“I booked a 2.5-week stay and communicated with David for weeks beforehand. He was responsive and friendly, but that changed when a serious problem arose. After the first night, the toilet stopped working completely, and the shower and sinks had almost no water pressure. I notified David before 8am. Instead of treating this as urgent, he replied, “I am so sorry to hear that! Please keep me posted.” The toilet literally would not flush. I repeatedly explained that this needed to be fixed that day. David said he would have maintenance come “as soon as possible.” I worked all day and returned to find that nothing had been fixed. David had not provided any update or even told me whether maintenance had shown up. I contacted the emergency number and was assured someone would handle it, but they stopped responding too. Airbnb contacted David multiple times and told me he had read their messages but did not respond. I ended up getting a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE. David cannot be trusted.”

“The condo has a breathtaking view from the balcony, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was disappointing. There was a lot of sand and dust throughout the condo, the bed linens and pillows were dirty, and the carpets are old and need to be replaced. Other than that, everything else was fine. With better cleaning and a few updates, this could be a wonderful place to stay because the location and the view are truly amazing.”

“We stayed the first week in August. I’ll give the good and bad. Good: The location is great. So many things to do within just a few miles. Having the golf cart was fantastic. In fact, I’m not sure I would stay in Sandestin without one. The view from the condo is absolutely beautiful. The Bad: The condo was absolutely filthy. We spent the first couple hours cleaning it. It’s only fair to say that we DIDN’T CALL THE OWNER. We had already unpacked and didn’t want someone coming in, plus we didn’t want to have to leave. We found ice cream in multiple places, the sofa is soiled terribly, food stuck in the microwave, we had to wash all the dishes. I could go one and on. Just really bad. I wrote the owner upon returning home to make him aware of the condition and sent multiple pictures. I was told twice that he would talk to the team and get back to me and I never heard from them again.”

“Place was nice just had a bad experience since i got there. Something that can be worked on to improve. Bathroom had a leaky toilet. Room had a leaky ceiling woke up to a puddle. Were only given 6 braclets to access amenities. We were a party of 10. Had a rough time trying to get all of us in due to only getting 1 parking pass. Beach made up for it.”

“As stated in other reviews there were a significant amount of dead roaches and several live ones during the stay. Although, there were roach baits throughout the home, it clearly continues to be an issue . In addition to we were without ac during a heat index in excess of 100 temps was absolutely unacceptable. The ac guy that came out said there was water in the line, however, it appears that he didn’t fix it as the ceiling started to actively leak in one of the bedrooms. We came up for our daughter’s birthday and what should have been a fun family night on our last night was far from it. Although the host acknowledged the unacceptable conditions he made no effort to offer any compensation or discount for the inconvenience.”

“No access to retrieve code to enter till after 4pm. Host lacked communication skills. There was a maintenance issue w the unit the week before, host did not contact to let us know. Upon checking in there were workers in unit. They had placed 6 large drying machines throughout. The dryers were left in unit running . Causing excess heat & noise. David seemed to know nothing about the situation. The following afternoon David sent a message for us to pack our belongings & evacuated the unit. As the repair needs to continue & AIRBNB canceled our reservation. David has offered us a smaller 1 bedroom unit. We were a party of 4. Once I declined the smaller unit. David become short & demanding we leave the unit. Once we got settled in to a different unit I realized I had left a small bag of my jewelry, I contacted David & was told he would contact the cleaning crew . This has been 10 days now & no reply yet. David seems to not care about my loss . Very disappointed in such a host .”

“I am so disappointed. David cancelled our reservation THE DAY of our stay. I was landing with my two kids and saw our AirBnB was cancelled. Needless to say, l had to scramble to find a place to stay. Do NOT book. There are so many amazing places and responsible hosts that this place is not worth the risk or the headache.”

“Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing. The location was perfect, but the unit itself felt very bare minimum compared to what we expected. It’s also located on the bottom floor, which we thought from the photo it was the top floor. In my opinion it was very well overpriced. The listing stated there was a hair dryer, but there wasn’t one in the unit. After we requested one, we were told it would arrive by 10:00 AM, but it didn’t show up until around 12:30 PM. There was hair left in the shower, a snake in the pool, and multiple issues getting into the property. The most concerning part was that a locksmith walked into our rental while I was in the shower. He apologized and said he felt bad, but it’s unclear why anyone would enter an occupied unit without notice. Communication throughout the stay was poor. The person I spoke with was inconsiderate and constantly made excuses instead of addressing the issues and keeping their word. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional.”

“As soon as we got in and tried beds, they were sinking down and very uncomfortable. Furnitures were old and broken and stained, Coffee machine and microwave were dusty so I had to clean them up. Each time we contacted Mark, the host, he would not respond, so we had to contact my brother’ s host and he would get in touch with him. After 3 nights we had to cancel our room and get another room in the same building but more expensive. I do not recommend this suite at all because all in all it was dirty and uncomfortable.”

“The condo as described in the ad was not all what it was when we arrived. We arrived after the resort closed and there was no welcome packet provided to security for us to check in. This caused us over an hour to wait to figure out how to get into the condo. The only suggested offer from host was to cancel - we did not want to after driving 12 hours. When we were able to get in, there was missing floors tile, paintings barely hanging and dirty bathrooms. The pull out bed was extremely dirty, stained bedding with dirt and hair like it hadn’t been cleaned, along with the bathrooms. The pull out bed was also broken and unable to be used. Kitchen items were dirty and smelly, and dishwasher also smelled. TVs only had 1 remote causing issues with being able to watch different things in the rooms - had to go buy our own remotes, and yes I took them when we left. Overall, not great and will not book there again.”
