BUYER BEWARE: POOR AIR CONDITIONING 4 stars on the basis of "few issues, not resolved". The Good: Great location, beautiful coastal views, and well-stocked with amenities. The Bad: Heat and humidity were a major issue. My partner prefers a cool environment (~68°F) to sleep, and the single portable AC in the living room is not nearly strong enough to cool the unit. While trade winds help during the day, closing the blinds for privacy/light blocks the breeze and thus the cooling. As a top-floor unit, it suffers from the "attic effect": the roof absorbs heat all day and radiates it at night, making it difficult to cool down. We also noticed occasional critters/flies inside despite screens being closed, though this is a nitpick. For the Host: A second portable unit for the bedroom would do wonders. For Guests: Avoid this property if you are sensitive to heat and want a cool apartment to return to in the evenings. If AC isn't a priority for you, the property is great in all other facets.

Walk straight out to an overlook of the ocean on the cliffs of Princeville. An easy drive to shops, restaurants, and beaches. Surrounded by beauty, wildlife, and rainbows. The unit is so easy to access. Cool breezes, lots of supplies, and a really comfy bed! Highly recommend Anini Beach. Mahalo!

we did not like this place at all, too much noise from the neighbors, many yelling and shouting from neighborhood, very low class nwighborhood, the sliding screen door had many holes and mosquitos were getting inside. The host is not honest even I asked for a quiet location he basically lied about it and said it's a quiet neighborhood. The price is way too much for what you are getting.

When booking, mentioned that this was an important visit because it was a big birthday and I had called this unit home for 8 years. Disappointing to find wilted orchid plants waiting on railing at front door, despite orchids and flowers shown in listing. I understand the rare necessity of air-conditioning, but it’s disappointing that louvers by the front door cannot be opened, as they make for excellent crossflow of the ocean breeze. Blinds great for blocking sun, but also block view and airflow. Light in the kitchen was quite dim for cooking. Closet space was tight for two, but tolerable once we unpacked into the dresser. One towel per guest for a 10-night stay seemed tight, as did the supplied toilet paper and single paper towel roll (we had to purchase additional). Clothes washer and dryer much appreciated. No manual deadbolt on inside, no peephole. Spectacular views of stars, sunrises, albatrosses and rainbows over ocean from the bed if you choose to leave the shade up.
