Nova Vacation Homes

Nova Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.50 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We stayed 2 months and left very disappointed. The unit was not clean on arrival—hair in bathroom, dirty surfaces, sticky glassware, crumbs, and leftover trash/paperwork. We sent photos immediately. Because it wasn’t ready, we were forced to stay elsewhere the first night. After the “cleaning,” the unit was STILL not properly cleaned—sticky glasses and trash still in the closet. I ended up having to clean it. Getting a refund for the first night took far too much effort. The refrigerator leaked the entire stay; Vacasa sent 3 repair visits and it was never fixed. Both of us slipped multiple times and had to keep a towel on the floor just to avoid injury. Misleading amenities: no hot tub on property, ceiling fan, golf access, hangers, hair dryer, iron, or playground. We left 2 weeks early with ample notice; under Vacasa's refund policy those 2 weeks should have been refunded, but Vacasa refused. There was a clear lack of accountability or empathy throughout. Building/location are great!

I’ve been in many high dollar places and given good reviews. At Franks place the blinds will not close and are falling off the frame, the ice machine doesn’t work and the ice we managed to get out was disgusting. The pool looks way bigger in the picture it was really small and the stairs are horrible there is very many. I left my phone and drove 3 hours to the office to pick it up with 15 more hours to go and it took them 30 minutes to answer the phone after getting there. We were in the back hanging out also and the pool people just walked in the back gate like they lived there! Didn’t feel any privacy at all after that. Cups in the cabinet were dirty and still has something on the inside of them. We came home one night and the trash outside from the previous guest had been tore up by some animals and laying all over the property. So annoyed I didn’t even communicate any problems because it was one thing after another and we were just ready to go home

RUN Save yourself the time & hassle. While the house is beautiful there were many issues with the house &even more so with the management team! While several of the issues seem small once you add them all up it becomes a lot and so not worth what you pay for. The months leading up to our trip the hosts were very active and helpful. I first asked specifically if the home has a crib or a pack in play. I was told a crib. There was not a crib & p&p was very small. Lie #1. There were several spots that were dusty and dirty. Master bath sinks didn’t drain. After we purchased groceries we noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling. We had meds that require refrigeration. They brought in a deep freezer that was filthy & left in the middle of the livingroom. No Internet, staffed lied stated a tech came into the home. We were there the whole time. Lies sheet sets not given. Dryer didn’t dry clothes at all. Only one towel/per bed & two washcloths per bathroom for a week. They didn’t care!

We arrived and on night one my child was complaining of being bit, on night 2 we discovered bed bugs and my son got tore up. We had to pack our stuff and leave on day 2. We had to go find somewhere else to stay and spend more money. They tried to send pest control to the house and change the linens and have us back at the house. We declined. The pool table walls were bent, the cue sticks didn’t have tips, most of the lights didn’t shut off. The drain on one of the sinks was broken, the carpet was ripped up and there was wood splints sticking up from the floor. The air hockey table was wired crazy and didn’t work. We were compensated only for the days that we didn’t stay there not our full refund even though we were basically forced out of there due to the bed bugs.

This property should not be operating as a large family Airbnb in its current condition. We arrived to dirty/sticky floors, filthy carpets, dirt in drawers, broken drawers, unstable furniture, peeling fixtures, broken bedframes, missing linens, burned out lights, and very limited kitchen supplies for a house that sleeps 20+ people. More concerning were the safety issues: our group found open safety pins in the carpet, a staple that was stepped on, broken glass outside, and a marijuana blunt hidden in the couch cushions discovered by one of the children in our group. The host did send cleaners back during our stay, but most cleanliness and safety issues remained afterward. Most disappointing was how much vacation time we lost dealing with problems, documenting conditions, and communicating with both owner and Airbnb support instead of enjoying our trip. I honestly am not sure I’ll use Airbnb again after this experience.

Unfortunately my stay was very unrelaxing. I dealt with multiple issues including ants & roaches. The couch smelled like dog. The pool never warmed to the desired temperature and hot tub would not get warm. I was told there was a grill the would be delivered and clean when I arrived it was very dirty with drippings from previous guest. The downstairs did not cool properly. The game room remotes needed batteries and most didn’t work the air hockey table was out of order. I was woken up by an alarm with low batteries at 6 in the morning. I would have liked my stay to have went smoother and to have enjoyed the time we were hoping to have.

Guests beware. Hosts are responsive yet very unhelpful. We experienced issues with the upstairs AC and the fridge was not cooling properly throughout our stay. These issues were brought immediately to the hosts and were not resolved. After our stay we were promised by the host that a refund would be requested on our behalf. We were consistently told it was under review and that they understood our frustration, all BS. We were forced to get Air BNB involved to scratch back a negligible portion of our fees. If you are looking for a fun, stress free place to stay, this is not it. Additionally, we had many other smaller issues with the property. We were a confirmed party of 12. There were 5 pool towels, 6 forks a mismatched carafe in the coffee maker(rendering it useless), the kitchen is minimally stocked. There was 1 small pot and 2 skillets, minimal utensils. This made preparing food in the property very difficult. I would not recommend this property or these property managers

The pictures in the listing are very misleading and do not reflect what the house actually looks like. When we arrived, the house was dirty & clearly not properly cleaned. There were roaches, both dead & alive, which was extremely disturbing, especially since we had kids with us. The glass on one of the doors was also cracked, which made the place feel poorly maintained. We called & sent pictures to report the issues more than once during our short stay. We were told someone would come to clean, but no one ever showed up and no one called back, even though I asked for a callback. Most of the responses we received through text seemed automated, like AI responses, & we never spoke to an actual person. Because we were a large group & our stay was short, leaving wasn’t really an option. We had to go out & buy Lysol,Clorox & cleaning supplies and clean the house ourselves just to make it somewhat bearable to sleep there. the booking did not meet the standard and was a disappointing experien

I do not recommend this property. We booked this home for a special family trip, including celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing and stressful from the start. Upon arrival, we noticed multiple issues with cleanliness—sticky floors, missing mattress protectors, and overall lack of proper sanitation. Shortly after settling in, we discovered what appeared to be bed bugs, which is a serious health and safety concern—especially since we were traveling with children and an expectant mother. We immediately reached out to the host and Airbnb for assistance, but communication was delayed and unhelpful during a very urgent situation. At the time (around 3 AM), we had no safe or immediate relocation options, leaving us in an extremely uncomfortable and stressful position. Eventually, we had to relocate on our own, which created unexpected expenses, including:

Absolutely unacceptable! Airbnb refunded 30% of our 2 week stay, which barely scratches the surface. This place felt less like a vacation and more like an unpaid internship in property management. The front door wouldn’t stay closed unless locked, till they finally fixed it. Hot water went out multiple times, and we had NO HOT WATER (!) till eventually we were literally given instructions on how to fix the boiler ourselves, which we had to keep doing till the end of our stay. A broken step was reported day one and never fixed, a real safety hazard. Kitchen lights flickered for days before being fixed. The home looked nothing like the photos! Missing furniture throughout the house, broken outdoor table and chairs, mismatched and insufficient seating inside & out. Game room? Both the pool table, and air hockey were broken the entire stay. We spent the entire trip coordinating repairs instead of relaxing. Hosts kept apologizing but never actually fixed anything. Absolute nightmare!
