“Our stay at this Airbnb was extremely disappointing and, most importantly, felt unsafe for our family. We were traveling with our elderly parents, and the property was extremely difficult to access due to a very steep, highly inclined DANGEROUS driveway and multiple stairs. The accessibility and safety issues were much more significant than we expected from the listing. Once we arrived and saw the conditions in person, we did not feel comfortable having our elderly parents stay there. We made the difficult decision to leave the property the very next day, even though we had planned to stay much longer. What made the experience even worse was the host’s response. Despite explaining our concerns and the fact that we had to leave almost immediately because we did not consider the property safe or reasonably accessible for our elderly parents, the host was unwilling to provide any refund or meaningful accommodation. “This property has 2 VERY AGGREESSIVE LOUD BARKING GERMAN SHEPARD DOGS right next door who ran along the adjacent fence both when were were inside the home & outside the home. Additionally, there are 3+ ADDITIONAL DOGS on the opposite side of the home where the 2 AGGRESSIVE German Shepards lived who also ran back & forth BARKING, as if competing for aggressive attention. NOT relaxing & downright CONCERNING when I brought my own small dog who was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED inside & outside the property. Lee, the owner, claims that he has never had any problems before which is a DOWNRIGHT LIE. I would NOT recommend staying at this property unless you plan to enjoy aggressive barking dogs at ALL HOURS of the day & night. When we arrived we immediately contacted Lee with our concerns; however, he denied any knowledge & was UNWILLING to help us resolve this very serious issue. The outdoor areas (dirt) were adjacent to these loud barking dogs, so there was effectiely NOWHERE for our own dog to pee.”

“Listing said the place had a pack and play and a crib available. Not true. We messaged Lee and she responded within 5 minutes. She said it was in a closet. We told her the closet was locked and she said she would contact someone to help us out. We never heard from her again regarding the pack and play. We ended up driving to the Walmart in Corpus to pick one up. Had we known the listing was inaccurate, we would have brought one from home.”

“Overall would’ve been a 5 star if it wasn’t for a double booking situation and another family showed up during our stay and no response from the host after.”

“The house was run-down and not well maintained.The couch was dirty and guests uncomfortable sitting.The hallway bathroom had broken shower tiles and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. We were told to restart the router, but not where it was located.The primary bathroom had an ant problem on the countertop. We were told to wait for pest control, but the issue was never resolved.The backyard was also in poor condition.The outdoor furniture was dirty and dingy, and none of the seating or outdoor kitchen and entertainment areas clean. The pool was the main reason we booked this property, but it was dirty with debris floating on the top and bottom. Someone came to skim the surface, but the bottom was full of debris, making the pool unusable. None of our guests were able to enjoy it. Overall, the property did not meet our expectations. We tried to make the best of it, but the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, unresolved pest problem, and unusable pool made for a very disappointing experience”

“From the pictures and description, this house looks amazing. In reality, the only thing that is accurate from the pictures is the size of the house, it’s huge. Aside from that, everything in this house is off. The hallway bathroom shower drain was clogged. We informed them immediately and they said they would send someone over the next day and they would keep us updated. No one ever came and the next message I got from them was 2 days later asking how our stay was and requesting I leave a 5 star rating, very bizarre. The drain was clogged the whole stay. The house had pockets of weird smells, like musty mold smells and a smell that reminded me of cat urine. The master bathroom baseboard by the shower is gross looking, maybe mildew and mold buildup? There’s rust on the nozzle of the soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms. There’s a ton of chips and dents in the walls/baseboards/doors. Overall, the place needs a lot of maintenance, I would not stay here again. Pretty disappointed.”

“The size and location of the unit(s) is good. Porches and Patios were nice. The units need to be updated, especially 5100 Mission. Needs painting, more furniture etc. in the bedrooms, updated toilets( very small older ones in 5100 side). Upon arrival, none of the bathrooms in the full bedrooms had electrical outlets that worked in the sink areas. They were not GFCI outlets. Finally we were told that they were all on the same circuit and I found one GFCI in the half bath which had tripped( this fixed the problem for our second night). Overall, the home did not feel very clean. A toilet leaked and most bathrooms had black mildew in areas. We even had a sock still in one bed when getting into it the first night. The house manual was supposedly supplied with the check-in email, but was primarily just a list of DON'T DOs. It gave directions on using the nest thermostat, which we didn't have in 5100(not sure sure on 5102 side). Overall, I would not stay here again.”

“As soon as i arived to the house there was an odd smell. There was pet hair on top of the sofas and everywhere around the house. Later that night cochroaches started coming out . Everything was outdated the house did not look like in the pictures. Terrible experience. I will not be booking this house again.”

“Did not have the chance to actually stay at the home. On arrival I went into the home with my family and immediately noticed that the home was not clean. There was dirt and hair located on the stairs that lead up to the living area. The sofa was badly stained as well as the accent pillows. The dining chairs were old, the bedrooms appeared to have not been cleaned. The bathrooms were not clean. The walls, baseboards, and floors in the other spaces in the home were dirty. The A/C filter appeared to have not been changed in quite some time. I looked up and it was the darkest grey I’ve seen. I messaged the hosts immediately only to not be responded to until after I followed up the next morning and had left and found more decent accommodations for my family and myself. The location is close to downtown and a number of restaurants and activities.”

“We arrived at night could barely find the place and had felt like we were trespassing on someone’s property because this home site in the back yard of another one. The noise is horrible! This home adjoins an outdoor venue called Cosmic Pickle which blares music until after midnight and starts again at 8 am the next day! We had to leave and go to another Airbnb. No response from host at all.”
