“Very nice for a little get a way. It was about 30 miles from Mackinaw City but a beautiful drive and nice once we got there. Only concern was the tv/internet was sporadic. We should have called the after hours number but didn’t really need it until our last day when it rained. Only missed a few of the soccer teams.”

“The place is gorgeous and there are many great things about it but... the cleaning done was not that great. There were hairs (people and dog) and cobwebs all over. They say it is a sandy beach, and it does have a sand bank (good for the kiddos build castles and such), but they DO NEED water shoes. The water is chilly, but my girls wanted to go in (and did a couple of times), but constantly complained about the rocky shore and the rocky path once inside the water. Finally, the hot tub was not truly clean. There was dirt at the bottom, and a lot of stuff fall in from the trees above, but there is no skimmer. =/”

“This beach house is steps from the water, with great views, and seating areas both inside and outside that take full advantage of the beach and Lake Michigan. We did not use the 2nd floor, and the 1st floor was a bit cramped with the bedroom separated by curtains from the living room. We found this workable, as we picked the house for the views and the beach. The screened porch was great, during the day it was our living room. Kitchen set-up was fine. The house was clean although the windows and screens need attention as respects the screens and cleaning, as opening certain windows would let bugs in due to the screens. Nice selection of beach toys and kayaks, although we did not use them. The driveway into the house needs some trimming of the shrubs, as they rub right up against the car.”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was convenient for attending conference at Crystal Mountain resort. Easy parking and within walking distance of the restaurant and pro shop, etc.”

“Overall our stay was okay, but for the price we paid I expected much more. The biggest disappointment was the water. It had a very strong odor that made showering unpleasant. We have well water/septic system at home, so I’m familiar with it, and this was far beyond what I would consider normal. The property could really benefit from a water softener or water treatment system. The cabin itself felt extremely outdated. The walls were dirty in several places, and there was a noticeable musty, damp smell throughout the interior, mouse poop under the sink. There were definitely some highlights. The secluded private beach was absolutely beautiful and ended up being the best part of our stay—it made the trip worthwhile. The sauna was another great feature, and the location was quiet, private, and peaceful. With some updates and better attention to the water quality and cleanliness, this could be an amazing place to stay. As it stands, I just don’t feel it offered the value I expected.”

“The house is great and adequately described. The large patio is nice and a great spot to spend the evenings. Only downside was the yard has not been maintained for some time and the grass was knee high for the duration of our stay. Not a big deal - but you do need to walk through the yard to make it to the beach so it would be nice if it was mowed.”
