Plushy's guest rating of 4.63 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Choose elsewhere! Grass was way overgrown so we couldn’t hang out outside, floors were super dirty and blackened all our socks. Random food and trash lying about, random stains. Overpriced for such an unclean place. Had to fight super hard to get a partial refund for the uncleanliness, and they only gave a 1/8th refund after much back and forth. I think they were trying to prolong responding so I couldn’t leave a bad review. Hopefully they get better cleaning staff… or any cleaning staff at all.”airbnb

“Place is OK. It was very clean. It is an older place so the floors all squeak loudly. It's not possible to get up to the bathroom without waking everyone else up. My real problem with the place has to do with the ridig thermostat rules. To whit: You are LOCKED OUT of the thermostat between May and October. Our May stay included a very cool day/night. My 90 year old mother was cold and there were no blankets in the place. I had to call for one which they delivered the next day (too late). There is also not a book, magazine, board game, local brochures/guides of any kind. This place is clearly meant to be the bare minimum to maximize profit. The phone/text help is canned responses often ignoring the question posed. I will avoid Plushy's offerings in the future.”airbnb

“Checked in at 4pm on a Thursday. Soon as I walked in the property was too hot to be comfortable in. It was 80degrees upoun arrival!! Called the agent also called the direct line for Airbnb. The agent finally said there would be an a/c technician the next morning at 8, they never showed up until 10. They guy said there was a massive leak in the duck work, he would have to get a approval from the homeowner to do any work on the problem. I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THE AGENT AGAIN-ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. After I literally begged them to make some kind of accommodation. My husband and I burned up all weekend. Also, the DOG HAIR WAS DISGUSTING. IT WAS EVERYWHERE!!! I told the agent about that too, said the housekeeper would be there the next day at 12....and of course THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. It grossed me out - dog hair all over my clothes and it wasn't even from my own pet. Hot house and dog hair!!! It was miserable.”airbnb

“From the moment we arrived, there were issues. No power in part of the house and the WiFi wasn’t working. A breaker was tripped. The breaker box was located in the garage which we did not have access to. After several messages back and forth with the host, we were finally provided the garage code and reset the breaker ourselves. The floors were extremely dirty, as though they had not been swept or mopped in quite some time. There was no broom or vacuum available so i ended up taking a trip to the store to purchase a broom myself! When I removed the comforter from the master bedroom bed I found small blood stains and dirt on the underside. At that point, I stripped the bed and washed the sheets myself. All of these issues were a huge inconvenience after a 15-hour drive from Ohio. To top off the nightmare, about a week after we checked out we received a bill from the host saying they needed an extra $50 for extra cleaning since we left an excessive dirt on the floor. 🤦🏻♀️”airbnb

“Booked for 4 nights but cut it to 2 nights within the deadline for full refund. My receipt showed a total of $760.84, or $190.21 per night. However when I modified the reservation, I was refunded $260.00 instead of $380.42. Despite my request for the full refund for the 2 cancelled nights Plushy only refunded $260 without providing a clear explanation for the price increase. I verified that the nightly rate for those days remained unchanged so the adjustment appears unjustified. Furthermore, when I arrived, it was evident that the space had not been used recently as there was a mildew ring in the upstairs toilet that I had to clean myself. While the unit was generally clean I don’t feel I should have had to clean the toilet when I arrived. Given the hosts failure to abide by their own refund policy I feel this is a terrible way to do business and I would not consider renting this unit or booking with this host again.”airbnb

“I wish I could post the pictures from our stay. The unit was so dusty and had not been properly cleaned with hair in the bath tub and layers of dust everywhere. The screen door was leaning against the patio door and could not be fixed I was told. One beach chair was damaged and could not be used. The amount of construction at this resort made it impossible to enjoy any amenities and it truly was a maze to navigate everyday. This was truly the worst rental experience we have experienced.”airbnb

“The lock battery was low so it was difficult to get in everyday. They called me to tell me Thursday that someone would come and fix the lock but when they came they never fixed it. And the fridge wasn’t on so all of our groceries went bad! Then i received text messages from a totally different person than the first time. And when i complained about everything the owner started to text me. They’re just unorganized and don’t communicate with each other. They need to take this house off because they don’t know how to manage it or their team.”airbnb

“0/5 - An absolute scam from start to finish. Host changed the price after booking, demanded more money a month out, and refused to refund despite plenty of notice. That was just the appetizer. The place is a biohazard. Cigarette smell the second you walk in. Hair and old food on every surface. The mattresses have visible stains with NOTHING between them and the sheets — no liner, no protector, nothing. You’re just laying on years of filth. Hot water lasts four minutes. Half the unit is broken. This isn’t a “rough around the edges” situation — it’s a scam operation with a health hazard attached. Avoid at all costs.”airbnb

“we were supposed to stay in this home for 9 days, we left after 2 and got a refund. the house was absolutely filthy! we had our 9 month old with us and her knees and feet were black after crawling around for a short time. there were dead bugs in the closet. dryer was hot to the touch but didn’t dry the clothes. there were dead bugs in the closet. the vents were dusty. mold in the showers. the backyard was not maintained well. and there was a massive leak in the kitchen, local maintenance wanted me to move the fridge and turn off water myself, which seems outrageous to me. we presented all of this with proof to air bnb and got refunded. would not stay again.”airbnb
