Coastal Shore Vacations

Coastal Shore Vacations's guest rating of 4.66 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The location was nice, but unfortunately we had a couple of major issues during our stay. The AC reached around 80° every night, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. We were also surprised to find that guests are expected to haul their own trash away, yet there is no outside trash can provided. This was inconvenient, especially at the end of a stay. Overall, the property had potential, but the AC issue and trash situation really took away from our experience.

The property was gorgeous & very scenic. We loved how it was decorated and designed. We were comfortable and enjoyed the views and the quiet Other reviews mentioned a few things we also had issues with + a few other small things: - Address isn’t correct depending on what app you use. Depending on where you open the address, you get different results. Apple Maps is accurate - There were no paper towels, just FYI - The listing doesn’t say where the kayaks and SUP are— apparently in the shed of one of the other properties. Not sure if there was a second kayak elsewhere but it seems like one canoe, one kayak, one SUP from what we saw - Host takes a long time to respond. I had to ask for checkout instructions. Part of which was throwing the trash in the bins in the shed attached to the other property we weren’t renting - Code for entry wasn’t given to me until ~15 minutes AFTER check-in time Overall we had a nice stay and the place is gorgeous. Just items to know before booking

Extremely disappointing stay. We booked this home after specifically searching for accommodations for two adults, a toddler, and a baby, but it was not suitable for a family with young children. The listing advertised three bedrooms, but the upstairs was more like a connected loft with little privacy, and this layout was not shown in the photos. One bedroom had no AC, and while the host brought a second window unit, both were extremely loud and the upstairs remained very uncomfortable. The narrow, steep staircase was unsafe for carrying a baby and managing a toddler, and one sleeping area opened directly to the stairs, forcing us to block it with furniture. The beds were also so uncomfortable that we drove to the nearest city to buy mattress pads just to sleep. We requested a refund immediately after arriving due to the safety concerns and misleading layout, but our request was declined. Had these details been accurately disclosed, we never would have booked this property.

Beautiful home and views. Approx 10 minute drive to town, 20 minute drive to beach. Overall our stay was great but there were a lot of small things wrong - kitchen appliance handles falling off, beds not premade for guests arrival, no paper towels provided and only one toilet paper roll per bathroom, etc.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful and most of the pictures are what you expect. We felt that the house could’ve been a bit cleaner. We also noticed an umbrella for the patio in the listing but it wasn’t there. This would’ve been helpful and more comfortable for us as we sat back there as it gets very hot. Also, the binder that was left and the communication with the rental agency had conflicting directions for check out procedures. Beach Betties is a cute cottage with a beautiful view!

The stay was great yet we had a bit of trouble getting into the house. We didn’t receive our information for check in until well after 4pm. Then the code only worked for the back door. Not a big deal since we didn’t arrive until after 5. Other than that it was very enjoyable. Quiet little neighborhood right by the bay. Very comfortable home with great furniture. Very spacious for our 2 family crew. I would stay there again for sure.

Overall we had a great time. Couple things: 1) the door code didn't work so we ended up standing outside getting eaten by mosquitos while we waited for a call back to troubleshoot. 2) grossly overpriced! The place is tiny (located next to a cemetery), the TVs hardly work, the yard is small...in no way should it have been as expensive as it was, on a non-holiday weekend. Our bed wasn't made, the sheets and linens were sitting on the bed in a plastic bag. Oh. And the only roll of toilet paper was half used, with no extra roll anywhere in the house. Having to supply my own TP was unfortunate. Again, the place was just fine, but it was a bit of a disappointment for the reasons listed above. Wouldn't stay again.

Stayed in this place a few years ago with previous owners and it was great. Came down for a fishing weekend and was met with an ant infestation however remaining of unit was clean and nice. One of the evenings loud neighbors below on motorcycles and large amount of them coming in after midnight. Loud music. Was concerned about our property (boat and truck) so had to leave in the middle of the night. Would not rent again unless more clear vetting process of lower unit. When I tried to contact their office they said they would “get back to me” which they did not. Only stayed one of 3 nights and had to find alternative housing. Also there were no actual pans or pots that could be used in the oven available.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay! The house was quant and homey. There were lots of seating options, especially with the second living room. The beds were comfortable, and all spaces were clean. We enjoyed the close proximity to Main Street, where there are restaurants and shops, and the bay, of coarse! Bring paper towels and extra toilet paper, as the former ran out rather quickly and there was no extra, and the latter was absent from the home.

This was an awful experience from start to finish. The property was filthy, with bugs and ants crawling all over the place. The listing was also completely misleading because the pool was advertised, yet it was closed until after Memorial Day with no warning at all. Housekeeping was unacceptable, customer service was even worse, and to make matters worse, they never even sent check-in instructions. For a large company, this level of disorganization and lack of care is inexcusable. I would absolutely not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
