RRG Getaways

RRG Getaways's guest rating of 4.77 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

I’ve stayed at many cabins so I’m aware there are certain things that can’t be helped, such as random critters occasionally and discolored water. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired and is something that can be controlled. Especially given the price. The shower was clearly not cleaned in-between stays. There was hair on both walls and visible mold all along the tiles. Mold is a health hazard and it’s pretty unacceptable that it is being left like this. There were other areas lacking cleanliness as well. The fridge had mold starting to stain the door seams and there were little bugs in one of the produce drawers. Outside, it doesn’t look like the chairs for the campfire have been cleaned off in a long time. There was also a very noticeable muggy moldy smell in the place. The stairs leading up badly need more gravel. I feel like it needs an extreme deep clean and maintenance before continuing to rent out. Great location, minus the loud roads within sight. Beds were comfy.

The cabin was nice, good location, fantastic view out the back. Kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was excellent! The fourth bedroom was actually just a loft game room with a loveseat sleeper sofa—absolutely is not a fourth bedroom and should not be stated as such. There are no dressers in the bedrooms, which is inconvenient. We were left with very few towels, just a single hand towel per couple for a three day stay. The shampoo and other amenities were sparse as well. Luckily, our fourth couple had to cancel the trip or we would’ve had a real problem trying to comfortably and privately sleep four adult couples in this space. This place has lots of potential, but the host really need to step up the amenities side of things, plus be honest about the actual in their listing.

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. Beautiful home that was well stocked and well decorated, although heavy on the religious paraphernalia. Hot tub was amazing, basement area was perfect for playing games, rooms were exactly as described and quite spacious, lovely bathrooms. The only issue we have with this house is the deceptive photos pertaining to the lake access and dock. We read in the listing that the lake access was two lots down which was not a problem however the photo for the stairs was extremely misleading and the path to the lake was very unpleasant. The path was completely overgrown and covered in spiderwebs every single day, not to mention extremely muddy and gross. The stairs were extremely steep and the entire bottom section is wobbly and unstable. The dock looks nothing like the photo and is smashed against the shore and even sinking on one section. This felt very misleading and considering the lake was the main appeal a partial refund should be in order.

The house and the area are very pretty. It was mostly peaceful except. for the loud construction down the road and the neighbors arguing late. The description say no 4 wheel drive needed and there are photos of a driveway in front of a porch. Well what they neglect to mention is that you can not use the driveway unless you have 4 wheel drive. There is even a sign. So you have to carry everything down a steep unlevel gravel incline about 50 feet. Well my wife is on oxygen and has limited mobility. She was extremely upset by this surprise. After we got her to the cabin safely, she was unable to leave and go do any activities with us because of having to hike up & down this hill safely for her was very difficult. Now it did not say it was handicap friendly, but the pictures made it out to be. Only 1 step up from the driveway, every place she would need to be on the first floor. If we would have known what she would have to do to get into the cabin, we would not have booked this unit.

Not bad once the trailer park neighbor stops raving his pickup. It’s smaller than pictured. Back door doesn’t lock, had to remove a wasp nest above the hot tub after getting in it. Went to turn on the deck fire pit and 4 wasps dropped onto my hand, almost stung multiple times. Had to kill 20 wasps and get rid of the huge nest… fire pit propane was empty and there was no replacement tank of that size. There was a weird while powder on the floor next to the soaking tub. It wasn’t bad but honest pictures, description and basic maintenance would help. It’s on an unusual location, when following the directions we were sent, I asked to verify the address, the host argued for an hour while we were driving about reading the email vs just verifying the address. I hope this is an off situation and not how everyone is treated. The house isn’t bad but is definitely tiny. It served it purpose as we weren’t spending much time there.

I was blamed for breaking things I did not touch. They tried charging cleaning fee for unloading a dish washer and regular cleaning.

Given the price of this rental, we would have expected the pests and cleanliness issues to have already been addressed.

the cabin was very nice. but the fridge was soooo dirty on the outside, and didn't keep things cold. Need to invest in a new fridge. Minimal eating utensils, and no frying pan. I understand people take these things, but it ruins it for the people that don't. They should take inventory before and after their guests stay. It's ashame you would have to do this

Beware: The advertised 'EV charging' is just a standard 110v outlet 20+ feet from the driveway. Using extension cords for EV charging is a fire hazard and standard mobile cables won't reach. The host admitted the listing was misleading and the promised charging cable was MIA but refused a refund for the nights I couldn't stay. If you drive an EV, this property lacks the necessary infrastructure. They were quick to offer early check in for an additional $50 though! There are better Airbnb locations all throughout the region. Stay elsewhere
