Manager Review

Lake Tahoe Accommodations

Lake Tahoe Accommodations's guest rating of 4.57 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Great place to stay. Not far from activities, but far enough for quiet space..

This is one of the nicest locations in the area. Private, quiet, and full of amenities. Would love to come back without hesitation!

Parking was an issue, didn't receive sufficient parking passes, we had to park across the street and check up in our cars though out the day. Also, not sufficient parking spots. We had issues with the lock, every time trying to get in, we had to call customer service for a new code.

The location was great, we spent a good time. However, the house was very cold upon arrival. it would have been better if we were provided enough basic utilities such as: Hand Soap, Shampoo, Body wash and dish soap.

The location was great—peaceful with a private backyard and a small hill. However, the property was not clean. There was pet hair on the bed, and we had to wash all the bedding. The swing in the backyard was not anchored properly and fell when the kids were trying to use it. Luckily, no one got hurt, but it was very scary. There were no clean utensils, and the kitchen cleaning supplies or laundry detergent were not provided.

Unfortunately, our stay with Lake Tahoe Accommodations began with multiple issues. Despite providing frequent ETA updates, communication was poor and we did not receive the access code until an hour after arrival. Basic supplies were lacking — no hand soap, an empty body wash canister, and leftover wrappers in the shower. When we inquired, we were told there was a “welcome kit,” but it only contained dish soap and a sponge. The biggest concern was heating. The listing advertised heating, but the fireplace was nonfunctional and no remote existed as described. Maintenance confirmed it could not be repaired. With freezing temps and pets, this felt like a safety issue. We were offered a property 30 minutes away, then later moved to a better second unit, which we appreciated. However, the disruption required us to cut our ski day short to relocate. We requested partial reimbursement but received no response for the host or opportunity to discuss improvement on processes.

Theres only radiant heating (from floor), it took over 24 hours for the house to heat up to a comfortable and bare-able temperature. They provided two space heaters, which we cannot use at the same time because the power would shut off every time we tried. When presented with this problem (no electricity for over 12 hours overnight), it took until mid next day to “resolve” - did not resolve because we still cannot plug two things at the same time, let alone the heaters. The closest still has dust, rodent poop, and other people clothes. The robes provided were full of hair from previous guests. When we told them about the issues with electricity, they did not care or respond with urgency and make us wait for over 12 hours when it was only 20 degrees outside. When submitted a partial refund they did not even refund a day’s worth. Don’t stay here and get your money’s worth somewhere else.

I really didn't like having to sign a contract beforehand and agreeing to so many things on day one of the reservation. There's this lack of trust feeling. Even though I would never do those things and I ask not at risk if breaking those rules. Everything is clean but the pillows are the worse I have ever had, no neck support like stuff from Walmart. The heating is also really loud and wakes me up at night. The bathroom door is broken and cannot be closed properly. But does the job if it is only a crash pad.
