Cascade Vacation Rentals
4.76Visit website
Cascade Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Beautiful place, lovely location. Do not get there early. We arrived around 3:45 after a 5 hour drive coming in hot with a wife that had to pee and the lock would not let us in until 4:00 on the nose. Not an ideal start to the stay, but the location more than made up for it.”airbnb

“Lovely location and incredibly walkable to downtown area. Down the street from a grocery store, which was helpful! Wish I had paid more attention and saw that there was no shampoo/conditioner and that we had to take our trash with us when we left. Beautiful open spaces for our family to play games and LOVE that it was pet friendly.”airbnb

“The location can’t be beat — it’s close to the lake, restaurants and shops. The only thing missing is some of the details and niceties that one might expect for the price — no spices, cooking oils, cooking spray, salt, pepper etc and no shampoo, body wash etc. Are provided. The beds are not super comfortable. There are not a lot of towels provided. It’s a great place and I’d love to return!”airbnb

“Nice location with convenient parking. No shampoo in bathroom and the Keurig had three decaf and lots of tea.”airbnb

“Beautiful view & utilitarian stay. I wouldn’t recommend, stay or use anything related to this owner or rental service again. If you want to be challenged, watched over by management & spied on by neighbors - you won’t mind it for the view. Extremely intrusive stay (they make you sign an indemnity) and establishment. I also was given issue about my task trained service animal who accompanies for medical emergency - airbnb was not helpful on this either which is rare. Martha from Cascade was pleasant.”airbnb

“The lake house was exactly as described, and the view of Lake Superior was absolutely amazing. It was quiet, relaxing, and the kind of place where you can truly unwind. We also really enjoyed the whole-house audio system—it was exceptional to use with AirPlay. My only complaint is the garbage situation. Having to haul our trash into a dumpster in town was absolutely ridiculous given the price point. Other than that, we had a great stay and would consider returning.”airbnb

“This was a beautiful spot. Highly recommend for a peaceful and nature-focused getaway. Minor complaint---hair in shower and a little grit still on floor.”airbnb

“I was aware of the location and that's why I booked the place. Its been few years since we went up there. Accommodation was good and clean. View was great from the windows but few issues. No Extra bedding was provided for the number of guests. Lots of mosquitoes when we entered. If they spray it before guests arrive that would have helped. We planned that we will eat dinners at the main cabin that we have visited few times in the past years but was not informed that it was burned down (that was a big disappointment) . Every entry way to the water and beach was closed. Grills were outside a different building. We felt lonely in a resort as we were the only ones. Again inside the house was good, view was great, parking was good, it was clean, extra towels were there but info about the current situation of the resort should have been communicated. Not everyone looks at the news and we were there because of good memories but instead was heart broken to see a closed resort .”airbnb

“Although I love the cabins Cascade manages (we have stayed at 2 now) I really feel not only treated like a child in terms of threatening continuous messages of what I must and must not do (once before and a list in the cabin should be plenty), but incredibly frustrated by their “we are only available during business hours” and as if it’s my fault “there is only one staff on call after hours so YOU need to wait and YOU need to be patient.” Fine, but it’s Northern MN, freezing in the winter, pitch black at 4:30 pm and to top it off you gave instructions for a lock box on a “post”, which ended up have nothing to do with getting in to the place and did not open at all. Of course no one to help us, but fortunately my husband saw the actual inner door to the cabin had a key pad on it and tried that - this worked. Leave OUT the lock box info!!! Also be a lot more clear on where to leave the garbage and don’t threaten huge fees for every little thing.”airbnb
