Rent Door County's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Place as described with photos matching. Had a great stay right by the beach. Place has an EV charger that was a pleasant surprise as I did not see it in the description before booking - so that is convenient for those with EVs. Not sure how hot water is heated but generally seemed like there was low amount it took only 1 person to take a quick shower for all hot water to be gone, so anyone else needs to wait for it to heat up. Would definitely stay again.”airbnb

“The Kangaroo Lake area is our favorite place to stay in Door County. This is our first time staying at this lovely home, and it exceeded our expectations! It was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee, and the quiet street allowed for after-dinner walks. We can't wait to come back!”airbnb

“The home was in a very quiet location on North Bay and only 10 ~ 15 min's to Sister Bay, Ephraim and Baileys Harbor. The accommodations were well equipped with grill, fit pit, kayak/canoe and well stocked. Seating and Sleeping for 6 to 8, although a little crowded for my taste. Overall a very nice stay and will be considered again in future.”airbnb

“Two different lock box codes were given in the check-in instructions and messages from the host. Mattresses on beds and sofa sleepers were uncomfortable. Bathroom shower tile was coming loose on the floor. Upstairs bedroom had poor ventilation and was very hot. Beach was not as large as pictures made it seem. Beautiful location and lots of space. Yard games and firewood provided was very nice.”airbnb

“Great location, kitchen, living space and yard. Found the hospitality somewhat challenging - beds are not fully made, you need to do sheets yourself; towels need to be washed and dried prior to leaving at checkout; no shampoo, body wash etc; only one shower has a door. Yard is not fully fenced as an FYI and there are chips in the tile floor that can be challenging for families. Good location but for the price these are concerns I’d rather not have.”airbnb

“Door County is a nice area. The house is well located with a very nice outside space and the interior is beautiful architecturally. The large sofa was attractive but very uncomfortable to sit on. The upstairs bedroom ceiling fan did not work. There is ample drawer space but no guest closet space in the upstairs bedroom. The front door latch came apart upon returning one evening requiring us to "break in" (it was reassembled by a locksmith the following morning). This is the only rental at which we have been required to launder the towels. Bring coffee with you as there is no starter supply. The property management office closes at 4 PM -- the same time as check in -- so any issues upon arrival will have to be handled by the emergency service. All in all, not a terrible rental experience but certainly not our best.”airbnb

“I loved the shoreline availability and that a grill and fire pit were on the property for guest use. Only wish they allowed pets, really wanted to bring my 2 older dogs with.”airbnb

“The location of the cabin was very peaceful and had beautiful surroundings. The cabin itself was just as pictured, great layout, cute, and cozy. The queen bed was decent, definitely more firm. Pillows were not great, personally. They provide one pillow per person, they do not have extra pillows, only decorative pillows. We had issues trying to log into some streaming services. They streaming services required updates which required signing into a Google acct.. The kitchen had a decent amount of cookware and spices. However they do not provide any coffee or tea. They also do not provide paper towels, and a small amount of toilet paper, nor do they provide any shampoo, or conditioner, just a small bar of body soap. The instructions they have about keys is not relevant to this rental. They make you put the flat sheet on the bed, which we found strange. The checkout requirements are a lot for the price you pay. However, the space is really nice and we enjoyed the porches and fire pit.”airbnb

“The location is great and views from the house are beautiful. The beds are comfortable. All rooms are on the 2nd floor. There was no watercraft available. The kitchen and bathrooms were not clean (very dirty dishes and pans in the cupboards and body hair, grime and stains in the tub). The septic alarm went off the first night we were there and the water smelled of sulfur terribly the whole stay. We kept drinking water and used it for all drinking, cooking and teeth brushing. There was an infestation of asian lady beetles in the kids room. The beds were not made, the top sheet was folded on top of most of the beds to be put on yourself. The top bunk bed did not have a bottom sheet on the bed either. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals in Wisconsin and never experienced this before which they say in their guest book is a suggestion from the state. We were glad we didn’t get there late at night. Hate to leave a bad review but there were too many issues to not mention them.”airbnb
