“We had a nice stay overall, but it's really about 35 minutes from door to Assateague sand (25 to Chincoteague). The linens were pretty cheap, prison-issue quality, but the house itself was clean and in good shape, and we really enjoyed the screened-in porch. Everything worked -- washer, dishwasher, TV, and seemed in pretty good repair. The Captain's Cove complex itself was a little bit disappointing -- the larger and nicer outdoor pool (the kid friendly one according to staff) is closed until next year and it's $15/day to access the little gym, indoor pool, and smaller tiki bar pool. The restaurant was fine, fairly typical for the area and we had no trouble getting a table. My son very much enjoyed the playground. Overall, it was pretty pleasant stay but we'll probably look for something a little closer to the beach next time.”
