Bethany Beach Home Rentals

Bethany Beach Home Rentals's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The property is very accommodating for approx 4 guests and 2 children. The surrounding properties are very close - adjoining backyards (not much room for privacy). The pool is a community pool requiring a stiff fee. The people in the community are extremely nice and the locale is very close to all the going-ons in Ocean City.”

“Positive-The community is beautiful, and the home offered several great amenities, including games, bikes for guests to use, and beach chairs and umbrellas. Unfortunately, issues that made our stay less enjoyable, far too many mosquitoes that tore into ur skin which made it difficult to use either the screened-in patio or the open patio. I also don’t feel the home comfortably accommodates 14 people. It may work if everyone is like being in close quarters, but for a large group, the space felt very tight. The shared bathroom on 2nd floor tub leaked into the kitchen area, causing the kitchen lights to stop working. A plumber eventually came and had to remove two of the lights so that the remaining lights would function, but ceiling was left unfinished for the remainder of our stay. Communication was a concern. Host couldn’t be reached easily, and slow to respond. repeatedly dealing with maintenance issues during our stay was frustrating & this affected our experience significantly”

“Terrible communication and unfriendly. Our adult family of 8 arrived by 4 Pm. My SIL stayed in a completely different location because she had a dog that was not allowed. Within an hour of arrival, I went to the community clubhouse for about 20 mins. In that time, my SIL arrived at our place with her dog to say HI. She did not come in the house, she went around the back. A neighbor complained to Steve and he showed up just before I did and parked in the driveway so I couldn’t. I didn’t know who he was, he didn’t introduce himself until I did. He instantly said the dog was not welcome and had to leave immediately. We made them leave. I asked a question before the trip that he never responded to and one about towels on the first day. He didn’t respond to until the last day. We felt like we were being watched the whole time by the neighbors, we felt the staff were rude, extras were very expensive. We didn’t enjoy our stay. House was lovely though.”

“This property was big enough for our group of 10. There was ample sitting and hangout space for us all and I was pleased with that. There is a clubhouse and pool- however it is NOT included in rental fee and it is quite expensive in my opinion ($1k for 10 people for 6 days (Sat are for owners exclusively most of the day). I did not appreciate being cursed out by other “owners” while walking around the property. Being referred to as “fu**ing renters” was not how I expected to end my evening. Access to major road ways and plenty of places to visit and things to do was super close to this property. I would consider renting here again, however make sure you are aware that the owner is not responsible for your renting, the club itself is and you have to go thru/deal with them as well. Also sheets and towels are additional rentals with a separate company fee as well.”

“screened in porch a disappointment: wood chairs very uncomfortable; very small table, inadequate lighting, light socket didn't work; found lot of dust around the place; the ceiling fans were dirty; many light bulbs burned out; garage was very messy and dirty; we have rented from you before and generally had no major issues this week, as stated above, we found the house lacking paige”

“The house and community are beautiful and its layout was perfect for our extended family. The pools, slide, and hot tub were big hits with the kids, and were particularly welcome on days when the weather was less than ideal. I was, however, surprised by the lack of communication when we encountered some issues with the house. Nothing that spoiled our stay, but I was disappointed.”

“We’ve stayed at Bayside before and loved it. Steve’s place was spacious and clean and had all we needed. It felt very family friendly. We really appreciated some of the kid friendly things like the high chair. I think for the cost, they ask quite a bit of guests: bringing your own linens, taking out the trash, most of the clean up at the end of the stay. Also, multiple point persons for different issues (check-in, resort questions/passes, check-out) was a little annoying. I’d prefer one person to communicate with for everything via air bnb and not receiving multiple emails from different contacts. Overall a great stay, but for the price, I’d probably look into a stay where all the work and amenities are included in the price.”

“I am not happy with the linen service being separate and the house has a pet smell that doesn’t go away. Overall the house view is great!”

“We had a great stay overall and would definitely return. The home is beautiful, spacious, and in a great Bayside location, about a 15-minute walk to 38 Degrees and the beach. The kitchen is gorgeous, the furniture and beds were comfortable, and we loved the two screened porches and downstairs movie room. The Pack ’n Play, bikes, and beach gear were thoughtful extras. A few things to be aware of: -We didn’t feel the $300 linen package was worth it. While everything was clean, the towels and sheets were very basic, and you still have to make the beds on arrival and strip them at checkout. -The main Sunridge pool is also nearly 2 miles away, so plan to drive or bike. -Cleaning could use a little more attention—upon arrival we found candy in a dresser, an open SunnyD bottle in a bunk bed, a child’s blanket in the trundle, and the washer/dryer and laundry room were covered in sand.”

“I believe the service should be improved. All towels and bedding should be included in the base price, and the bedding should be fully installed on every bed prior to arrival. This would provide a more complete and comfortable experience for guests.”
