“Good place to stay and close to the beach!”

“Home is very nice and well equipped and very clean. Would have been 5 stars except we were given wrong door code and were on call waiting outside in the rain with our luggage until the call center responded and then had to find a code that would work. The electrical outlets for the coffee machine, toaster, and kettle were not working and it took almost two days to send someone after we called and they were unable to fix it. Ended up with an extension chord.”

“Overall, the dirtiness of this Airbnb was not worth the easy access to the beach. There are several rental properties on the same block that has higher cleanliness reviews with easy, private access to the beach. Pros: 1) Host was extremely communicative and proactive during our entire stay. 2) Easy access to the beach! We loved the location. Cons: 1) Upon booking, the host sent an external link asking for my home address and birthday. After 15 years on Airbnb, I’ve never been asked for this. I declined to share it, and while the host said it was okay, the request still made me uneasy. 2) The property was poorly cleaned. The floors were sticky and dirty, and there was excessive dust and hair on the furniture, which transferred onto my children's clothing. Additionally, the bedding was stained and emitted a musty odor. The couch was stained and musty. 3) The short walk to the beach is mostly overgrown with weeds. Trimming would be nice.”

“Beware. This is the only Airbnb that I have stayed in that has a charge after a minimum electricity usage. Also false info in listing about parking. It is only street parking if they have a parking tag. You cannot park on the street without a tag. Tag was missing when we arrived and after 3 nights still had not received it. Parking garage next block didn’t want us to park due to much theft. Host recommended parking 10 blocks away. Nice apartment when inside but if you run AC or use too much power you may end up paying. Also a nice apartment doesn’t help much if you cannot safely park around it. Once inside it was nice and modern with a nice view from top terrace. Good walking distance from the Space Needle area. AC in both bedrooms and living area. Comfortable and modern and clean.”

“The home itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. However, we specifically booked this property because it was listed as an "entire home," and we expected privacy during our stay. After checking in, we discovered that the property's lower level was occupied. Hearing a child's voice on the lower level was unexpected and initially concerning, as we were unaware that other occupants would be on-site. While there were no issues with the occupants themselves, the arrangement was not clearly communicated and did not align with our understanding of an "entire home" listing. The property was otherwise nice, but greater transparency about the layout and occupancy situation would help future guests make informed booking decisions and avoid surprise or confusion upon arrival.”

“The place reeked of mold and mildew. When we left I noticed the front window has what appeared to be black mold. The microwave did not heat. The garbage disposal was broken and backed up. I was ready to leave after night 1, ended up staying 2 nights there due to timing of when we got back night 2. Cancelled night and booked our last night at with another host.”

“The house itself was beautiful, with amazing views and a perfect location. We really liked the home and it would be a 5 star rating! Unfortunately, our experience with the property management company was disappointing. We booked an “entire home,” but when we arrived, the owner informed us in the driveway that he would be staying in the basement during our stay. This was never disclosed before we arrived. When we contacted Recreation Stays, they initially told us the owner lived next door, which wasn’t true. After we raised the issue, the listing was updated to disclose that the owner may stay in the basement. Future guests should be aware that this may not be a private, entire-home experience. Transparency before booking would have made all the difference. Based on Recreation Stays and their lack of transparency and customer service, this review could not be more than 3 stars, and I would give 1 star if the house didn’t make up for it.”

“The Unit has multiple false advertised amenities. The host did not respond to any maintenance requests. This was the worst experience!”

“Finding the unit was difficult because the name provided was not visible anywhere on the building, and Google Maps directed us to the back side of the property. Upon arrival, we noticed trash around the parking area, and the overall atmosphere did not feel family-friendly. There were multiple instances of noisy neighbors yelling at their children and playing loud music late into the night, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe traveling with family. While the unit itself was as listed—basic, clean, and functional—the surrounding community significantly impacted our experience. The overall experience was far from what was described. The listing heavily over-indexes on portraying a premium experience, but in reality, it did not feel premium in any sense. Given the location and environment, especially considering the price point, I would not recommend staying here.”
