My Vacation Haven

My Vacation Haven's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

A big disappointment I must say, outdated and AI generated falsely advertised. Host is rude and unprofessional. Pls make sure the floors are clean, linen and appliance are working and up to par.

If I could rate this zero stars I would. Paid $2,000 for a week only to arrive to trash by the front door. Terrible odor inside. Stains all over walls, carpet and floor like it’s never been cleaned. Pictures look nothing like they advertise. Golf cart is falling apart. Washer had dirty residue. And to top it all off we found 3 different cockroaches in the shower within the first 2 hours of being there. Called the company only for them to tell me best they could do was come pest control the next day. Thankfully air bnb was able to help. DO NOT BOOK!!!

The house is nice but there are some basic upkeep that is neglected. There are a good amount of ants all around the property that could be taken care of by an exterminator, the second floor bathroom doesn’t lock, one of the upstairs bedroom doors didn’t latch so you couldn’t close it, the ac kept fluctuating a lot and probably had something wrong with it, and the golf cart we were provided with had an ebrake that didn’t work so you didn’t know if it would roll away or not. When we messaged about the golf cart they got someone to look at it a day and a half after they said it would be looked at. They also gave no heads up and we didn’t have the cart at the house when the guy showed up. The guy said the golf cart needed to be taken to the shop but just left it and didn’t offer to give us a different one even though they were a rental place that had multiple other golf carts. Other than that it was a nice house at the beach

This residence was clean and the house as described. However, the residence was the “bare minimum starter pack,” meaning that there was one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, two garbage bags for an entire week, no salt or pepper in the kitchen, no coffee filters in the coffee maker, etc. Although there is a “guide” sent by text, it is not embedded in the air bnb app and it is not user friendly. There is no guide in the residence itself. We couldn’t find the golf cart key and there is no map for how to get to the beach. Also, I was notified about two weeks before our stay, that the house that I had originally booked was no longer available and that we were being moved to a smaller house. I would not stay here again.

Nice place! We loved the location and having two golf carts made it convienent for two families. There were no beach towels at the property… The check out instructions require that you run the dishwasher, which they only give you one pod for…forcing you to then have to buy dishwashing detergent if you want to run more than one load. Also- the kitchen was stocked with ample cooking items but no salt/oil/spices etc…many rentals we have rented with have these from guests left over. This place was bare. Made it more expensive/hard to actually cook at the place. Overall, we loved Sandestin. The beach was easy access and the grounds are very well kept! We loved that the pool was just outside the condo and that Baytown was close by!

The property was exceptionally clean, and I want to give a big shoutout to the cleaning crew — everything was spotless. Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay. Upon arrival, nearly everything was unplugged. We also discovered there was no HDMI cable available to connect to the living room TV, no Roku or anything. The biggest disappointment was the dryer, which never worked properly the entire time we were there. It couldn’t dry even a single towel or shirt despite multiple attempts throughout the week. We reached out to the host several times but never received a response. On a positive note, the host did reimburse us for replacing a broken umbrella, which we appreciated. The driveway was also very tight, requiring us to constantly shuffle the car just to maneuver the golf cart. While the cleanliness was excellent, the non-working dryer, lack of host communication, and limited functionality of the appliances made the $2,900 price tag for a

My family and I were looking forward to this trip. If you stay here know that you CANNOT get into the house until 4:05 not one minute sooner. The sprinklers came on Sunday at 10 so we had to run through them to get to the driveway. The ceiling fan & light does not work in the master bedroom. The carpet in master bedroom is so stained I took pictures on first day. The smoke detector in master went off at 1:20 AM Monday and beeped sporadically all night. They sent someone to change battery the next day that Tuesday, then AGAIN the smoke detector woke us at 12:15 AM. We called again & was told we could remove battery, so then it chirped… we ended up having to google it & finding we could just unplug it. We had our 2 fur babies so not only did we have the smoke alarm beeping but we had barking because it hurt their ears. I feel asleep on the beach on Monday because I was exhausted & for severely sunburned. It ruined the rest of my trip because I was in pain. We even left a day early. sad!

This rental was a beautiful house. Stunning. Very clean (the lower level we had 5-6 bugs every day). Being an Air BnB there was a lot of supplies that felt lacking. The walking distance wasn’t too bad for families. However, before booking I asked the host if this beach allowed tents and chairs. They were very responsive and said this is a private beach but “the house includes chairs and an umbrella!” That sounds great for a family - once we arrived there was no umbrella, so we made our way to the beach only to find you must pay a significant rental fee each day for any chairs and umbrella. I asked the host and they said “yes you have an umbrella but you must use it at the public beach (which was a 10 min walk away). I didn’t find this out until we’re at the beach on our vacation. The other two families in this house found out as well in real time. It felt like we were manipulated and misled every time I asked leading up to the vacation. The beautiful house was outshone by the host.

this unit is beautiful and the location is amazing but unfortunately there was construction all 5 days we were there. it literally sounded like they were going to come through our wall every morning at 8:00 a.m. This would go on until 5:00 p.m. It was so bad. we would attempt to reach out to My Vacation Haven and they would never respond to us. AIRBNB did everything they could to help but The issue I have here is dealing with any properties that My Vacation Haven runs. They simply do not care. AIRBNB told me they could not get a response from them either. We paid $1600 for a bit so relaxing vacation. The property is beautiful though. The communication was horrible.

Our stay was disappointing overall. One of the main reasons we booked this Airbnb was because it advertised two golf carts, but one did not work for the entire stay. With six people in our group, this created a significant inconvenience and impacted our ability to get around the resort. Cleanliness was also an issue. The floors were not properly cleaned, walking barefoot left the bottoms of our feet black, which was very noticeable upon arrival. Additionally, the beach chairs provided were worn out and rusty, making them uncomfortable and difficult to use. The grill, which was also listed as an amenity, did not work, preventing us from using it for meals as planned. Communication about these issues was slow, and they were not resolved during our stay. While the location was nice, the missing and non-functional amenities made the stay less enjoyable than expected.
