“The Grouse House was comfortable for myself and my 2 daughters. It was a peaceful, quiet location at the end of the lake. But it should be noted that it was weedy and not good for swimming. We enjoyed using the canoe and the one kayak. The second kayak was just too big and wide for us. The paddles for the canoe were challenging! We drove a short distance to Flambeau River State Forest to hike and swim. Also enjoyed the beach at Solberg Lake and an excellent fish fry at the bar on Soo Lake.”

“We stayed here for my husbands race at the Midwest states in the national forest about 45 minutes away! So we really didn’t spend too much time there but the house was exactly as described and we loved the open kitchen !”

“Awesome place for a great get away. Great dock to fish, kayak, and paddleboard from. Town is a quick 10 min drive away. Everything you need in a cabin.”
