Vacasa in Town Of Phelps, Wisconsin

“This was the second year that we rented this house. The setting is private & peaceful & right on the lake. We enjoyed going out on the dock at various times of the day & evening. The best part was that the eagle pair had another nestling in their nest this year in the tree just yards from the house! Not being from this part of the country, what a treat to see the eagles bringing food back to the nest and standing guard for hours at a stretch!! The house is as described with all listed amenities (and binoculars in the coat closet to watch the eagles!!). It is an older & comfortable home. The furniture is dated but the recliner & couches are surprisingly comfortable, as are the beds. The kitchen is well equipped for serious cooking with about every type of cookware (pots, baking ware, crock pots, cooking utensils etc.) & ample dishes & flatware. The dishwasher needs an upgrade so don't overfill it. This is not a luxury property but it was right up our alley! We would stay here again!”

“I have stayed here before and the place is in a great location for snowmobiling. Nice access to the lake and restaurants. Unfortunately some of the same issues with the home and I will not be back. The front room over looking the lake in winter not usable because lack of heat. Also a fireplace that's inoperable. There's a gas fireplace place in living room that is inoperable and has been for the last year looking at other people's comments. The main cooking pans are same old trash that were there 4 years ago. Overall sad that the Vacasa and the property owner don't listen to feedback. You should disclose the front room in winter is useless.”

“I asked if the lake was accessible by snowmobile from the homes property and was told YES,EASY ACCESS FROM PROPERTY,that was a lie!! I made it clear that we were coming to snowmobile, that means truck and trailer,ad says room for 5 vehicles and trailer,when we arrived the driveway up a hill with a curve was UNPLOWED!! Starting my expensive vacation shoveling out stuck truck and trailer sucked!! Renting out a home in northern Wisconsin, in February, for snowmobilers without preparing the driveway at all is unacceptable!! NOT HAPPY!!!”
