Maui Condo and Home

“Overall, a great experience! The view from the balcony didn’t match the picture of the view in the listing. Also, we were without power for 8 hours due to a blown transformer in the building. Couldn’t use the elevators for a bit. My dad was sick so his stay in the hotel room wasn’t great during this time. The host eventually responded but not much beyond an “Apologies for the inconvenience”. Overall, it was a lovely stay with some minor hiccups.”

“Location is very accessible--west shore, but still within 1 hour drive of Wailea and Kahului. Excellent sborkel/dive locations within a short drive. Staff very friendly, lots of families with kids, adult pool for isolation, sea life including turtles and rare seals. Grocery store within walking distance! So much more comfortable staying in a condo vs hotel, just our opinion! Heads up, resort fee, some taxes and parking not included in AirBnB "all inclusive" price, so add $40/day.”

“The location is amazing, and the property itself is nice. Being right next to Whalers Village and close to Black Rock was a huge plus. Unfortunately, the pest infestation in our unit seriously affected our stay. There were ants all over the kitchen counters, and we found bugs on the stove, coming out of the toaster, toaster oven, and blender, and even in the bathroom. We reported the issue and shared videos with the host. Maintenance came by twice, but despite the efforts to address it, the problem continued. It was honestly disgusting to have bugs around the kitchen and appliances, and we were worried about them getting into our luggage and coming home with us. We appreciated the attempts to help, but the infestation remained unresolved during our stay. As much as we loved the location, I would not book this unit again without knowing the pest problem has been fully addressed.”

“Beautiful location, clean and well stocked. Dina’s Sandwitch Bar bonus. Pool was nice and hot tub as well. Only complaint is no television in the bedroom, limited smart tv apps and the couch not very comfortable. This was our third week, it was relaxing and unit was great just those 2 complaints for updates in the future.”

“Really is a great place and resort staff helped us with issues we had. The carpets were pretty dirty (walk sockless gave you black feet) and some dishes in the kitchen was dirty with food residue on it still. Besides that everything was great. We also booked a full ocean view and it was definitely a partial ovean view but when we talked to staff they moved us to a better room which was nice.”

“I won’t be booking here again, host did not mention $45 daily valet parking fee on description prior to booking and wasn’t very accommodating to the fact that we had to pay for it. Didn’t care to waive it or pay for it themselves. Their attitude was very much just “oh well there’s nothing much we can do” they ended up accommodating us by charging half of the amenity fee but still. None of this was mentioned to us prior to booking and even lady on the phone confirmed that it wasn’t in the description yet still they didn’t waive it. Also, blankets or sheets have to be brought to you once you call front desk or else you are just left wondering why the pull out bed has no blankets or sheets. If I knew an additional $300 was going to be charged I’d book somewhere much nicer and more modern.”

“The “resort” was awful. - Pros: Location, location, location. Next to a lot of businesses + beach access The pool was OK, water was warm so we didn’t stay in long. -Cons: Due to the floor being concrete in the hallways and outside you hear people walking and rolling luggage all hours of the night/ day. Felt like I was at an air port and hearing planes lift off with how loud it was. - The most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. The living room couch pull out one was for my two kids (10 and 7) - they complained that their back hurt. The bedroom bed was so hard I woke up in pain. - The room felt like a prison cell, the “blankets” were very thin. Sleeping was impossible here. Very uncomfortable. - I called and requested additional blankets , they confirmed the requested and they never delivered them, I had to call the next day and get them delivered. This place is rough. You get what you pay for. This place felt like a glorified motel6. Cheap spot . Not for relaxation”

“I also wanted to mention a few other issues with the unit. There are approximately 200 birds roosting in the trees directly outside the room, and they are extremely loud and squawking at all hours of the night. It has made it very difficult to get any sleep. The unit also had German roaches, which was extremely off putting. I spent a good amount of money on groceries and dinner, and when I tried cooking in the unit, roaches were coming out of the cracks and crawling around on the food. That made it impossible for me to feel comfortable preparing or eating food there. Additionally, the listing advertised that guests would receive a flower lei upon arrival, but that is not actually offered. This was another amenity that was advertised but not provided. Overall, these issues have significantly affected the quality of our stay and were not what we expected based on the listing.”

“Maui condo was a horrible choice to stay 7 days, they were inconsiderate to say the least and were blunt to the core. Would not recommend Maui condo for any stay in Hawaii”

“The condo was hot, only one portable unit, which was in the master bedroom, the rest of the condo was pretty hot, a few the windows couldn't close tightly to keep the cold air in from the fans. Did not provide blanket for the pull out bed. The shower dispensers were broken, the water didn't get hot, if 2 people showered at the same time, there's no hot water at all. We were not given parking instructions, I had to ask the next day when I picked up the other key and the community pool keys.”
