Mountain Laurel Chalets

“This is a lovely home! Just as pictured. The view is spectacular and the location is very convenient to Gatlinburg while still feeling like you are out of the city. Beds were comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is that the home is a bit older and we would have liked more basic cooking supplies provided such as salt and pepper, half and half for coffee and spatula. Overall we had a great experience.”

“We had a great stay despite the weather. The downstairs shower is like heaven! 10/10 would recommend that shower! I wished there were brooms and mops / swiffers as I have two dogs that shed, plus it was rainy over the weekend. It would have been nice to been able to clean up after them instead of using towels. Lastly , we couldn’t figure out how to use the indoor fireplace. We loved the little gift bags around the house as well!”

“House was very clean, sleeping was set up good for three people. Nice large deck, but not much of the view because of the trees. Trees also made the deck private. Construction next door however they did not start until 9 AM, and were relatively quiet. Kitchen was nice but updates need to be made to pots for someone who would be cooking all week. Hot tub jets on deck were not working well kind of defeated the purpose. Water was warm so we still used it, lid is hard to remove. I had questions about the Dollywood tickets response was immediate. Couple things need updated, but I would still recommend this property.”

“We absolutely loved our time at the cabin!! It was super clean, and the deck was spacious, and the views were incredible! We saw 7 bears on our deck and while we were there, so it’s definitely on a bear path! They would walk from behind the hot tub through to the stairs and down. They were never aggressive and never bothered our stuff. One ornery one looked like he might want to check out our van but we yelled and he scurried off. The ONLY complaints I have was that the beds were not comfy at all lol we were all complaining every morning. And the keyless entry messed up every single time we tried to use it and we would have to wait a few minutes for it to reset to get in. Other than that I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!! They were always quick to respond to us as well!”

“The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was fun, but the living room sofa was very uncomfortable! The cabin was clean, but the shower head and hoses had a lot of residue build up. The tap water had a noticeable sulfur smell and taste, we ended up using bottles of water to brush our teeth. We were unable to use the fireplace, and could not find any instructions on how to get it to turn on. Our questions were answered quickly when we had to message the host, but when we asked how to get the Dollywood tickets we were told we had to come to the office in Gatlinburg, but in reality it is through Explori so we did not need to drive to the office as it was all online. There were no extra trash bags. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would stay with the company again.”

“Great property with a responsive host and an easy check-in process. The master bedroom was very comfortable, and setting up streaming services like Disney+ on the TV was seamless (though note there are no live TV channels). A few minor updates could make this stay even better—the hot tub is a bit dated and doesn't get particularly warm, and the kitchen is missing a few basic essentials like a cutting board.”

“Our rental had a very nice view off the deck and very private. The location was easy to navigate in and out of. The pictures were pretty accurate but did seem AI enhanced. My only complaints were the limited wash cloths. There were 4 of us and only 4 wash cloths for the four night stay. There was a washer and dryer available to us though. Also, there was no packets of coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. Those things are silly to buy when you just need them for a few days. Overall, I would stay again if the price was right.”

“As a child wrote in the guest book in 2025: "this place needs some touch-ups." The cabin was great space with a wonderful view, but: it's up lots of steep roads that are a pain. The couch was nearly unsittable, springs poking through and cushions you fall through immediately. Not cozy or relaxing after our wedding. The upstairs bedroom is so hot and the AC only went to 68 downstairs which is still very hot upstairs. They told me the unit couldn't go lower. Then upgrade the blower to actually get AC upstairs. The photos were photoshopped/filtered, the pool table is scuffed, seats, chairs and table are all just old. If it was $1000 for 5 nights I might have overlooked but it was $2000. Not worth that. They could upgrade the whole place for just what I paid that week and I hope they do. At least they let me out a day early for a slight rebate. Also the community gym was not open (reason we chose this place) and there were squirrels running IN the walls one night at 5am (holes in soffit).”

“Upon arrival there were SO many dead bugs. On EVERY surface, including beds. Did not look like anyone had been by to clean in weeks. The basement smelled like dead mice and closets contained mouse droppings. When we turned on the kitchen sink it filled with dead ants. Our view was obstructed by construction work next door which wasn’t disclosed (they were also very loud). I paid over 1500$ for 2 nights and the first night was spent sweeping all the dead bugs and disinfecting. I had to fight for a better refund after they only refunded 109$. Beautiful space, just did a bad job cleaning the place before having guests. If the place had been cleaned properly & construction disclosed I would’ve given 5 stars.”

“Kinda pricey for the experience we had. We were expecting more of an elevated experience with paying over $300/nt and it was nice but not luxury. Management was VERY nice but said they would have someone come clean up the bugs on our first day, and it never happened. Apparently the cleaning person came to our street within the hour, but incorrectly assumed they should not come to the door if we were still on property even though we never said that. They could have called/texted us to clarify - but instead they just left and didn’t communicate. We got home after dinner and saw no one came - so we cleaned up all the dead bugs ourselves and continually cleaned them up throughout the 3 day stay. The office told us this is normal for this cabin in the Spring. It hadn’t been our experience during Spring stays at other cabin. High points: GREAT location, clean/working hot tub, comfy beds, everything in working order, nice staff.”
