“The house and scenery were absolutely beautiful, and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, we experienced a bug issue shortly after arriving. Management responded quickly at first and said someone would come out to inspect and spray, but no one ever came. The next day, I was told the bugs were gnats, although no one had actually looked at them. We stayed two nights and left with bug bites. I reached out again after our trip for follow-up and never received a response. The property itself deserves 5 stars for the views and location, but the lack of communication and resolution was disappointing. Because of that, we would not book with Rent Branson again.”airbnb

“Facing the lake was amazing and we enjoyed the view. A few things future guests should know: • There are no curtains on the windows. The morning light is beautiful, but at night guests sitting around the shared firepit area can easily see into the unit. • The listing advertises sleeping for six and shows an air mattress in the “Where you’ll sleep” section. However, the queen air mattress requires an additional fee that is only disclosed further down in the description. We thought it was included, so keep in mind the unit effectively has two king beds and a couch unless you arrange and pay for the air mattress ahead of time. We were told one would be delivered, but it never arrived. • Because there are many units close together, odors from neighboring units can carry. During our stay, we could smell marijuana smoke and strong cooking odors from other units. Overall, the lakefront location was beautiful, but these are things I wish I had known before booking.”airbnb

“This was a terrible situation, I booked this room on Friday night and had to work from 8am to midnight the next night, during the day I received 13 emails from Airbnb and Rent Branson, along with a bunch of text messages. I wasnt notified by anything but an email that they switched the room to another location. we show up at 12:30, we drag all our stuff out of the vehicles, walk down 2 long flights of steps, and the door code dont work. I call the after hours number and the lady trys to reset the door code but cant so she gives me the lock box code to get the master key. We use it and get in, only to see someone elses stuff all over the room and kitchedn, I tell my kids to get out immediately, and tell the lady on the phone that someone is in there. when we shut the door, someone comes out in the hallway and stares at us. We could of been shot or something, thenm we haul all our stuff back to the vehicle, wait 10-15 min and then get another room, this one was dated and was not worthit”airbnb

“The property itself was well-maintained, comfortable, and generally as described. However, prospective guests should be aware that the listing’s reference to “minor construction” significantly understated the actual situation during our stay. A new home is currently being built on the property, and construction activity involved large trucks, heavy equipment, and substantial noise throughout the day. While I understand that construction projects are sometimes unavoidable, the level of activity and disruption was far beyond what most travelers would reasonably interpret as “minor construction.” I also contacted their support during our stay. I was advised that someone from customer service would follow up with me, but I never received a call. When I later reached out again, I was simply directed back to the listing disclosure. In my opinion, the description should more accurately reflect the extent of the ongoing construction so guests can make a fully informed decision.”airbnb

“We arrived at Legacy Lakeside Retreat 3 hours after check in, to only be stuck outside the rental for 30 minutes. The door code was wrong and the host wasn't answering the phone. We finally got access, to walk into a rental that had not been cleaned properly. The toilets had bodily hair and pubic hair on them. The floors had not been swept or mopped. The dishes had been put back on shelves dirty. The bed sheets in downstairs king bed had not been changed and had bloody semen and what appeared to be poop on them. They made us change unsanitary bedding. The amenities were not all in working order. The outside tv did not work. There were no ping pong balls for the ping pong table. The internet access code was not correct. Some of the towels in bathrooms were used. The rugs were not vacuumed and all stained up. Exterior door didn't lock. There was pigeon poop literally on everything on both decks! They would not let me talk to supervisor! Patronized me! Will post pics on yelp and their FB!”airbnb
