The cottage is tucked away in a quiet, private area of the island, while still being conveniently located within a short drive of Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor, and other attractions. We especially appreciated the beautiful water views from the balcony, which made for a relaxing place to start and end each day. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed and felt comfortable and welcoming throughout our stay. The host was exceptionally responsive, always quick to answer questions and provide assistance when needed. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway on Mount Desert Island.”

“Beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, thoughtful touches, gorgeous location. Patrick responded quickly to a few minor concerns. Would definitely stay here again, although the price is substantially increased during July and August. Also although it is 20 minutes from Acadia, it is 45 minutes from most of the attractions in the park.”

The house offers you an opportunity to relax and appreciate the gorgeous views. We took advantage of the dock on his property and set sail daily on this spectacular lake. Everything you can possibly dream of doing is minutes away in any direction. Hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, breathtaking ocean views, delicious seafood! “Wonderful stay on Mount Desert Island. The house is situated beautifully along the water and nestled within the trees. Tons of privacy. Fantastic access to the beach and the dock. Great spot for our two dogs to run around freely. The kitchen is set up nicely. The living space is comfy and spacious. We used the upper Master bedroom and loved. The access to the deck just off the bedroom was lovely.Plenty of parking. Easy access to the various towns on MDI, as well as simple to access all of the various hiking trails in Acadia. We loved the experience and will definitely be back. Patrick is a fantastic host.”

“Beautiful view, great space. Everything immaculate and all the necessary basics supplied. One day of our stay was torrential rain and it was super cozy hanging out playing boards by the fire place. Then when the sun returned, lovely eating dinner on the deck. Close by Bass Harbor lighthouse and Ship harbor trail - highly recommend! Thank you!”

“Our stay here was great! The house was exactly as pictured and was perfect for what we needed. The house was tucked away from the craziness but close enough to drive into Bar Harbor when we wanted. The towels were fluffy and the bed was comfortable. Patrick was easy to communicate with and instructions were clear. We will definitely be back!”
