“Wonderful place to stay”

“Very nice cabin for a large family with lots of kids. Very nice and helpful neighbors. We had lots of fun doing activities in the cabin and on the property, including fishing. Unfortunately the water seems to be quite low at the time we were there so fishing was not as active. One issue we had was the checkout time being at 9:00 am and the repeated requests we had sent to extend the checkout time to a more standard time were never met with definite answers. Other than that it was a great time for the family.”

“We really enjoyed the beautiful lake and were fortunate to have gorgeous weather during our stay. That said, at this price point, I would expect more than one poor-quality towel per guest for a five-day stay, especially in a lake setting where towels are likely to be used frequently. With no washing machine available, having only one towel per person, and a stack of washcloths instead of a hand towel was inconvenient. The interior could also use some updating, particularly since guests may end up spending more time indoors due to weather. Overall, the location and lake were lovely, but a few improvements would make the stay feel more worthwhile for the price.”

“Good place to stay, the owners need to point out that the cabin does NOT have air conditioning so it stays pretty warm in the cabin. The place needs some regular maintenance, door handles not attached inside some of the rooms.”

“We enjoyed our time in Phillips but several things made the visit less than ideal. We booked this listing in order to be able to use the dock to access the lake. The narrow opening to the area where the dock was located was not large enough for our small pontoon or small fishing boat. Since the listing stated that most small boats could fit we took the chance. So we had to drive to the boat landing to load and unload our boats everyday. We had read on the instructions before that we needed to bring our own toilet paper and paper towels but there was also no cleaning products available including dishwasher pods. We planned to cook all our meals at the house and needed to buy basics like salt and cooking spray which was a little surprising since the listing stated these items were available. The pool table is not full sized and needs to be leveled and you have to pay to use the pinball machine. While the space is pleasant and spacious we found the above challenging.”

“We enjoyed the beautiful views and appreciated that the place was generally well equipped. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by a carpenter ant problem. We found ants throughout the property, including on the floor, ceiling, kitchen table, and even on kitchen pans and utensils. We had no intention of spending our vacation spraying for ants, but we ultimately had no choice. We ran out of ant spray during our stay, and the host did bring more, but we were spraying throughout the week just to keep the ants under control. Additionally, there were issues with the plumbing, as pipes were perspiring and leaking on the bed. While the host was responsive in delivering more spray, the ant infestation and dripping pipes made the stay much less comfortable than expected. We hope these issues are addressed so future guests can fully enjoy what is otherwise a well-equipped property with beautiful views.”

“Our second stay here did not meet the expectations left by our first stay. Our assigned POC was unresponsive via text, business line, or the airbnb messenger. I finally got ahold of Tim, after driving into town and going to the office on a Sunday to see if I could find any one else to call about the broken furnace. Tim was great. The company he works for needs to review its other staff. The house was dirty, the pinball machine was broken, the pool table was darn near unserviceable. There was a dead squirrel in the garage, and the drievway wasnt plowed out.”
