BonHom's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Great stay in this beautiful and relaxing home in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The home fitted our family of 9 perfectly and was very short distance from beach access. Included the basic necessities and gorgeous kitchen with all the cooking equipment and appliances.”airbnb

“Where do I start, The first half of our stay was wonderful! Early check in, great amenities, beautiful views! Then it all turned for the worse. Three days into our stay the batteries on the keypad died. We thought we just typed in the code wrong. NOPE DEAD. We messaged the host and told them we were locked out. It had been over an hour before a response. Three hours into being locked out in the blistering sun, still no response. We called all the numbers listed on Airbnb and no one could help us. Finally my brother found a number on google and they helped us 4 HOURS LATER!! We were stranded from 9-2 in our bathing suits in the sun until they reset the lock. They promised to refund us some money but never did. Then we went to wash clothes. The washer wouldn’t drain, then after 4 drain and spin cycles it did, water all over the floor and soaking wet clothes later. We loved Main Sail but would not stay with this host again after we lost a whole day of vacation due to being locked out.”airbnb

“The location was great, and the unit was spacious. Everything Rosemary Beach has to offer was within easy walking distance. The unit could use a deep cleaning, as there was mold growing in the vent above the stove. My main complaint was the poor communication. On our second day, we discovered the freezer wasn’t working and our food had thawed. Problems happen, so this normally wouldn’t have been a big deal. We messaged right away and received a quick response asking us to troubleshoot. When that didn’t work, we were told someone would come out. Unfortunately, no one ever came, and there was no further communication. I brought it up again on our last day. Overall, the location and space were great, but the lack of follow-through was disappointing. Hopefully the freezer and cleaning issues are addressed for the next guest.”airbnb

“Nice place, and great location to the beach. However, it said two beds but only had one”airbnb

“Broken rocking chair, excessive mold in shower and toilet room ceiling. Clumps of hair on shower wall and clubhouse pool shut down and we weren't notified prior or during the repair process. Couldn't use the pool at all which is the main reason we booked this place. No discount offered from host. Asked for earlier check in because we paid for the full day but couldn't use until 4pm and if the house was clean I wouldn't have minded but it was definitely not clean. No vacuum or broom offered and when I asked where it was they said "check the closets". Wow I wouldn't have thought to do that......... So needless to say we had sand everywhere the entire week.”airbnb

“Doors to patio difficult to lock and unlock; dining chair broke causing me injury; cheapest possible appliances; pool floor damaged, dirty and slippery. Not good for anyone with walking challenges: disability. Pool filled with loud rambunctious unsupervised kids. Not relaxing. No view of bay or ocean. Mattress very firm. If you like firm you’ll like it. Parking garage tight and difficult to navigate and jam packed.”airbnb

“I asked about body wash and shampoo and was told it was in the condo, but literally the body wash was enough for half of a person and the shampoo was for one shampoo. These were too small to say available in the condo. I was told the coffee maker needed cone filters and that was wrong. People need to know if the icemaker is not working. nine family members in this condo to have only two detergent packets. People need to be told they need to bring their own detergent. The couch several stains and needs to be cleaned or new couch for this kind of money to rent.”airbnb

“Check in is at 4:00. We did not get into unit until almost 10 pm. The code to the door was incorrect and The Bonhom host contact never answered the calls. i called airbnb which was a nightmare. i was on the phone for hours. No one ever called to give us the new code. Finally i received an email at 9 pm with the code which i just happened upon when i was pulling up the reservation to see if there was any more contact information. I requested a refund for the night which i never received. i would not recommend this property to rent nor would i ever rent from anything Bonhom represents. i talked with a Bon hom rep the day after all this happen. he was rude and threatening. worst travele experience ever. the house also stunk of fish which never left during our stay. Also no working ligths outside the unit so very difficult at night to access door combo.”airbnb

“The place itself, an easy 4 star. I graded it down because the management company (whilst responsive) are prone to inaction. Upon check-in we were given an incorrect door code. We had to call Airbnb support because the host wasn’t answering. The next day I sent a list of concerns to the property manager. Undeclared maintenance ongoing at the building, toilet roll holder was on the ground, there was a hole in the front door that posed a significant privacy/security risk, TV was mounted off kilter to about 15°, etc. the response was along the lines of “sorry not sorry” and nothing was rectified during our stay. After leaving we realized we left a few items and requested them to be shipped back. 2 weeks later and we still don’t have them after repeated “I’ll check with the team” from the management representative. The place itself has so much potential and I would’ve stayed here again, but I’m not sure it’s worth dealing with the poor quality of care on the other side at this price.”airbnb

“Overall, a pleasant stay in a safe, central location in Rosemary Beach. We enjoyed the nice, quiet space in this condo. The space was thoughtfully furnished with a kitchen stocked with dish-ware and cooking utensils. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and passes are also provided along with beach towels. The cons: the check in process was not smooth, and would not recommend arriving early in hopes of checking in before 4pm. The door code will appear at 4pm sharp in the guidebook on a separate website managed by the rental. The communication from the rental unit was not very timely when we had questions throughout the stay. Checkout is on the earlier side (10am) and there are a few tasks expected of guests to self-clean. Trash takeout instructions could be clearer. One note for other guests: the twin bunk bedroom is more of a converted closet - it doesn’t have any windows or a full latching door.”airbnb
