LuxeVaca

LuxeVaca's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

I tend to never really leave reviews but after paying this much for a stay and the house not even being clean was EXTREMELY disappointing. Many surfaces such as cabinets, dressers, and corners were unwiped and not clean. Bugs and spiders around the house ESPECIALLY moths when no doors when left open. The water fall features doesn’t work in the pool aswell as its water feature. Many doors in the house have broken locks aswell as the windows having broken turn handles. Yes the place has beautiful views but you would think with the price you’re paying, the simple small things such as cleanliness and modernness would be kept to a high standard. Even faucet handles were missing in the main bedroom and drains in the shower wouldn’t drain out water properly. This was an extremely unpleasant experience from the start, and when sending all pictures and videos to host as feedback, they offered a 5% refund as compensation… out of a $6200 stay. Will not be booking through Luxe again

-furnace pilot light was on in the middle of summer with temps up to 90. We called and sent messages for pilot light to be turned off. After several back and forth messages (some with rude tones) asking for help it was addressed. -beware if booking in the summer. There is no air. And lots of windows without blinds upstairs. And only two fans provided for the whole house -house is very old, dated and in need of maintenance and better upkeep. only half of the burners on the stove worked (not ok if the house is supposed to host up to 10ppl), shower head in one of the bathrooms was broken. Bathroom in the primary suite is entirely carpeted which is disgusting. Blinds missing/broken. Fob for garage door didn’t work. We brought up many of these issues but they were not answered or addressed by hosts -the listing used very obviously ai generated photos that depicted furniture that didn’t exist, decor that was different. Overall very disappointing stay. Would not rebook.

Home was amazing. Worth it for a big group but dont bring more than 2 vehicles is hard. Home holds 13 people. In 2 cars?? Had any appliances you could need. Bbq worked great. Kitchen absolutely beautiful. Great great amenities. They had floats and a kayak and 2 paddle boards and towels for beach. Hit tub is nice. Everything was clean and beautiful. No TVs in some rooms but your at the lake.... Balcony makes mornings so peaceful and sunset at the lake. Omg. Pure beauty. Do not like the check in process. Received so many emails. Asked for baby gates for stairs. Were told they were there. They were not. We door dashed some. Everything else was great. Weirdest office to work with. Too many hands in the cookie jar. Also we cleaned extra good but was asked to do so please remember we pay cleaning fees too. This property was expensive to rent but the home is worth it.

Cozy, comfortable condo with beautiful views. The kitchen had what we needed, though it’s small (best for 1-2 cooks). Be aware the loft is open with little privacy, the downstairs bedroom is tight for two adults, and there’s no in-unit washer/dryer. The condo is cute but could use some updating. Our biggest concern was inaccurate listing/check-in information. The listing shows a pool and hot tub, and the arrival instructions even include the pool gate code, but the pool was still under construction. The Wi-Fi information was also outdated. The listing advertises street parking, yet the arrival instructions say not to park on the street. One evening the lot was completely full despite us having only one vehicle, and there were no instructions on what to do. A few maintenance items also need attention: toilets had flushing issues, some blinds were missing rods, and the balcony railing felt unstable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but updated information and maintenance would make a big d

Do not stay here if you want a relaxing Lake Tahoe vacation. The listing is misleading. The photos make the home look private, but it sits directly on busy Kingsbury Grade. Traffic noise is constant, including trucks all night, and we barely slept. The house is poorly maintained, with broken furniture, damaged window shades, stained carpet, and nonworking lights. There are also safety hazards. The bunk bed nearly collapsed on our son, and there’s an unexpected six-inch drop from the kitchen to the backyard. The backyard offers no privacy. The neighbor’s windows and balcony look directly into the hot tub, and the yard is mostly dirt and weeds. The host ignored repeated messages from both us and Airbnb, then failed to honor a promised partial refund. This was an expensive, frustrating experience. Misleading photos, constant noise, poor maintenance, safety issues, and broken promises make this property impossible to recommend. I do not recommend staying at any Luxe property.

The view is beautiful- the place needs some work . Lights were not working , the house lacks air conditioning in 14/15 rooms , no baking pans - picked over kitchen utensils -internet is slow and railing on decks is dangerously loose .

Pros: - Very spacious home with plenty of room for a large group - Convenient location: about 10 minutes from Safeway and Kings Beach - Plenty of bath and beach towels provided - Well-stocked kitchen with lots of cookware and utensils - Large kitchen counter and dining table, great for group meals and gatherings Cons: - Several of the kitchen outlets were not working. -WiFi worked, but cell reception in the area was limited. - The most notable issue involved the refrigerator. There was a sign indicating it may take 24–36 hours to return to normal operation, which was a bit unclear given our short 2-night stay. When we reached out to the host for clarification, Sarah (one of the co-hosts) was rude and her response felt unhelpful. She said “If you read it the sign explains how to use the refrigerator.”Unfortunately, the refrigerator did not maintain a proper cold temperature during our stay, which affected our ability to store food.

A few things that could have gone better for the price paid: 1. The checkin code they gave was wrong. So I had to call to get in the code. It would have been a problem if I reached late and I had no one to reach out to. 2. The WiFi password given in the checkin instructions was incorrect. Had to figure out looking at some instructions near the kitchen 3. There was no shower gel or soap in any of the bathrooms, there were only shampoos and conditioners.. 4. Didn’t find sugar in the kitchen - this was a basic thing I never had problems with any of the previous Airbnbs I stayed. Rest everything was good.

While the home was spacious enough for our family, the stay was highly disappointing. The property is heavily worn, needs a deep clean, and the listing photos do not accurately reflect its current condition. We encountered numerous maintenance issues: mold in the upstairs shower, a constantly running toilet, broken or unusable bedroom lights, a broken bedroom fan, and a missing faucet handle. Essential filters on the refrigerator and Keurig also needed replacement and many listed amenities were missing. Furthermore, mis-advertised quiet hours restricted our use of the outdoor fire pit. Lastly, there is a bear pads outside the back yard slider and at the bottom of the outside stairs that were not mentioned in the listing. They will shock you if you step on them with bare feet. We were able to unplug them during the day and plug back in at night, but it was stressful with young children.
