4.51Visit website
Hosteeva's guest rating of 4.51 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“You can literally hear EVERYTHING in the next condo. From loud music to chairs/furniture being slid across the floor. Until midnight or later. Told security/nothing! Will never stay here again and will NEVER use Hosteeva again! When I called about the parking arrangements they were clueless. The AI lady ‘EVA’ said there was a $30 per day charge for oversized parking. I had to track down the front desk number and find out from them that there was no charge for parking oversized vehicle. Never again! TV’s in bedrooms never worked. Batteries and covers missing on remotes. This is by far my worst experience with an Airbnb&b unit. Most others have been great. After this nightmare at an overpriced unit I would highly recommend Airbnb remove Hosteeva from their site! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!”airbnb

“For context, this is a split-level home with an upstairs bedroom and a pullout mattress downstairs. My husband and 2 years old slept downstairs while I stayed upstairs with our newborn. As he was walking down the stairs, he suddenly heard the front door unlock. To his shock, a random man and woman began walking into the Airbnb. My husband confronted them, and they responded, “Oh, we didn’t know y’all were still here,” and said they were going to call someone. We immediately contacted Hosteeva. The representative confirmed that we were the authorized guests and that no one else should have had access to the property. The representative then began asking us what the individuals looked like. Considering it was midnight and completely dark, my husband provided the best description he could. The representative stated that he would investigate the situation, call us back, and “make this right” after our checkout at 10:00 a.m. Sunday. It is now 9:00 p.m. Sunday, and we have not heard anything”airbnb

“I was looking for accommodation for a holiday trip with my elderly in-laws and my baby. What we liked about the accommodation was the location; it was very close to a Walmart, which helped us a lot. There was a balcony with a lovely view and beach amenities to make things easier. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something reliable. They didn't keep to our check-in and check-out times, as was supposed to be done on Airbnb. We had support from the platform because they did nothing to resolve the issue. We planned in advance only to arrive and leave in a rush at the last minute. The clothes dryer wasn't working. The cleanliness left much to be desired! We had two days of heavy rain and overcast weather, so we thought we could use the jacuzzi, but we couldn't. They said it was broken and wasn't heating the water. I went with high expectations and came back very frustrated. Terrible organization; I wouldn't return.”airbnb

“The lost itself was amazing however the communication is an automated system and it was terrible. We got locked in the bedroom for a period of time and had to wait for someone to come open the door. Also the bathroom had a terrible smell which had nothing to do with the host but overall I good stay just a few issues”airbnb

“Overall the place is nice and if I couldn’t find a better deal we would stay here again! However, there were some things I was disappointed with given the fact the host is a company with other rentals I expected not so many issues. We had 6 kids with us and were busy so I didn’t not message the host about the issues and just dealt with it. We chose to stay here because it was a more last minute booking looking for something on the cheaper end to fit our large group. The location is great, the pool amazing, the space for 10 people also good, the security especially kind! The issues were the floors were disgusting and unswept or mopped upon arrival. The wash machine kept stalling, just getting stuck on rinse or spin and not finishing. The dishwasher needs updated, dishes just were not coming out clean and had to hand wash a lot. There was quite a bit of staining on the shower ceiling. TVs in the bunk room & living-room didn’t work half the time or couldn’t access certain apps.”airbnb

“Our rental was minimally appointed, lacked charm and just dingy overall. Property maintenance has been neglected everywhere and everything is pretty old, well worn and run down. We removed so much lint from the dryer that it was about the size of a head of lettuce. Appliances were unreliable. Although linens appeared clean, the pillows were old and stained. Our rental was adequate but only worth 2 stars”airbnb

“I have stayed at San Carlos many times, but never with this host. The moment we arrived and got our parking pass we were informed that the pool would be closed our entire stay and that our host was not letting guests know. When I called about this I spoke to a very rude gentleman who made comments such as "is that the only reason you came here?" "I don't know what you want me to do I can't come fix the pool for you". We drove 17 hours with 4 kids so of course we expected a pool, especially with a red flag the entire trip which is typical in the spring. The first 2 days there we ended up with men working on our balcony which was even more inconvenient. I called again and was told we could move (no one wanted to pack up and move when we only had 1 day left). I was then offered a $400 refund, but heard nothing of it again. The water pressure was terrible, pots and pans burnt every meal even with half a can of olive oil, hair in tub...definitely would never use this host again.”airbnb

“The location and view of gulf was excellent. However, the condo is in bad need of repairs and updates. The appliances need replacing and the sofa had a stain. The condo could be very cute but not well maintained. Baseboards were dirty and paint flaking off. Tub was stained from wear and tear.”airbnb

“First, this place is accurately represented by the listing photos. Very clean, spacious, and great ocean view. Now for the bad, the pool was closed due to construction and we were not notified of this by Hosteeva until the day before we were due to check-in. Also, construction on the side of the building began every morning at 9am which did not allow anyone to sleep past that time due to excessive noise.”airbnb
