Sea Scape Properties

Sea Scape Properties's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Location was great but that was about it unfortunately. I would stay at the Waterway again but not this unit. It smelled like weed the entire time and we had a 3 month old baby with us which the host was aware of. The furniture and rug could really use a deep clean and there was blood stains on a pillow case. When checking under the bed to make sure we got everything there was also trash left over from the previous guests including a pill. Overall just not a great place to stay.

Our stay was July 5th-July 12. The best part about the whole unit is the view. That’s what we wanted so we paid $7,000 for a 7 night stay, I won’t do it again for this host. The indoor pool is nice. Outdoor pools are not been properly maintained nor kept clean throughout the day. At check in, smart lock didn’t work. Had to use the E key to get in. Spoke to the Host, they said for me to reach out to them in the morning to get it fixed, I’m on vacation. Do your job and take care of it. Fridge took 24hrs to reach temp setting, so don’t bring food with you and expect it to be kept cold right away. The MBath is cramped. Both beachside decks had trash left on them and one had ketchup or blood stains on the table. Wear shoes on the decks to prevent splinters since the wood hasn’t been maintained. Check the dishes provided to ensure they’re actually clean. Stairwell walls are dirty. Carpet stain in kids room. Spoke with neighbor unit, we paid double for practically the same unit. DoBetter

Coordinated a multi family vacation with multiple air bnb’s which is partly why their approach to rentals is so cool. This property had everything you want for two couples, upstairs sleeping. Open kitchen and living spaces. Decks overlooking the beach up close upstairs and off the main downstairs living room. Furniture was comfortable and descent. Carpeted stairs and bedrooms. Outdoor closet for beach chairs and a nice water hose and sprayer for cleaning beach gear. Location is immediately on the beach with direct access to path over dunes. So I would give this a 5 star for everything. Except. The screen less house had a 100% broken central AC causing the entire property rendered a cauldron, >90F inside.Clearly this important machine had not been maintained. We immediately reported and got some small portable units for the bedrooms which made the whole thing bearable during the night. But we did not get what we paid for and felt totally ripped off. Owners offered $200 compensation.

I really liked how it was close to the beach, with an easy walk. The property itself was very nice. However, It did have a little bit of an odor when walking inside. There was not enough towels provided for the people staying. The host hosted eventually bring some, but not until 4 PM on the second day. The pool had cloudy, murky water.

I do not recommend this place. There is no gas for the grill, the interior is dirty, and the kitchen lacks sufficient utensils. They are absolutely unhelpful.

Place is across the street to Wrightsville Beach and staff seems to be doing a good job (Tracey was super nice to us) but this is a terribly overpriced spot for the age/condition of the building. There was quarter inch gap in the unit door which lets heat and insects inside. Worse, there was an intense weed smell kept coming in from the AC unit for the entire Friday night that our infant had to be exposed to, it was horrible. I guess the AC system of the building does not filter anything. There was also smoking in several patios over the weekend. They message guests several times to charge for early check-in and late check-out and the door code expires at 10 am, which is something even big hotel chains do not do any more. You can find much better places for this price just a couple of blocks away.

We notified the owner that the AC did not work. They suggested that I make some adjustments to the thermostat, which I did and it still didn't work. Instead of sending someone to fix it I was told to wait, maybe it would start working overnight. It did not, we were hot and miserable. I notified management at 7 am and was told that someone would come. I asked to change units if the AC couldn't be fixed. No one ever came, and I was not offered a different unit. Two nights hot and miserable. It is a first floor unit facing a parking lot so opening the windows was not even an option. I complained and requested a partial refund. I was offered $46. It is a shame, overall we liked the unit. But will not return.

Very poor customer service. Pool wasn’t heated as we paid to have done. Hot tub was dirty. Batteries missing in almost all the remotes. Awful smell. Beds not made in two of the rooms.

Was told that they would be canceling my reservation while I was showing up to the property. As well as they said they would give a full refund due to them canceling the reservation but now are making me jump through hoops to try to get a refund

We had a good overall stay. The home was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed, which made our visit convenient and comfortable in many ways. However, we did feel a bit uncomfortable during our stay due to frequent messages from the host and the sense of being monitored through the cameras. While we understand the importance of security, the level of communication made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the space. With a bit more privacy and less frequent check-ins, this would have been a great experience.
