Fishing was our goal, so if that’s yours too, this is the place to book. Parking is more than enough even for a large group. “We had a great time! The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything you need. The location of the house is excellent, the terrace offers beautiful views of the lake. The pier is a great place to meet the dawn in silence with a cup of coffee. Check-in and parking near the house did not cause any problems. The hostess was very friendly and responsive, our problem was solved in a few minutes. We really enjoyed our stay here. I would like to stay in this beautiful place, although for a week. I recommend this place .”

“This is the perfect place for a secluded weekend getaway by the lake/forest. You are insulated by the forest and have no neighbors the eye can see. The master bedroom is the whole upstairs floor and the entire house has tall ceilings. Amazing king size bed upstairs and a dual shower system so sharing water is not a problem… we had the best time and I would recommend this one for anyone needing a getaway. The fire pit is a nice touch. The kitchen feels like home. The photos do not do it justice we were pleasantly surprised on arrival. Fantastic hosts all around. Thank you!!”

“We loved our 2nd stay at this property! The access to the lake is very doable. The house is very clean and accommodating. Only one recommendation… swing on dock, but this does not stop us from planning to visit the property again and again! We are already booked again at end of September we have enjoyed it so much! “Fantastic place to stay. Our group of 12 adults spent four nights here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had a fantastic time. The first thing everyone said upon entering the property was “this place is so beautiful.” Everyone had plenty of privacy because of the ample amount of bedrooms. The two different living rooms with lots of couch space were very useful when we wanted to gather to spend time together in the evenings. A highlight of the trip was the amount of equipment for activities, both indoor and outdoor, that the home provides. We entertained ourselves by playing ping pong, basketball, volleyball, and utilizing the kayaks. Lastly, the hosts are extremely responsive and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. They offered early check in and messages multiple times to ensure that the property was to our liking. I would recommend this property to any group visiting Hartwell.”
