4.51Visit website
Nova Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.51 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“I’ve been in many high dollar places and given good reviews. At Franks place the blinds will not close and are falling off the frame, the ice machine doesn’t work and the ice we managed to get out was disgusting. The pool looks way bigger in the picture it was really small and the stairs are horrible there is very many. I left my phone and drove 3 hours to the office to pick it up with 15 more hours to go and it took them 30 minutes to answer the phone after getting there. We were in the back hanging out also and the pool people just walked in the back gate like they lived there! Didn’t feel any privacy at all after that. Cups in the cabinet were dirty and still has something on the inside of them. We came home one night and the trash outside from the previous guest had been tore up by some animals and laying all over the property. So annoyed I didn’t even communicate any problems because it was one thing after another and we were just ready to go home”airbnb

“Maintenance and work needs to be done on the place. The kitchen floor and next to fridge was not cleaned.. roaches present.. microwave not working.. has small one sitting in counter.. not enough towels for accommodation. One bedroom could not be used due to small bugs on the linen of bed. Staircase repairs needed. Door Knobs loose. Issues should be addressed before renting. No partial refund provided or offered”airbnb

“We arrived and on night one my child was complaining of being bit, on night 2 we discovered bed bugs and my son got tore up. We had to pack our stuff and leave on day 2. We had to go find somewhere else to stay and spend more money. They tried to send pest control to the house and change the linens and have us back at the house. We declined. The pool table walls were bent, the cue sticks didn’t have tips, most of the lights didn’t shut off. The drain on one of the sinks was broken, the carpet was ripped up and there was wood splints sticking up from the floor. The air hockey table was wired crazy and didn’t work. We were compensated only for the days that we didn’t stay there not our full refund even though we were basically forced out of there due to the bed bugs.”airbnb

“RUN Save yourself the time & hassle. While the house is beautiful there were many issues with the house &even more so with the management team! While several of the issues seem small once you add them all up it becomes a lot and so not worth what you pay for. The months leading up to our trip the hosts were very active and helpful. I first asked specifically if the home has a crib or a pack in play. I was told a crib. There was not a crib & p&p was very small. Lie #1. There were several spots that were dusty and dirty. Master bath sinks didn’t drain. After we purchased groceries we noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling. We had meds that require refrigeration. They brought in a deep freezer that was filthy & left in the middle of the livingroom. No Internet, staffed lied stated a tech came into the home. We were there the whole time. Lies sheet sets not given. Dryer didn’t dry clothes at all. Only one towel/per bed & two washcloths per bathroom for a week. They didn’t care!”airbnb

“I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnbs over the past year, and unfortunately this was the worst experience so far. The listing advertised a hot tub, but it was actually a spa connected to the pool — and you have to pay extra to heat the pool for the spa to maybe get warm. Very misleading. We also ran into roaches during our stay, which was a huge disappointment, and the dishwasher had a disconnected part when we went to use it. To top it off, if you want to check in early, apparently that costs $45 an hour. Then at checkout, the cleaning crew was literally waiting outside for us to leave, which honestly just made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and rushed. On the positive side, the house itself was very spacious and worked well for our group size. With better maintenance, cleanliness, and more accurate listing details, this place could be much better.”airbnb

“We love Storey Lake and while thrilled to find a last minute rental we had issues with cleanliness and broken amenities. The sheets and mattress in one room were soaked with urine, beds broken in a other room, broken kitchen faucet handle, dishwasher did not clean dishes, laundry only washed in scolding hot water, and downstairs bathroom door faced outside and was completely visible to others.”airbnb

“This property should not be operating as a large family Airbnb in its current condition. We arrived to dirty/sticky floors, filthy carpets, dirt in drawers, broken drawers, unstable furniture, peeling fixtures, broken bedframes, missing linens, burned out lights, and very limited kitchen supplies for a house that sleeps 20+ people. More concerning were the safety issues: our group found open safety pins in the carpet, a staple that was stepped on, broken glass outside, and a marijuana blunt hidden in the couch cushions discovered by one of the children in our group. The host did send cleaners back during our stay, but most cleanliness and safety issues remained afterward. Most disappointing was how much vacation time we lost dealing with problems, documenting conditions, and communicating with both owner and Airbnb support instead of enjoying our trip. I honestly am not sure I’ll use Airbnb again after this experience.”airbnb

“Unfortunately my stay was very unrelaxing. I dealt with multiple issues including ants & roaches. The couch smelled like dog. The pool never warmed to the desired temperature and hot tub would not get warm. I was told there was a grill the would be delivered and clean when I arrived it was very dirty with drippings from previous guest. The downstairs did not cool properly. The game room remotes needed batteries and most didn’t work the air hockey table was out of order. I was woken up by an alarm with low batteries at 6 in the morning. I would have liked my stay to have went smoother and to have enjoyed the time we were hoping to have.”airbnb

“I do not recommend this property. We booked this home for a special family trip, including celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing and stressful from the start. Upon arrival, we noticed multiple issues with cleanliness—sticky floors, missing mattress protectors, and overall lack of proper sanitation. Shortly after settling in, we discovered what appeared to be bed bugs, which is a serious health and safety concern—especially since we were traveling with children and an expectant mother. We immediately reached out to the host and Airbnb for assistance, but communication was delayed and unhelpful during a very urgent situation. At the time (around 3 AM), we had no safe or immediate relocation options, leaving us in an extremely uncomfortable and stressful position. Eventually, we had to relocate on our own, which created unexpected expenses, including:”airbnb
