“The place is fine and lives up to the expectations per the listing. The host is pretty awful. Very corporate and careless. They would not budge in the 4 pm check in even though it states you can ask for an earlier one. They claimed the cleaners needed the full time till 4pm so they could be meticulous. We went up there just to check on things and there was no cleaners anywhere and the place was totally clean and available at 1pm on. We did Not appreciate the false information. It would have been nice for our group to check in a bit early and they just did not care. Then they have a check out at 10am and not 11 which is pretty obnoxious. We, again, asked for a one hour grace so we could clean better and run thru the check out instructions better. They just send corporate responses denying the request for no reason. Like I said, solid place for big groups and multiple families, but plan on a host that is more like a robot and has no interest in enhancing experience.”

“This was not a good AirBNB experience. First, the positive. On check in, the home was clean and organized. Their description was accurate and the home had the listed amenities. Sleeping arrangements were great for a family with lots of beds and bunks. THE BAD. We checked in Saturday late afternoon. We had dinner and went to bed. My mom's husband sleeps on the sofa (he finds it more comfortable). In the middle of the night, he woke up with a RAT walking on him. Of course he was shocked. He tried to chase it down, but it got away. The next morning, we let staff know immediately, and said we'd be leaving immediately. After their inspection found evidence of rodents, they agreed to refund us for our 3 unused nights. After 5 days we had no refund so I inquired. They then sent a partial refund, but not the whole amount agreed to (about $500 short). I sent them the calculations and they told me to contact AirBNB. I did, and thankfully the support team got us the balance we were owed.”

“Very disappointing, disrespectful, and unprofessional stay. There were glass shards around the property, which was especially concerning with a baby and 2 dogs. The host took forever to respond, showed little empathy, and did not take our safety concerns seriously. The house was also dirty, with piles of dog fur and dust, despite being charged a cleaning fee. The stove and oven did not work, yet the listing advertised a full, working kitchen—which was false advertising. The host never sent maintenance and claimed parts needed to be ordered, suggesting they were already aware of the issue but failed to disclose it beforehand. They even tried to gaslight us by claiming we had said the stove was working, when it absolutely was not. No meaningful effort was made to accommodate us or resolve the issue. Also, the BBQ grill was disgusting, appearing not to have been cleaned in months, if not years. Overall, the property was poorly maintained, unsafe, and misrepresented. We would not stay here”

“We stayed here for two weeks, and the location itself was absolutely beautiful. Being surrounded by Mt. Hood, the river, the trees, and wildlife, made this such a serene and memorable place to visit. Unfortunately, our experience with the home itself was disappointing. During our stay, we repeatedly found mouse droppings in the kitchen and living areas, and one of our bags of rice was chewed through by a mouse. We reported the issue promptly, but it took multiple follow-ups before maintenance came out, and housekeeping appointments were delayed or canceled. We also found that basic supplies, including dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and toilet paper, were provided in very limited quantities for a two-week stay. We had to request additional supplies. While communication was polite, the cleanliness preparedness, and overall experience did not meet our expectations, especially given the cost of our stay. I hope these issues are resolved so future guests can fully enjoy this location.”

“Pros: The view & location is amazing Cons: Several amenities were broken or unusable. The HotTub has a musky smell, definitely not kept up with chemicals. No chemicals or test strips were provided. The home had a letter stating to use the blue/green towels, but those didnt even exist. DVD players & the XBox dont work. The fusbol table in the layout is also not real. Mold was present in the downstairs bathroom. Mouse droppings are on top of cookware stored under the kitchen stove. The Instruction booklet was no help, its a generic home guideline with more info about fees than info to help keep the house in the best shape possible. Be prepared to look at darkness or flickering lights as half the lights in the house are out. Doors are all heavy and need repaired. You have to lift doors to close them. If you do choose this place, bring hand soap! Per the host, "Hand soap is not a provided amenity, go to the nearby dollar store for soap". & no oven mits! This is all I can include in review”

“Upon arriving the address was incorrect (which obviously was incorrect for other guests because they tried to get into our cabin - which is an uncomfortable and scary situation).. but then we had no WiFi and no passcode to get in so had to drive back to service to get in after traveling all day. The photos make this place look more secluded than it actually is. You have neighbors on each side. It just wasn’t as private as much as we thought or would have liked it to be. The beds. Both beds were incredibly uncomfortable to the point my back was so messed up the next day so we switched to the one upstairs that was a tad better but still uncomfortable. The bed sheets were never replaced when asked them. They just were scratchy and itchy and seemed very old. When I addressed this to the hosts they told me they would ask house keeping to possibly replace them but never got back to us about it the whole 5 nights we were then. When I brought it up again they told me that it was their stand”

“The second we walked in, we smelled horrible odors, mold, stinky smells with stinky carpet that had lots of stains. We have encountered many insects everywhere. It had ripped blinds. Their instructions were not clear and we had to wait outside for a bet to hear back from them. Definitely don’t recommend it for pple with asthma.”

“The house was nice and in a convenient location. The house was not clean upon arrival. Wood flooring was covered in foot prints, animal foot prints, food crumbs and sticky spots. We reported this to the host on arrival and were told “ sorry for the inconvenience, we will communicate this the cleaning staff”. No resolution was offered by the host.”

“The size of the house allowed us to spend a couple of days together with several members of of our family. It was a little like having a slumber party. The view off the deck down to the river was beautiful. There were a couple of issues that prospective visitors should be aware of. The house has a very strong smell as you first enter it, the cause of which is that there has obviously been a rodent problem. There were mouse droppings that we observed all over the main floor. We didn't, however see any mice until the morning we were leaving. One of our party saw one enter and leave the upstairs restroom. Second issue: the first evening we were looking forward to grilling on the deck, BBQ was on the title of the listing as one of it's main features, however after getting all the meat too cook we discovered that the grill actually did not work....their staff advised us they knew it was broken yet they had me buy propane. we experienced a lack of cooperation on the part of the company”

“Unfortunately the wifi and TV didn't work during our stay and was not able to be fixed. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher. Over all the house appeared unclean and full of both living and dead bugs. Sheets on one of the beds had an odor.”
