“A real bare-minimum vibe. The location was a great, close to everything without paying beach-front prices. However, we double-checked the listing and there is no disclosure regarding the [roughly] five flights of stairs. Luckily we aren't handicapped, but my wife has bad knees so having this information prior to booking would've been nice. There is a picture of the exterior, but it doesn't exactly say you'll be climbing all the stairs in the photo. 😅 Another unfortunate finding - the listing boasts about comfortability and has some of the worst furniture we have ever encountered. The couch felt like it was going to fall apart while poking us with springs. The bed was cheap with a stained comforter, and was a size too small for the bed. Overall we enjoyed our visit to Edisto, but we wouldn't stay here again. While we did have everything we needed, we felt it lacked thoughtfulness and comfort.”

“Communications were not up to standards with Dwell. The issues began when I was told I had to pick up our key after 4:00pm. I emailed the host and requested an early key pickup due the planned time of arrival and our plans to spend the day boating prior to moving into our unit. The hosts didn't respond to my initial message but the second email got a reply that I could pickup the key early but I'd need to wait until I received a text b 4 moving in. That's not what happened. The two young girls running the checkin office refused to give me a key even after reading the host's email. It became obvious that Dwell intended to dictate the itinerary of our first day of the trip. After considerable argument with the two inexperienced agents it was determined that they could leave a key in the drop box and text me the code once the unit was ready. Dwell treated us like cattle, I left a VM msg B 4 Lvng hm that went unreturned. A pro staff would have already left the key in the lockbox. Dwl faild”

“Condo is nice and quiet. Great location! Great local restaurants! It was more than a 10 minute walk from the condo to Coligny Beach if you’re planning to take chair and umbrellas. I suggest you drive. Also, they only left 1 wash cloth, 1 towel and 1 hand towel per person for a 3 night stay.”

“The location was wonderful. The size of the living space and kitchen was great for big gatherings. However, the entire house needs maintenance and a deep cleaning. Sheets were very sandy in every room. Cobwebs in the corners and on the walls. Mildew smell from dishwasher and washing machine. Garbage disposal was backed up and smelly. I don’t think the floors were cleaned because our feet were filthy almost immediately after getting settled. The kitchen drawers, around the microwave, and the oven drawer where the one pan was located had food and crumbs. Outdoor shower is broken and only one water hose worked. Like I said location was great, house has potential but needs a great deal of work and cleaning. It’s also for sale so people stopped by a couple of times to look at it.”

“Excellent location, a few blocks from the beach. Good communication, though I only got the door code 5 minutes before check-in. What if there was an delay with messages? Overall, the unit was good, but difficult to get restful sleep in. The walls apparently don't have insulation, so noises are a big issue. For whatever reason, there is an AC condenser on the balcony, so sitting out there to enjoy yourself is hot and noisy. It's also right next to the bedroom wall, which wakes you up every time it starts up. If it really needs to be there, a heat pump would be much quieter. The bed was squeaky and uncomfortable, and the pillows were old and flat. I let Dwell know about several issues with the apartment, but there was no effort to remedy the concerns while we stayed. All in all, I would not stay here again.”

“It was an alright stay. To begin with, the good about my stay: I like the location, it was pretty. When we had an issue with a clogged shower drain, maintenance showed up quickly the next morning, which was really great. The space was cute overall. That being said, attention to detail was not on point. There was dirt on one of the beds, and stains or pet hair on every blanket provided(though sheets were okay). A few storage chests provided had broken drawers that would come loose. The balcony was a bit of a mess, and the railing cover on the stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom was not fit properly, which could be a hazard. The day before our last day, maintenance came in while we were sleeping. They seemed just as confused as we were, and agreed to come back post checkout. I was very disappointed by the lack of communication. On the same note, we attempted to ask for a late checkout and reaching the office was impossible. Overall, the area was beautiful but I wouldn’t stay again.”

“We had undisclosed construction during our entire stay and their customer service was terrible.”

“Great stay overall, but check-in was confusing. The instructions said to pick up a physical key, but at the pick-up location we were told it might be a key code or lockbox, and the office couldn’t confirm which. The key code worked, but the process was unclear. We also requested early check-in and were told it could be arranged, but didn’t receive an update, when we followed up an hour before regular check-in, in person, we learned it had been ready and they forgot to notify us.”

“If your looking for a place that has a clean pool (debris everywhere) and nails or sewing needle left in the couch . Then this is your place ! Outside of rude management team that shows up during your stay just to say they came to “try and help” Never actually fixed grill . So much more ……. Unsafe environment for kids if they continue to let their previous guest leave unsafe items on couches”
