This was our second time at Ford's Talpine. The cabin is nice and cozy, the living space is the best part about the cabin. We enjoyed fires everyday and getting out on the lake. We will be back

No blinds in the living room which can get kinda creepy and feel like there’s no privacy at night but overall a great place to stay. Great outdoors space with many things to do near. There’s also no wifi so plan ahead to bring DVDs if you plan on watching TV! Wendi was great with helping us out in the beginning.

Ford's cabin was perfect for our family trip. The cabin was cozy, clean and inviting. The living space was bright and spacious. The view from the large dining room table and living space was beautiful. We used the fire pit morning and night. We will be back.

our stay was good! The cabin was nice. The living room was beautiful. we had a great view. The place was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. the outdoor area could use a bit of work with some patio furniture and overall needs to be cleaned up a bit. I definitely recommend bringing your own lawn chairs if you plan on sitting outside. although there is a dock, you cannot park a boat there because it is too shallow. Maybe an aluminum camp boat would do fine but anything more than that it’s too shallow. so we just launched the boat at the public boat launch right down the road each day that we went out for a boat ride or for fishing. The lake itself was quiet with a few pontoons and a few jet skis but overall very quiet and peaceful. Mercer has cute shops and we recommend the crafty cup. make sure you make supper club reservations well in advance, at least 24 hours We suggest little Bohemia. Minocqua is a short drive with more great shopping and food. We loved the boathouse
