La Jolla Vacation Rentals

La Jolla Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We really liked the space. And the 2.5 bathrooms was everything with a larger group. We were walkable to enough stuff. Coffee/beach and close to a lot more. Over a mile away is kinda my threshold for “easy back and forth”the outside space was nice and comfy and usable as well.”airbnb

“terrible stay experience. we were 4 adults and two toddlers and the place had one roll of paper towels, uncomfortable furniture, offensively cheap toilet paper that caused more harm than good, and no towels in most of the bathrooms. we found most of everything was low quality: doors that didn't open or shut correctly, a grill that didn't ignite, and hardware that seems like it was picked just because it was the lowest price. the ground plants in the backyard have sharp spines, which other parents should be aware of. the location was great, but the only attempt to make this place the comfort other SD homes give were the Home Goods, tropic-adjacent motivational posters hung up everywhere in the house. Skip this place, San Diego has better”airbnb

“This house is located in a nice part of La Jolla very walkable with beautiful yards! The only thing that could’ve been improved was the light is out on the stairs and there were some ants in the second bedroom.”airbnb

“The view is spectacular. Watching the ocean and the people on the beach were highlights. The carpet in the bedrooms are very dirty and stained and dining table chairs and counter chairs were very stained and dirty. The grill was so corroded we didn’t use it. There wasn’t a garage door opener even though the manual reported where it could be found. For the cost of this rental our family agreed we were expecting a better maintained house.”airbnb

“Three generations (81, 50 and 20 year-olds) came to Ocean Beach to enjoy sun and sand. While we didn't bring a dog, this location is perfect - right across from the famous Dog Beach. Easy to walk to many restaurants/bars. We lived near this location 30 years ago and were surprised at how quiet it was at night. The home was just as pictured. A few things to note: This home has poor sleeping arrangements for older people. The primary bedroom w/king bed is on the third floor w/no bathroom attached resulting in limited privacy and having to use stairs to use bathroom. The second floor has the kitchen/living/dining patio and a very small bathroom. Two bedrooms (one w/a bunk bed, the other a queen) are on the ground floor. There is a little larger bathroom on the main floor. The washer/dryer are in the closet of the queen bedroom and there are no closet hangers. We had a couple of hiccups on parking and a broken coffee maker. Host could have responded quicker.”airbnb

“This is a hard one. Probably worth more than 4* but not a 5*. The photos are accurate yet somehow overdone. We were very surprised to discover that there are no sun chairs on the deck, which is kinda made for sunbathing. You can make do but it seems like the place should have sun loungers. We asked the management company and received a crisp “the property is as found”. But it is very well located for La Jolla.”airbnb

“This was my second time staying here, I booked it again because my first stay was so great! Unfortunately during my stay, the fire alarm was randomly going off. I reached out and was left to figure it out on my own, I had to just put it under a blanket until it eventually stopped, told maintenance could come the next day. They came, and then the following night, the alarm went off again at 2:30am for about 20 minutes and after that, I had a lot of trouble sleeping. I asked for a 1 night refund but they were unresponsive. Overall, the place is very nice and accurate, I really enjoyed it but felt the customer service was overall lacking :( Hopefully they replace the alarm and this doesn't happen in the future.”airbnb

“We had a nice stay overall. The house is comfortable and well-kept, and the location is ideal—just one block from the beach in a relatively quiet area, which we really enjoyed. The only issue we experienced was with the WiFi, which unfortunately didn’t work properly during our entire stay. We reported it, but it wasn’t resolved, and we felt the follow-up could have been better. Other than that, everything was good, and we appreciated the opportunity to stay here.”airbnb

“The area was great, across from Dog Beach. The management company is helpful until you check in. The maintenance person was around everyday lurking. At checkout, that’s when the lurking is worse than a hotel. It is unfortunate as Ocean Beach is a great area we visit often.”airbnb
