HoliStays Disney's guest rating of 4.53 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Airbnb showed the place available and allowed the booking as well as took our money. Yet after checkin time the host cancelled the reservation saying the place was in maintenance mode. He then did not reply nor formally cancel the reservation to kick off a refund. Had to contact Airbnb support to get the refund. Even they said he was not responding to them. Would be very careful booking this property and from this host.”airbnb

“We really enjoyed our stay! The home is beautiful, spacious, and had more than enough room and bathrooms for our group. My only suggestion would be to provide a little more detail in the listing about the household supplies that are included. We assumed face towels would be provided, but unfortunately there weren’t any when we arrived. Since we got in late, we couldn’t pick any up until the next day. Thankfully we had brought a few from home, but our other guests had to use the larger bath towels instead. Same as trash bags really wished he provided maybe 2 more just because it was a longer stay. We also had a small issue with the grill not working. After notifying the host, he was responsive at first, but once we discussed a refund, communication became difficult, and after three days I had to go through Airbnb customer support to have the refund processed. Other than those minor issues, we had a great stay.”airbnb

“We asked for the check in instructions and door code 4 days before our check in because we were driving and unsure if we would have good cell service once we were on the road. We were told that they would not give us check in instructions or codes until 2 days before our stay. 2 days came and went with no instructions sent. 1 day before check in, I messaged asking for the instructions again. My message was read but no response was given. On the day of check in, I contacted them again asking for check in information. 6 hours before check in, they messaged me claiming there was a maintenance issue and they needed to cancel our entire 8 day reservation. We had 5 families flying in that day and 2 driving and they pulled our reservation with absolutely no notice. We were all stranded states away from our homes (most of us with young children) and no additional help or explanation from the host. The host refused to respond after they canceled our reservation. 0 stars!!!”airbnb

“This place seems like a scam. The host was very unresponsive and also said the early check in status wouldn’t be available until the day of. The host canceled on us 5 hours before check in and when I already arrived to Miami so I reported it to Airbnb. They supposedly had unforeseen conditions happen at their place and couldn’t host me. This can be true or not but this is the first time this ever happened to me with Airbnb so I don’t really buy it. Airbnb luckily refunded me but honestly it was such a waste of my time and energy dealing with this situation.”airbnb

“We had a big group, so booked two units from this host. Everything was fine until 25 hours before checking in. He cancelled first unit, saying water leaking. Fine, it happens. So I booked the third unit from him to replace the first unit. Then it turned to be very weird. He didn't answer phone call. I texted to ask for checking in instructions. No response. 23 hours before checking in, he cancelled the second unit, no reason, no explanation, and no response to my questions. Even more, he remained silent when I asked for checking in instructions for the third unit. Until 6 hours before checking in, I still heard nothing from him regarding the third unit. I had to call airbnb multiple times to cancel the third unit. It was a total disaster. If I still see this host doing business on airbnb, I won't use airbnb. Totally not trustable.”airbnb

“I will start by saying, Storey Lake is a great location, but I would never book with Matteus or Holistays Disney ever again. He sent me a message the day of check in telling me the original house we booked had a leak and we couldn’t stay there. He gave us the option of another house in Storey Lake or a refund. We had no choice to take the house he offered because we were literally on our way. Turns out he lied to us - there was never a leak. The original house is for sale and they had an open house that weekend. He purposely waited to the day of check in to do this knowing we’d have no choice but to accept his other property so they wouldn’t lose the rental. I would have never chose the house offered. We had adults sleeping on couches because the bunks were so uncomfortable. This is exactly why I never book houses with bunk beds. Tried working with Airbnb support for some sort of refund, but they told me he was within his rights. So I guess they’re ok with hosts lying to customers.”airbnb

“Disappointment is an understatement!!! Pissed off is an understatement!!! Approximately 2 hours before check in, on the direct route to the house, we were notified our reservation was canceled by the host. How inconsiderate, rude, and disrespectful to 8 family members who flew in and the remaining 10 that drove from various places. With a terrible migraine, I had to scramble to find another location that was approximately $900 more, of course unplanned, and cost my immediate family’s trip to Disney. We also missed our prepaid dinner reservation assuming a 4p check in for a 7p dinner, which cost another nearly $1,000. Of course, we missed it having to wait for the cleaning crew of the new location. Matteus was very responsive at first, but eventually stopped when requesting early check in. Overall this was the worse experience EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT Book with this man at any cost! What was months of planning for a peace of mind was completely destroyed.”airbnb
