“Beautiful home, great location but RealJoy management left a lot to be desired though they were responsive. The listed grill wasn't available at check-in; a replacement was delivered but also didn't work (didn’t heat past 250), costing us money on unused groceries and unplanned meals out. Two AC units failed on the same day. For a 5-day stay with 9 people, supplies were inexcusably sparse: one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 trash bag, no beach towels, no cooking basics (salt/pepper/oil), 1 laundry pod, and 1 dishwasher pod. We spent vacation days running errands & troubleshooting issues instead of enjoying the time relaxing. With two young kids in tow, every disruption hit harder. When we raised all of this with RealJoy privately, they dismissed each issue, hid behind their "starter package" policy, and offered no goodwill. The house is genuinely lovely but book knowing you'll need to bring everything yourself and hope the listed amenities actually work.”airbnb

“Overall amazing stay! The view is unbeatable - true 180 degree view and can see the fireworks at Baytown Wharf on Tuesdays from your balcony! The rooftop sun deck sunsets are incredible as well. Very well laid out unit, tons of space and great gathering area. Great walking distance from the beach and the pool was wonderful. Beds weren’t the most comfortable but worked. The only frustrating part was the instructions to get through the parking garage gate and which floor/unit we were incomplete and unclear. Took a few phone calls to check in. Also didn’t realize we had to bring our own beach towels and a lot of extras like paper towels, laundry and dish detergent, basic spices, etc. Left a lot behind for the next visitors though! Would stay again.”airbnb

“Host was slow in response. Watch out for the mai door when exiting to make sure it’s locked. The door doesn’t lock automatically and must be toggle from the dead lock bolt .”airbnb

“Location is great. Overall the house needs a-lot of work done to it. Master bed is bowed and headboard is not attached properly so every little move it shifted you to the center and made noises on the wall from the headboard. Living room furniture has stains and is overly worn. When you sat on the couch the cushions sank into the pullout bed leaving your legs on the hard board. Floors aren’t mopped. Sent a message over 24 hours ago and still haven’t gotten a response. Who we booked with isn’t who the listing was still with at the time of our trip. So I’m guessing new ownership happened between booking and our stay.. The price we paid for this home and the outcome of the inside was very disappointing. Please update all inside furniture.”airbnb

“First, this place is run by a company, not an individual. We arrived at 4:00 (check-in time) and the cleaning crew was still there. I feel like they rushed and did not clean well. There was trash left under a dresser and on the upper deck. The pool was dirty from a storm (not a big deal) but they couldn't get to until 2 days later. I contacted them immediately about the cleaners being there and the pool. They only responded about the pool hours later. The boat lift did not work even after an extra extension cord was dropped off. Outdoor furniture could use some updating. It rains quite often and the cushions stayed wet. Again not a huge deal but furniture that didn't require cushions would make a big difference. Now for the good! The place was in a perfect location. Very close to the beach...we walked there. Easy access to the gulf/crab island and a quiet neighborhood...very nice neighbors that rescued my puppy that was smart enough to open the front door. Overall we enjoyed our stay!”airbnb

“Great place and location. I loved everything except the slow or no response when we called about a bat on the balcony and was not able to use it all that day. They was supposed to send someone out and never did nor did we get a response to even see if it flew away. So that was a bummer. But I loved everything else about the place and pool 👍🏽💕”airbnb

“Great Location, great exterior. The interior is outdated and bare. The stove in the left duplex is missing heat-level marks, so cooking wasn’t possible. The provided shampoo and body wash in most showers was empty. The TVs appeared to be the cheapest and smallest available. We did not receive a door code until calling airbnb and the host for over an hour. Overall, awesome location, but outdated interior.”airbnb

“The house was beautiful and in a great location. I did have a poor experience communicating with the hosts regarding early check in. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay.”airbnb

“The host was notified immediately upon our arrival; however, the issues we encountered were neither addressed nor mitigated in a satisfactory manner. Access to the property itself was significantly impeded, as it took approximately forty-five minutes to travel less than half a mile due to an unannounced local event. The absence of prior disclosure regarding this disruption reflects a clear lapse in communication and consideration for guests. The conditions on the premises over the two-day period were wholly unacceptable. The environment was dominated by excessive noise, largely attributable to groups of disruptive teenagers, rendering the space neither nor suitable for rest. Furthermore, the property was in a state of marked uncleanliness. The furniture was in such poor condition that we were compelled to cover the couches with bed linens simply to make them usable. The kitchen facilities were equally unsatisfactory, exhibiting a level of neglect inconsistent with basic standard”airbnb

“We have stayed at Shores of Panama before and love the location. It's right on the beach and steps away from pineapple Willys. While this unit was nice and had an amazing view of the pool there were some issues. After the first day I tried to wash towels and the dryer would not work. I contacted the contact number and they set up for a repair man to come fix it. unfortunately we went a few days without being able to wash/dry anything but we made the best of it. I also found a cocroach in the kitchen and when I sent a picture to the contact number I was told "welcome to Florida, that is just a bug that comes in from outside" it most definitely was a cocroach. I was told pest control would be up but I'm unsure if they actually came up to the room. on the day we were leaving there was another cocroach in the sink. I did get a picture of this as well as proof that the problem was not taken care of. I will definitely be staying at Shores of Panama again just maybe not this unit”airbnb
