RRG Getaways

RRG Getaways's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Stay was okay, took away some stars because overall it was dirty, floors and bed sheets were sticky. The door pad lock wouldn’t lock back so the entire stay the door wasn’t locked when we were gone. The pictures don’t do the bathroom justice as to how small it was, I’m 5’3 and had a hard time having room just using the bathroom.

We came from Va Beach and Florida for our stay (6 adults and 4 kids under 8yrs). The listing said I should expect a text the day of check-in with the lockbox code - I did not get one. We arrived in the rain just before 4pm and after reaching out to the host for the code, I was told the previous guests accidentally took the key and we'd have to wait an hour for a copy to be made and delivered to us. Ultimately, a key was delivered within about 30 min. The house itself was tidy, but not clean. My son found 2 dead cockroaches on the living room floor and a live one the second day. Dust and grime on the window sills and under furniture, which I only discovered because our little kids play on the floor. Patio chairs were filthy. We were really disappointed in the kitchen. For a property in a remote area, advertised to accommodate 10 guests, we couldn't even prepare a spaghetti dinner. There was no large skillet or even a stockpot to boil water for pasta. No coffee filters.

It looked like the pictures and it was beautiful and we loved the peace and quiet and it was easy to find and clean , but plans didn’t go as planned and we got dismissed of our concerns and worries and we ended up leaving early cause we didn’t feel safe we paid for 2 nights and we only stayed one night , and they refused to give a refund for the night we didn’t stay

The house is beautiful and in a great central location for exploring the Red River Gorge. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the deck overlooking the pond. That said, the supplies were quite limited. With six guests staying for a week, we quickly ran out of basics like toilet paper and paper towels, and the kitchen was sparsely stocked, with very few cooking or food storage items. We also accidentally broke the coffee carafe during our stay and notified the owner right away, offering to cover the cost. However, the amount charged was higher than the cost of replacing the entire (even upgraded) coffee maker, which was disappointing. Overall, it’s a lovely property, but improved supply stocking and clearer, more reasonable replacement pricing would make the experience even better.

Beware: The advertised 'EV charging' is just a standard 110v outlet 20+ feet from the driveway. Using extension cords for EV charging is a fire hazard and standard mobile cables won't reach. The host admitted the listing was misleading and the promised charging cable was MIA but refused a refund for the nights I couldn't stay. If you drive an EV, this property lacks the necessary infrastructure. They were quick to offer early check in for an additional $50 though! There are better Airbnb locations all throughout the region. Stay elsewhere

looked like we would be secluded but the whole street had houses ever 100 yards. was more like a neighborhood than cabin in the woods. asked to check in earlier than 4pm was told we would have to pay more per hour. the house was completely empty night before. greedy corporation only cared about profit not my convenience. yes im awear they are a business but just not mine anymore.

We really wanted to love this place, but we unfortunately had a lot of mishaps. Arrived later in the day and it was dark, but we were still able to find the place easily. We immediately got into the hot tub. The following day, we went to get in again & the tub was DISGUSTING. There was a ring of orange mildew, wiped it off & tried again the following day - it was back. The water was murky & only 2 of the jets worked. We had a pet emergency about a day before we were supposed to check in & they didn’t offer any sort of refund outside of the standard $100 dollars or whatever it was if we had to cancel. Which I understand is policy - but if we had an emergency I feel like there should be some grace. Our water heater went out on the second to last day, so we couldn’t shower & they had us climbing on a platform to try and see an error code for the maintenance guy at dark (huge liability if we fell or broke something) We also had mice poop on our dogs food bowls on the last morning.

We enjoyed our stay! Very relaxing and peaceful. There were a couple kitchen items missing from what was in the description but we came prepared. Service is not great so TV wouldn’t connect to streaming services. We were able to screen share from our phones though so we were still able to stream. Hot tub was definitely a fun time!

The house was clean and nice. Beautiful views. We did all come prepared with 4x4 vehicles and getting to the property was not the problem. Unfortunately, there was zero maintenance done to the pathway down the hill into the cabin and multiple of us fell sliding down the hill. We came prepared for the weather but it was an expensive reservation to feel like there was no preparation for guests to make it inside safely. The steps were covered in thick ice as well. There was a propane delivery and the driver got stuck, sliding down the hill, inches from our car. Luckily we had straps, and pulled the driver off the hill and out. The thermostat is upstairs where it’s toasty but unfortunately our friends staying downstairs couldn’t stay comfortably. It was 25-30 degrees colder downstairs and we couldn’t hang out at the bar area. Our friend’s swim trunks froze solid downstairs trying to dry. Overall, beautiful house but a lot of frustrations with our stay.
