MGM Properties
4.53Visit website
MGM Properties's guest rating of 4.53 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The property itself has so much going for it — beautiful venue, wonderful neighborhood, and genuinely the most comfortable beds we've slept in at an Airbnb. The space has real charm and the overall aesthetic is lovely. That said, we encountered a few issues that impacted our stay and that future guests should know about. We found bugs in the unit, and the hot tub had debris in it and wasn't guest-ready. When we reached out to the host, the only response was a suggestion to use bug spray — there was no offer to remedy the situation or any form of compensation, which was disappointing given the issues. We'd also note that the master bedroom has large, uncovered windows with no shades or blackout option, so light starts pouring in around 4:30am — worth knowing if you're a light sleeper. We wouldn't return based on our experience, not because the property lacks potential, but because the host's response to legitimate concerns fell short.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, this was not a good stay. The house itself was okay, but it felt old, run down, and very minimally stocked. The kitchen was only stocked for about 3 to 4 people, even though the house sleeps many more, so it felt like the property provided only the bare minimum. The bigger issues were the process, rules, and overall communication. The management company was not very welcoming, the verification process was excessive, and we had to agree to the house rules multiple times. The address in the app was also wrong, causing us to circle the area several times before finding it. The guest policy was especially frustrating. No guests were allowed at all, even briefly, and the rules repeatedly warned about eviction or cancellation. We were in town for a graduation and would have liked for elderly family members to come over to rest. Overall, the house was underwhelming, frustrating, and not very welcoming.”airbnb

“The property is touted at luxury, and it’s absolutely not. Don’t get me wrong: the place was clean and comfortable, but it wasn’t luxury. As an example, the shampoo was “sauve.” That’s available at the dollar store. Additionally, the flooring was laminant but the type that sounds like paper when you walk on it. That coupled with the far North (Westfield) location and the additional “subjective” rental Agreement and deposit (outside of Airbnb) they make you pay, this wasn’t worth the experience. Had I been staying longer than 2 days, I think I would have been more upset. The bed and overall place were comfortable - just overpriced.”airbnb

“I’ve never written a review before, but I would not stay here again. After I booked an initial unit with MGM from January to May, I was only in that unit for two weeks before they told me the landlord was kicking them out and I had to vacate within one week. Not sure how they could accept a reservation for my full stay knowing they did not have a secure lease. They were inconsiderate and hard to get a hold of during the second move, and they offered me nothing for all the trouble I went through due to moving on short notice. They only got on the phone with me once, and they were unable to interpret clear text communications from me. This led to awful issues on the day of my movie to the second unit. I got no discount or accommodation for the second unit. They were mostly rude when communicating with me through a stressful time. The sink, toilet, and bathroom overall in my second unit were very tiny. Overall, I would not recommend living here. The host is unreliable and inconsiderate.”airbnb

“My experience with MGM properties was awful. Upon arrival there was zero toilet paper and only a total of 5 towels when we made the reservation for 7 of us. That was a small issue in comparison to the no heat we had for two days . The thermostat was broken and they would not pay to fix it on the spot like the technician offered. We spent two nights in the house which was below 60 degrees with three young children. The infants toes and hands were blue when waking up in the morning. I was accused of breaking the thermostat and was told it was not that cold since it was spring outside even though the temps outside were between 30-40 degrees during our stay. The draft in the front bedroom was so cold the space heater that I was told to purchase for a temporary fix didn’t help. MGM was very unprofessional and rude with me the entire time and advised I was not being patient when they informed me the heat still would not be fixed on the third day when the weather was getting colder.”airbnb

“Place was beautiful & looked just like pics but a bit smaller. Towels had black stains so we had to wash before use but everything else was clean. Whoever answers the messages was a bit passive aggressive and smart aleck. Not a good look. I was also charged $50 from MGM properties after paying for the stays as well as the security deposit hold.”airbnb

“Stay was good, just needs a little bit more stuff like instructions of how to turn on the fireplace (no key) im guessing . Missing a comforter for the top bunk. I messaged them about it and nothing was done about it. Upon arrival we noticed the outside trashed were full . So we had to pull them out since we noticed it was trash day the next day. Stores and fast food are near by so it was convenient.”airbnb

“First I would like to say this place was nice in the inside, However the white walls are filthy all over the house. The tub was NOT clean had blue soap dripping inside. The lock to the gate to let you on the property is NOT working properly. Host requested numerous of videos stating it was working earlier however the guest under us stated they also been having problems. We also got locked out of the property for an hour and half at 1230am in the morning. We had to go around to the BACK to enter the property at 1 almost 2am AFTER the code was changed for us to enter. Host again continue to request videos as if we were impaired. Communication I would give 3/10. Yes they will communicate with you however it’s DIFFICULT because it’s only through text and no one near to help. There is no private parking, you parking on the street. Someone windows were busted out near our parking.”airbnb

“The place was fine but MGM Properties were a nightmare to deal with. They did not disclose stairs at the unit until after renting and refused to cancel with a full refund, minutes after booking. I was locked out from entering in the middle of my stay and had to request a reset of the codes, I had to request entry instructions, their guidebook had issues when accessing it from my phone and they are still trying to charge me a $50 late checkout fee that I did not request, nor need and is currently in dispute with Airbnb. I'm not sure if MGM owns this place or not but if I was the owner, I'd definitely look for another management company.”airbnb

“I do NOT recommend using MGM Properties as a host. Approximately 2 wks into our planned 2mth stay, paperwork arrived to the apt involving MGM and specified an upcoming court date. I notified the host with photos of several pages, and was told to “trash it”; we trusted their guidance and stayed. Bad idea! 4 wks later (and after we'd made the final payment) an eviction notice was posted on the door requiring us to vacate within 24 hours. Upon notifying the host, we received a half-hearted apology and no recourse to find other accommodations. This was extremely alarming and left us scrambling to quickly pack, move all our things & find alternative accommodations. This could have been avoided if they’d taken care of the court order. The eviction experience was traumatic on its own and only compounded by additional issues we endured that I don’t have the space to elaborate. This has been the most stressful Airbnb experience. I caution others not to stay in a MGM hosted unit, I won’t.”airbnb
