“The house was spacious and met our needs. A good location for exploring North Cascade NP. We had some issues with the washing machine and some cleaning issues. Bottom line it didn’t meet our expectations for the high summer price that we paid.”

“Disappointing. First, after approving our stay and us paying the host demanded 3rd party ID verification in violation of AirBnB rules before giving us check in instructions. The house stank, porch lights didn’t work our entire stay and the front steps are iffy in the dark, windows were open upon arrival, couldn’t get any of the tvs to work right, no towels in bathrooms, a pile of snow sleds, shovels and junk laying in the front yard, overgrown with weeds, electronic lock was broken leaving a single key to share, upstairs light switch is broken, broken faucet and shower head that sprayed everywhere out the top in bathroom upstairs. We did find towels and some bedding still wet in the dryer which was some of the smell but the basement also smells musty and moldy. None of the ping pong or foosball tables were in playable condition as well. The toothbrushes, tampons and granola bites were a nice touch but the drawer full of condoms grossed everyone out. Will not recommend or stay again.”

“The water was beautiful. But I paid $25 additional fee for early checkin anytime after 1pm. Cleaners were still there at 140pm so we couldn’t checkin til after 330pm. Outside cameras and elderly neighbor were watching my daughters sunbathe. The dock and driveway are SHARED with a man that has a lot of oyster beds in the back on the property. Cobwebs all over. No batteries in the TV remotes. Pretty outdated.”

“Beware. This is the only Airbnb that I have stayed in that has a charge after a minimum electricity usage. Also false info in listing about parking. It is only street parking if they have a parking tag. You cannot park on the street without a tag. Tag was missing when we arrived and after 3 nights still had not received it. Parking garage next block didn’t want us to park due to much theft. Host recommended parking 10 blocks away. Nice apartment when inside but if you run AC or use too much power you may end up paying. Also a nice apartment doesn’t help much if you cannot safely park around it. Once inside it was nice and modern with a nice view from top terrace. Good walking distance from the Space Needle area. AC in both bedrooms and living area. Comfortable and modern and clean.”

“Location is great and beds were super comfortable. Checking in was a pain because our lock code was incorrect due to two separate lock codes being given at the same time. Had to decipher myself what it was due to delay in response from contact number. Parking was not clear as it was described as a “designated parking spot in parking lot” when it was actually a garage out back. A lot of the dishes were dirty as well as a dishwasher that was full of moldy dishes. Toilet in bathroom was loose from the ground and rocked back and forth if you sat on it. The place is really cool and the location is amazing, but it had a lot of issues. The area was also being affected by smoke from a nearby wildfire. This isn’t the fault of the property of course, but when I messaged through Air BNB before we even landed about the state of the area, I received no response then or ever about it. Only responses through ABNB was sales trying to get extra days added on.”

“Wouldn’t recommend this house. Pictures suggest seclusion but in reality neighbors on both sides within a few feet of the house. House also feels more cramped and dated than photos suggest. No AC and very hot at night. Neighbors (you’re practically staying with them) remarked on how crazy it is that there’s no AC in the house. House reeked of weed, perhaps the neighbors or a prior guest. Property management company sends incessant messages asking you to resolve issues with them rather than leaving anything less than a 5 star review, so be aware that there aren’t likely a lot of honest reviews here but may be lots of others who had similarly mediocre experiences.”

“House is decent enough... 'Recreation Stays' is horrible to deal with. They make you upload a picture of your drivers license to a random, sketchy 3rd party website. Then they want a selfie uploaded and also your credit card. Seems overly invasive and onerous especially given the fact Airbnb already has this info. If you send them a message asking to clarify why this is needed all you get is a canned (seemingly AI-generated) response back. My next big issue with Recreation Stays came after check-out. During our stay a cheap plastic Adirondack style chair was broken. I was forthcoming about the damage and offered to pay to replace. Well, about a week later, they sent me a bill through Airbnb for $92. Mind you the chair in question was a cheap, flimsy, plastic chair available at pretty much every hardware store for $20-$25, yet they thought it reasonable to try and charge me 4.5x more than the replacement cost. Completely unreasonable, suggest you stay away from Recreation Stays.”

“The home itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. However, we specifically booked this property because it was listed as an "entire home," and we expected privacy during our stay. After checking in, we discovered that the property's lower level was occupied. Hearing a child's voice on the lower level was unexpected and initially concerning, as we were unaware that other occupants would be on-site. While there were no issues with the occupants themselves, the arrangement was not clearly communicated and did not align with our understanding of an "entire home" listing. The property was otherwise nice, but greater transparency about the layout and occupancy situation would help future guests make informed booking decisions and avoid surprise or confusion upon arrival.”

“Let me start by saying the disappointment is real. We traveled 3300 miles to visit our daughter and her family and never received any code for entry till the day we checked out. We were only waiting around for about 45 minutes to get a live person on the phone to get into the home. We were tired and not happy at this point. The next morning we discovered the coffee pot was on its last leg as the noise coming out of it was horrible like grinding the wheels inside… it did make coffee after a bit. The bathroom faucet was broken but was fixed, the shower faucet is not secured, no pots and pans with the acceptation of a really bad dented skillet and broken electric skillet. Went to use the washer but the vent for the dryer was off and so we had to go dry laundry elsewhere. It’s unbelievable to spend so much time upset about the money you spent knowing it was that aweful. Shame on you taking advantage of a people”

“The Unit has multiple false advertised amenities. The host did not respond to any maintenance requests. This was the worst experience!”
