Luxury Simplified Retreats

Luxury Simplified Retreats's guest rating of 4.80 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house! Our family of four had plenty of room to relax inside and outside. We loved the screened front porch with seating, and table for meals outdoors. The location was perfect as we prefer to leave the car in the driveway, and walk as much as possible. The beach access was almost directly across the street, and just a short 8-10 minute walk to Main Street and all restaurants. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting Folly!

Unfortunately, due to a host and the so called "Luxury Retreat Team's" lack of responsiveness we cannot highly recommend this place. The air conditioning uses mini-splits that do not cool the place well. Two mini splits were broken and we needed portable air conditioners put in. When we let Alison and the team know, their response took a long time and we needed to get Airbnb involved. Due to the lack of air conditioning the house had a musty smell and the first two days were very uncomfortable. The location was great as it was walkable to the beach and restaurants. There are only sheers on the windows so there is no privacy and it is light in the bedrooms very early in the morning. House is well equipped with kitchenware. It could be a nice place if they kept up with the maintenance. The biggest disappointment was Alison's lack of response and concern.

I have stayed in many places and this house is definitely at the top of my list of favorites. There are so many lovely details in the home that definitely justify its "luxury" label.

Very spacious 2nd row house with a wonderful view and close proximity to beach access. My family was very comfortable and although we didn’t bring a pet along, I think that’s an added bonus that its pet friendly. We would stay here again.

Our family had a great stay at this lovely home tucked into the beautiful marsh in Kiawah. It was so private and safe and we enjoyed our many bike rides out to the marsh and the ocean course. Very close to the beach- you can find parking near boardwalk 40- or you could easily ride a bike. The beach was not crowded at all for June! We were so impressed with how well the home was stocked with basic supplies that you don’t want to have to purchase on vacation. The beds were comfortable, the home was very clean- and we even enjoyed reading a few books about Kiawah that were available. We would love to stay here again.

Great location!! Awesome ocean views, easy check in experience, clean house. The description’s omission of any beach supplies is accurate - you’ll have to rent or purchase Furniture a bit more dated than photos suggest, kitchenware needs updating (chipped teflon pots and pans - wound up purchasing our own for the week)

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. We especially loved the outdoor space and found it to be a great spot for a beach weekend. The only downside was the communication during our stay. A maintenance person arrived without prior notice, and later that same day we were asked to quickly move our vehicles so someone could access a golf cart. We went out immediately, but no one was actually there. Both situations felt like unnecessary interruptions during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Overall, we had a good stay, but better communication and more consideration for guests’ privacy would have made the experience much better.

We enjoyed our stay overall and felt the loft was described accurately. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and were able to walk to the majority of the places we wanted to visit. However, there were a couple of issues that impacted our experience. The main concern was the noise. Each morning (except the day we left), we were woken up by loud road construction and noisy neighbors. At this price point, we would expect either a quieter environment or at least a heads-up that construction was taking place nearby and a reduced rate. Another issue to note is the limited garage height. There should be a clear warning about this. We were fortunate to be driving our Escalade, but our truck would not have fit in the garage.

The noise level was extremely high. You can hear all street noise, including road construction out front of the residence, all people in the general vicinity, and the people who live upstairs, we could even hear them sweeping the floor with a broom. The bathroom faucet wasn’t working properly when we arrived on Wednesday night, reported it Thursday morning, plumber didn’t come until Friday, we left Saturday, it was not fixed. We brushed teeth from the bathtub. Check out instructions said throw away trash, but glad I asked because there was a lot of directions to actually do that correctly that were not included. Our money would have been better spent on a hotel.

Super clean and great location! Wouldn’t let us set the AC at night below 70 so would get really hot. Beds weren’t very comfortable.
