinet is filled with tons of tupperware lids and no container bottoms. Cluttered cabinets and closets with odds and ends. Coffee station was dirty and not wiped down/cleaned, however the new Keurig was a plus! Cleaners ran late and floors were wet throughout and not actually clean-they did not ask our name-just handed us the key! Downstairs door does not lock. With a little love, this home could be FABULOUS!!!”airbnb

“We thoroughly enjoyed the covered back deck and views of the lake. Kids had a blast on the rented jet skis and jumping off the high diving board on the dock. The kitchen was well stocked. The downstairs could have been a little cleaner, but it did not affect our overall time of enjoying the lake.”airbnb

“The home is very cozy. There is plenty of room to move around. The table only seats 6.. the home will hold 10 comfortably. The dock as of 7/19 is not two levels so the kids and husband were extremely disappointed. The briar vines on each side of the front door needed to be cut very badly. There is Virginia creeper and poison ivy growing up the poles coming up to the top deck(we have 3 in our group that are highly allergic) and a good bit of poison on the stairs going down to the lake.. The dock doesn’t have lights or lights going down to the dock. The kitchen does have all you need, the water gets hot super fast, the beds are comfy, and the lake is amazing😊”airbnb

“The home is large with plenty of room to spread out. We found many useful items in the kitchen to cook. Location of home is close to stores. We enjoyed swimming in the deep waters at the dock. And the washer machine worked great! Unfortunately the home was not fully clean. Both couches had muddy foot tracks from animal/ children. The freezer had hair and melted yuck all along the bottom. Bunk room sheets were not cleaned, lots of hair once pulled back the comforter. All the windows/ tv upstairs have greasy hand prints. The hammock outside was moldy, the swing at dock paint is peeling and paint sticks to skin. Dock/ decks need sanding and paint. All dart tips are broken/ cannot use. Bed bug spray left in mini bar cabinets. Why leave this for guest to find? We saw no bed bugs. We spent the first two hours of check in cleaning. We did reach out to property manager, were willing to send cleaners next day. This could be five stars if time was invested in cleaning and repairing.”airbnb

“Just OK. The house met all of our basic criteria, and had a beautiful view of the lake. The beds and closets are small. There is only one Keurig and no other coffee machine. A single roll of toilet paper was provided in each bathroom, which was inadequate for a group of 10 adults over a 5 night stay. The temperature of the house was 79 degrees when we arrived and was on an automatic timer to reset to 78 degrees everyday so we had to constantly adjust the temp. The host did not always respond to our messages and overall did not make us feel welcome or show great hospitality.”airbnb
