Host Extraordinaires's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The house itself was nice, plenty of room for our three families, and clean besides a pair of old underwear found. The kids loved the secret rooms and all of the fun things to do on the property. However it is on a busy, noisy road. Not very secluded or private. There were ants in the kitchen, we had to throw some food out that they got into. We noticed a lot of wasps/bees going in and out of the shed so I’m betting there was a nest, we stayed away. The property needed to be mowed, we sent a message to the host and they sent someone right away but then we had to listen to a mower for hours. There are ants everywhere by the pool, they were constantly crawling on us. No slide as pictured. The property could have been maintained a little better, host should spray for pests/insects, make sure the grass is cut, and clean up the landscaping near the pool before guests arrive. Also allow for an earlier check in 4:00 p.m. in and 10:00 a.m out!, Waste of two full days/nights paid for.”airbnb

“We had no WiFi all weekend which forced my husband to leave the Airbnb (and our family/friends) to be able to work from a cafe by himself. We could not watch any TV. We reset the modem three times before contacting host. They only communicated via AI chatbot (doesn’t clearly state it’s AI but my husband works in the AI field & could tell). The AI chat said they’d share with the team and get back to me more than 3 times but never returned with a solution. We contacted Airbnb support which thankfully helped us with a partial refund. We were only able to contact the host/human employee by phone & they were then rude. The host supposedly sent a repairman (while we were gone) to check the WiFi and confirm it was a Comcast outage. Never offered a refund. Also, the AC was frustrating. AC set to 70 but baby monitor said baby’s room was 62 and mine was 67. Struggled to sleep worried about my babies being cold while I was sweating. Great, safe and peaceful location.”airbnb

“WARNING: I strongly recommend avoiding this property. This was one of the worst Airbnb experiences I’ve had. The home has serious cleanliness and safety issues the hosts clearly know about but continue to ignore. The biggest concern is a major leak in the master shower that runs through the floor and leaks directly from the kitchen light fixture below, creating an obvious electrical and structural hazard. The kitchen flooring also shows significant water damage, and parts of the floor feel compromised, as if they could give way. Based on the visible damage, this has clearly been an ongoing issue. Cleanliness was unacceptable as well — we found multiple pubic hairs on the pillow and the property was not properly cleaned before arrival. Communication was handled entirely through AI-generated responses, and despite repeated promises that someone would repair the issue, no one ever came. Very little refund or resolution was offered. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere, avoid hosts.”airbnb

“AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! -Stained furniture -Dirty towels and dishes -URINE STAINED mattresses -Spider and Cobb webs everywhere -Live spiders -BUG INFESTATION on the last night that the “emergency line” REFUSED to assist with We were told by the AI bot that the team would review and compensate for the plethora of cleaning we had to do throughout the stay. The last night we found an absolute INFESTATION of bugs in the upstairs double room, all over the wall and inside one person’s suitcase and belongings. Took all weekend to finally talk to an actual human, not an AI bot, and refused to deal with a health hazard. This place should be properly fumigated and inspected before being rented out again. Absolutely atrocious property management company.”airbnb

“We got to the Airbnb at 2am and there was a large branch in the driveway that we almost didn’t see because there is little to no lighting outside the house. Listing said there is an EV charger but they didn’t mention that it had to be brought to the house and it was only a level one charger that blew a fuse as soon as we plugged it into the outside outlet. The stay is decent, clearly built quickly. The master bedroom door doesn’t close all the way. The master bedroom bed frame is very finicky, The middle legs of the frame kept shifting and we had to fix it every morning. We brought our baby and the host said the pack n play would be set up and ready for us but we get there at 2am, pack n play is not set up so we had to look for it. There was no sheets for it either. Shower curtain is starting to mold. Also if there is any chance you may not make your res Do not book here, they will not give a refund even if you have a legit reason. They do not care”airbnb

“The bedding on the top floor hadn't been cleaned, obviously dirty sheets used to make the beds. We tried washing them ourselves. The washer & dryer didnt work. Found out it was because the outlet needed to be reset. Our guess: the cleaners stopped cleaning when they didn't work anymore & hoped no one would notice the dirty sheets & towels going back on the bed & in the bathrooms. We aren't sure how many other rooms below must have had dirty laundry used again & didn’t want to find out. Rooms had a lot of damages & stains on furniture. Bedroom door couldn't close (broken hinge). We arrived after 12 AM, so the host was unavailable. When we reported the issues to airbnb, they suggested we could cancel (leaving 10 people to search for last minute accommodations) or ask the host for an alternative place to stay. We asked for an alt with the host, but they said there were none available. This host has over 200 locations within Nashville. How incredibly unlikely is that? We canceled & left.”airbnb

“Excellent location with easy travel accommodations. However a few things to note: - Early check in was only available 15 minutes prior to arrival time despite the place being vacant the night before. - Not enough blankets were available for use. - 30 minutes after arrival, maintenance came for a work order that was placed but was NOT communicated with tenants at all. - Washer was broken with NO follow up for maintenance to come fix it during stay. - Multiple items were BROKEN upon arrival: Wallpaper was torn/ripped in several places on wall; Blinds were broken in several areas; Light bulbs were out in downstairs bedroom. - Hot tub was not functioning properly and was not cleaned.”airbnb

“Location was great but unfortunately the space is not well maintained. Dirty kitchen and bathrooms. Confirmed with the host prior to checking in that there was a mattress for the crib, upon arrival there was not. They tried to correct it by sending a mattress pad but it was not a mattress nor the right size for the crib. They would not remediate after that. I bought a mattress and left it at the property in case future guests would like to use it. Construction workers also showed up randomly one day, stopped working halfway and left tiles in the backyard and dug a long ditch in the front. Front yard was also under maintenance and was not disclosed to us before arrival. Also trails of ants throughout the house. Bunk beds were missing a part so the top parts of the bunks have pointy edges sticking out of them. Unfortunately, communication wasn’t great. Felt like I was speaking with a robot the entire time.”airbnb

“Cockroach infested, no working air conditioning and no hot water! Absolutely disgusting. The host was not helpful as we contacted them throughout our stay. They offered a 30% refund, which was laughable. We took pictures of cockroaches crawling in our beds, in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The host did not care. They string you along throughout your stay, then say, ‘You completed your stay, so we are not able to give a full refund.’ It was beyond disgusting. When we messaged the host, they closed our account and passed us off to Airbnb. I wouldn’t say here in the future if they paid me.”airbnb
