The beach was amazing. The house itself was a net negative- dirty and uncared for. Doors don’t close (warped); carpets smell; crusty spots on sheets; filthy patio furniture. It was very expensive of a rental for the condition it was in.

Every flat surface was dirty, sandy, or crumby, SO MANY indoor cobwebs. The sauna did not work. In the photos it looks like a clear path to the beach but it’s mostly brush with a root pathway and not maintained. The worst was the water, the stench of it was nearly unbearable and 10 days later both my husband and I are still treating the rashes we most definitely got from the shower water. The bed and toilet were clean so after an 8 hour drive we stayed but for the price we paid I could have been in any 5 star hotel and that’s really disappointing.

This review is for future renters so they can plan accordingly, because this site is misleading. This place has the potential for a 5 star review however, When we arrived in the U.P. , it was requested that we push the check-in time an hour later. This is important to note not because of the change but because of what we found when we did check-in. Around 7, when we walked in, the bunk bed room was horrific. The carpet had an excess of stains across the room. On the floor were a few candy pieces. The bed sheet, when we pulled the blanket back, had hair in it and a white substance stuck to the side. there were ants yes but we counted upwards of thirty of them. left less than 2 rolls of tp for 8 people and less than one roll of paper towel with no spares. We had to purchase more tp as well as paper towel and sheets. Also, an alarm went off at 3AM for no reason-woke the entire house..stayed on for 5-10 minutes.

The best parts of this place is the location and the pool/hot tub combo. The rest of the house is underwhelming, especially for the steep premium paid. The house is in need of some major maintenance and upkeep. For example, there are rooms where the door paint and wall paint is chipping. The umbrella on the patio is broken. There’s weeds growing out of the pool patio. Also, during our stay, we had water in the basement and nobody came out. There is construction next-door, which doesn’t give a nice view and early morning noise.

We genuinely loved the property and had a great time, but unfortunately there were several issues future guests should know about. The cooking pans were extremely greasy, we found a mouse nest/droppings in a cabinet, towels smelled musty, and there were plumbing issues: very low water pressure in one cabin and a toilet that wouldn’t flush in the other. When management came to fix it, they flooded the bathroom. The most serious issue was the fire pit. It was positioned directly beside a wooden deck with very little separation. We did not move it and used it as provided. The fire was reduced embers before bed, yet the deck caught fire overnight while we were sleeping. Thankfully no one was hurt. Even more concerning, when we notified management, no one asked if anyone was okay or injured. We also had to dispute damage charges for items that weren’t damaged or weren’t even present. Take extensive photos/videos of everything when you arrive. Despite everything, we loved the property.

This place was beautiful, but we definitely had some issues. The main one being that the WiFi is bare-minimum and if you have any documents to upload or video calls for work, you need to find a different place to stay. I had to cancel two work meetings and delay sending documents until I got home because the WiFi just couldn’t handle it. The second issue was mouse poop in the corners. With toddlers, this was especially anxiety inducing. The third issue was neighbor children and dogs wandering onto the property. Not the hosts fault, but something to note if you’re afraid of dogs or wanting privacy. The last issue was being subjected to a political agenda during the stay because the hosts have decks of cards where Trump is “king”, and they say “end the wokeness”. This made me uncomfortable. Everyone has the right to their beliefs, but if it’s going to be present during my stay, it should be mentioned in the listing so I’m not surprised and can make an informed decision when booking

Overall it was nice! The house was big enough to accommodate our large group. It was not cleaned very thoroughly though. There were hairs in both of the showers and mouse droppings in some kitchen drawers as well as small things like spider/cob webs. Other than the housekeeping it was a nice place. The large garage worked really well for our transit van and it was nice and private.

Location was easy to find, and house was cleaned well. It took about an hour from the time we arrived until the host was able to get the front entry's electronic deadbolt working properly. Interior furnishings were ok, but gave the impression of deferred maintenance. I.e. bathroom towels were poor quality and starting to unravel, and one of the other exterior doors had a manual deadbolt that couldn't be locked. Someone from the host company came to look at it but was unable to fix it; this did not get resolved during our 5 day stay. Proximity to the river's edge is not accurately represented in the listing. It may be "a two minute walk," but the implication that one could easily get kayaks to the water is misleading. The listing includes plenty of photos of the property, but conspicuously excludes any photos that would properly portray the separation between house and river. Overall the stay was just ok. Not a good value for the money, and we wouldn't stay here again.

I have faced a few issues. Firstly they said they had a 24hr customer service but they don't. Next the place was pretty hard to find. The was a small dumpster like thing in the cabin it smelled like what not. Apart from these all other things were good.
